Found out about Mojo through Offerup when I was on the hunt for a new camera. I saw they had no credit financing options and first thing I thought was, hmm maybe a scam? I searched them up on Yelp and saw their high reviews. Next day, drove down to their location to check it out for myself and see what they were all about. One word. Legit. Highly impressed. I got advice from one of the employees in the camera section to instead purchase another lens that would be not only cheaper but compatible with my camera. I didn't see it was in stock. You don't get advice like this from high end camera stores, most just focus on business and try to sell you more. Mojo's staff know their stuff, highly knowledgeable, plus, got discounts. Ever leave a business so happy with your purchase you can't wait to get home and review it? This sums up my experience with mojos. Today's goal was to purchase a MacBook for my younger sister starting her first semester of college. I found these guys on offer up and originally I was going to hit them up after I went to another computer spot down the street but I am sure happy I went to them first As we walked in I was surprised of the amount of sales men I saw on the floor. This wasn't a bad thing just expected a small computer shop to have one maybe two guys. Anyway we were treated right away by Leo who help us find the right product for our needs and even worked with us on the price, which made me super happy! My original plan was to find the best deal at a couple stores and use that as leverage but with the deal we got I didn't even have to look anywhere else. At the counter he let us know the computer comes with a 6 month warranty. Talk about customer service! This place does shady business. They use a credit company acima that helps with the lease. They don't tell you much about them. I did not do my research on this place or acima. I wish I got the names of the guys that helped me out today. Their customer service was top notch! This morning, I REALLY wanted to get my hands on a Macbook Pro but knew I could not afford to pay all at once. I searched on yelp for retailers that can do financing options and stumbled upon this business. As a student, this financing option of paying in 90 days really saved me! I was able to get approved for partial credit and would have to pay the rest at the store. There was one guy helping me set up the financing paperwork and the other who was helping me put the accessories on my laptop. Really, these guys are so kind and did not pressure me to buy anything at all! They simply just wanted to help me (whether or not I was going to make a purchase). They answered all my questions when I compared a few models of Macbooks side-by-side, financing options and details of them, accessories, service options, warranties, all of it! I really can't believe how nice they were. Really, I can't say enough good things about this place. Financing was almost TOO easy and do-able. I am so, SO glad I found this business on Yelp! Don't forget to check in during your visit for a free gift (possibly with purchase). During my visit, I bought a 2015 Pro and received a free hard-shell case and soft keyboard cover with a brand new charger. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in on the 23rd before Christmas to get my sister a console since everywhere else was sold out. I called ahead of time to see if they had the switch in stock the guy said they did. When I arrived at the store five minutes after getting off the phone with the guy from the store they pulled the switch and were ready to ring me up. One of their friends or someone they know walked in and the guy helping me completely stopped helping me and ignored me and sold the switch to the guest that walked in. They didn't put the switch on hold since it's a high ticket item but I went to go pick it up within 5 minutes of calling the actual store and was in the store when they pulled it and they had another switch on hold for another guest. If you wanna go to somewhere that lies and is dishonest then go here not only was I furious but my boyfriend was mad as well. We wasted gas and our time going to this s****y place. Now here's the good news I ended up getting the switch from ANOTHER LOCATION and they gave us a Christmas discount and two gift cards worth $100 of store credit so we left with two switches and four video games. read more

I bought a Macbook Pro 2015 13 inch from this place in January of 2019. So it's not too long ago but it has been long enough for me to be able to write an extensive review about the product I purchased from them. Honestly, I was very skeptical about buying a machine from this vendor. I mean they were selling some old macbooks for the price of CURRENT generation Macbooks. A 13 inch Macbook pro from 2019 is currently $1299. I bought a 2015 13 inch Macbook Pro from this place for the same price at $1299. the major difference was in the processor but that's a given. Another difference is the storage space. my 2015 macbook has 256GB of storage while a 2019 macbook has 128GB of storage. So, those are the similarities between the machines. I've had my macbook for a few months now and I've noticed a few things that are not deal breakers but given the price I paid for this machine I wouldn't expect anything to be wrong with them whatsoever. Also, I'm a programmer and I type A LOT. I'm a not a huge fan of the new generation butterfly switches on the newer macbooks - that's the main reason opted to buy an older macbook and confidently paid the $1299 price tag. Now, some things wrong I noticed about this specific Macbook I purchased from Mojo Computers are the SPEAKERS and the HDMI port these are highly essential to anybody who uses a laptop. and anybody who uses laptops know how SUPERIOR Macbook speakers are to other laptop speakers. My speakers are a different story - the LEFT speaker doesn't work! It was really disappointing know that my girlfriend' 2015 Macbook AIR speakers were louder than my Macbook pro's speakers. My max volumes literally sounds like 65% volume on her Macbook Air. I CANNOT stress enough how much I asked them if something was wrong with the machine. I know they would never disclose any defections because they would lose the sale but regardless that's why I would recommend against buying anything from this place. Just put yourself in my shoes - if you paid $1299 for ANYTHING - would you expect anything to be broken about it? NO. for reference, a 2015 13 in macbook pro on eBay is around $600. Mojo Computers won me over with their payment plan. the second thing that was broken about this machine was the HDMI port. I program applications and it's highly essential to have a second display to work with. I ALWAYS use a second display when I'm working. the HDMI port is highly sensitive so you are when repositioning your laptop I have to be careful. HOLD UP - I have to be careful about moving my laptop when I have and HDMI cable plugged in??!? Also, I can't even hear my audio unless I have headphones on??! Macbook pro speakers are highly SUPERIOR to other laptop speakers or am I just hearing impaired? my aunt's $300 7 year old laptop doesn't even have that issue - can someone explain how my 2015 MACBOOK PRO that I paid $1299 for is having that issue? DO NOT get a machine from MOJO COMPUTERS if you have other options. this place should be your last resort. They're just SALESMEN, they will LIE to you just to make the sale. to help you test a Macbook's speakers use this test(youtube.com/watch?v=6TWJ...) - it's a Stereo Speaker test - you'll 100% know if something's wrong. The owner did reach out to me and that's fine - he made sure it was brought to my attention that I was allowed to bring in my machine for repairs. Regardless, I shouldn't have had this problem - if they knew what they were doing then they are highly aware of what a refurbished items - their products should be going through testing and if there are any issues - those issues should be handled before they make it to the shelves. Think about the money you'll be spending and the tradeoffs - you'll be paying the same amount of money that you'd be paying for a brand new up to date machine - EXCEPT it'll be over time. MOJO COMPUTERS' only benefit to their customers is their payment plan. Otherwise, I suggest going to Ebay first and compare prices. I advise that you DO NOT buy from here unless you're desperate and would rather make payments - don't make the same mistake I did - be patient. read more
