The food was absolutely amazing! From the appetizers to the main entrees and all the various drinks, everything was beautifully presented and scrumptious. The general atmosphere was also very nice, definitely a nice place to hang out with friends on a special occasion. There's also live music on certain nights, but we did not experience that on Saturday. This in no way took away from the experience. The service was also very good, especially considering we were up on the second floor. There were multiple people that helped deliver our food and drinks, and our server was wonderful and attentive. I am extremely excited about this new addition to the Cumberland/Sandy Springs corridor! Latin American eatery that provides both bubbling atmosphere and intimate dining experiences. The scenery is a bonus (especially when the fountain is on). The food is consistent - always fresh and always flavorful. The drinks - fantastic. The service, also consistent. I was super excited to check this place out but it was not what I expected. The location and ambiance of this spot are really cool. The decoration and river views are beautiful and the restaurant is big enough to allow social distancing between tables, staff wears masks and service is good. But the most important thing, the food, was severely disappointing. We started with the queso poblano and added chorizo: it was very soupy and it lacked the stringy consistency of an authentic Oaxacan cheese -which is listed in the menu as part of the app-. Both our entrees, pork carnitas and chipotle lamb ribs, had really overpowering flavors that drowned the dish entirely. The pork carnitas had a very strong cinnamon flavor and what we think were caramelized apples, a flavor that in our opinion did not pair well with the very tasty charro beans and green salsa. Cinnamon was not listed as part of the dish and threw us off. According to the menu the chops are drizzled with a sweet habanero sauce. In our case they were drenched with a sauce that tasted more like an asian sweet and sour. A beer, a cocktail, an app, 2 entrees and tip = $105. read more

Ambiance - 5 Food - 3 Service - 2 They tried to seat us at a crappy table despite having reservations to an otherwise not full dining room. We requested a change, and they obliged. Our server never showed up despite walking past us 10 times, so I alerted the host who notified the server. The biggest bummer, the server never even gave a light apology. I came here because I saw online they had my favorite drink, the Caipirinha. However, our server notified us that the were out of some ingredients, bummer number 2. Our tostada appetizer tasted fresh, but really bland. It was definitely missing something. We also shared lettuce wrap tacos which were pretty good. Loud, overpriced, understaffed and overcrowded with drunks enjoying bottomless drinks. The shrimp and grits was $28.95 and consisted of a watery soup of boudin containing a couple of shrimp. Grits were congealed mass stuck to bottom of the bowl. No spoon provided. My wife's dish was wrong and had to be sent back by the waiter we saw only every 20 minutes or so. So if you want a $200 lunch in a room full of loud drunks with shitty food and rude service, Mojave is your go-to. Also the restaurant charges for valet parking. Tip is extra. read more

Three hours later, I started to vomit and everything else that follows with food poisoning. I had to repeat several times to get everything out in my system. But I think my body was still fighting whatever virus. I ended up in the ER that night. Called management of the restaurant. They said they are busy and won't even return or respond to my call. Beautiful location. Fresh food and bold flavor! The guacamole appetizer was outstanding. I also enjoyed the blue corn bread with honey butter and thought the Ceviche was delicious. I ordered the crab enchiladas and thought they were very good. The rice and beans were delicious as well - I could definitely tell they were fresh and made from high quality ingredients. My buddy got the pork carnitas and I tried some of the pork. Have to admit this was the way to go and I look forward to ordering it next time. The pork was so tender and fell apart. I ate dinner here with my coworkers and it was delicious! I ordered the tequila salmon. It was cooked medium rare, and included asparagus. They did a great job with the temp and it was definitely not overcooked at all! The asparagus was great too. It was flavored well and complimented the salmon. Our service was also great. This place has yet to disappoint. Went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy but not overly busy. Enough people to feel like you're not the center of attention, but not too many people that you feel lost in a crowd. The restaurant offers valet. Side note: the valet instructed me to park my own car instead of using their service which kinda irked me because it was cold. Not sure what that was all about after seeing them take other people's car. Hey, upside, I got to keep my $10 tip. For starters we had the fresh guacamole which was so delicious. Seasoned perfectly! The entree was the Tequila Orange Salmon and I'm telling you it was DELICIOUS! Plating was stunning. I love a chef that plates the food like it's art. Careful and precise for every dish. Salmon was cooked to perfection with flavors that danced on my tongue like a night out on the town. The potato cake it rested on was delicious and moist. Like a treat after the party. This is a experience worth going to. Went there on Saturday for brunch with my son and his girlfriend for her day after birthday brunch. It's very atmosphere and location. Food is divine, service is superb and owners are beyond friendly and experienced in what they do. It's Latin listed but it's beyond that. It's more Mediterranean with European Spanish tapa stile. It's so satisfying and absolutely delicious. If you are in this area it's a must go see restaurant. Atlanta has so many nice restaurants but location here is just so out of the ordinary. I'm giving two stars for the scenery and wait to be seated. I had a reservation so we only had to wait about 5-10 mins to be seated. Our waitress came after about 10 mins of waiting. We ordered a mimosa, peach sangria and orange juice along with water. About 20 min go by and we still don't have our drinks. Then another 5 min and we ask if the bar has made our drinks. The waitress had the "oh shoot" look on her face and then says she thought someone brought them up. Who girl? It's only been you upstairs bringing drinks and food. She quickly returns with our drinks. During the 25 min wait we did order food. We sat down at 2:05 and ordered at 2:30 and didn't get our brunch food until 3:45. The food was warm and some items were cold. We didn't even bother to send it back as I needed to be somewhere across town by 5 and didn't have another hour to waste. I ordered the chicken wings. I got eight wings for $13.95. they were really great, and I have no complaints. I stayed away from main courses because they were all very pricey. our waiter Drew was very help and attentive. he did mention to us in advance that since we are a group that gratuity will be added to the check. this is fine I'm used to this but I didn't realize it was going to be 20%. I normally tip 20% for great service anyway but I didn't know that restaurants can tack on 20% just on their own. all that said, the food was really good, but I don't know if I would be back. The outdoor patio is amazing during the spring and fall (it can get hot during the summer). The elegant decor reminds me of being in Spain. I highly recommend the calamari (please tel them you want shrimp with yours too!). The seafood omelet and pállela are also phenomenal.
