9 cars were broken into while I was dining at Mojave and 6 cars were associated with our party. There was a sign reminding patrons to not leave any belongings in your car but if those are your odds while parked in a well lit parking lot then I would rather dine at another establishment. The hostess was not responsive or reactive when alerted of the incident or when asked to call 911. It wasn't until the police had come and gone and most people had already left before the manager came out to offer an apology. Well, given how they night began, we thought this was going to be worse than it was. I was worried when we had to wait 10-15 minutes in the valet line, with cars out into the street and blocking traffic. They obviously need to figure that out, as it was a huge safety issue. The good things: -waitress was very nice and attentive. checking on us fairly frequently. -cocktails were great and bar was relatively quick given the crowd - except for our last request (a latte and a expresso martini), which took well over 20 minutes. -apps were tasty. We got the guac and the crab cake. Crab cake could have been a little bigger, or even two of the same size, for the price though -paella was very tasty and fresh. The bad things: -the valet service, as mentioned above. Beside the wait, please fix it before someone gets seriously injured or killed in a motor vehicle accident while sitting out in a public street where people go well above the speed limit. -it seemed it was the bus boy's job - the waitress also did it a time or too, but they need to work on clearing finished glasses and plates out of the way quicker. We both sat for 10+ minutes multiple times awaiting our crowded two-person table to be cleared of items we were through with. -the short ribs, while okay, were not great. They were slightly tough, but the biggest issue is that they come out drowned in BBQ sauce, which the menu description makes zero mention of. It certainly was not what I was expecting for this level/genre of restaurant, and I wouldn't order it again. All that said, we will be back to try different things across their menu but hope they can address these issues. read more

Second time coming, same experience. Good service but food is bland. No flavor, at all. Ordered guacamole had to add salt, lime and pepper to it. Lobster roll had no flavor. I had to squeeze lemon on it just so I could eat it. It cost $35. Not worth it. Presentation was also lacking. Corn was cold and tasted like it was just floating in water. Only thing that was good were the hush puppies. They were stuffed with corn. My husband ordered the tacos and they were just ok. Again, no flavor. Drinks are average. The have valet parking available but also a lot of parking in the adjacent parking lot for free. We sat inside so I can't speak to outside. But the inside was very nice and chill. Yep drinks, guacamole, lobster roll, three tacos and a side of street corn cost $114. If the food had been good, I wouldn't care about the price. But this food...totally not worth it. The only reason I am giving three stars is because the server was nice. Nothing spectacular about the service, but it was good service nonetheless. Will I be back? It's a no for me. This was my second time coming here. The first time I had lunch but I was really wanting to try brunch. My mother came in from out of town and we wanted to eat somewhere with nice outdoor seating. The restaurant is very nice and quaint and outside there is a fountain that is surrounded my flowers. It adds nice ambience to the meal visually and with the sound of the water fountain flowing. When we first arrived, our hostess was a bit short and rude, but our server made up for it. She was so pleasant and gave us excellent recommendations. The first thing we got were mimosas and coffee. I had to cranberry and my mom had the pineapple. They were both delicious. For our meals, I ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. It was served with a yummy chocolate sauce and was piping hot when it came out. My mom got the eggs Benedict. The hills raise tasted house made and the egg was poached perfectly. She also had potatoes which she said had good flavor, but could have been cooked a little longer. Everything was delicious and despite the hostess, our service was excellent. My husband and I were avid fans of Rose and Crown and visited regularly so were super excited to try Mojave. The restaurant is beautiful inside! Wonderful decor and ambiance. It was a little loud with the live music and several large parties, but we were still able to hear each other across the table. The service was ok, not great. Drinks from the bar took forever and our waiter seemed to have gotten extremely busy towards the end so it took a while to get our check, however both our appetizers and entrees came out quickly. The food was very good, but I feel it is a little overpriced in my opinion. Its a beautiful restaurant, and the food was descent. Some was amazing and a couple things were mediocre. Lamb chops memorable. My main issue was with the service. The restaurant was less than half capacity, it took 20-25 min to take out our order. Our appetizers arrive 30 min later and out drinks arrived 20 min after that. The server didn't check on us until 15 min after we we got our entrees and overall we felt as though we were trying desperately to get her attention. At the end we got stuck with a n auto 20% gratuity. I have worked in the service industry so i make it a point to be a good tipper, i will always tip min 20%. However i think that our particular server did not earn that 20% considering how long we waiting in a half empty restaurant and how hard it was to get her attention. read more

I really wanted to say this place was great, and the food was amazing. Unfortunately it wasn't. I made reservations for 9:45, took them about 5 minutes to get us seated. Upon sitting, server came up and asked if we had any questions. I asked about the enchiladas, and he said "eh" I said eh like what? And he says "you want me to give you the server response? It's great!" He was actually really nice even with that side comment/joke. But I wasn't necessarily laughing. He brings us waters, takes our drink order. The drinks take about 15-20 minutes to arrive, we order an appetizer, tacos, with a request of mine not having the tomato sauce. For sides street corn, and Spanish rice. We placed our orders. Another 15 minutes roll by and we still haven't gotten our appetizer. Then the meals come out with my order being incorrect, he comes by and apologizes and said he'll take it back. Now that process took about 10 minutes, and I still had no food but he comes back to the table to apologize and says that they are remaking it. Another 10-15mins and nothing. Our appetizer never even arrived. I ended up just telling him I wanna pay for my drinks and my partners food and be done. The drinks were alright. Cute to look at. Other than that, it's a one and done place for me. They did have some cute koozies for free. But I will not be back here. Their menu is also very small. And they put us in area by the kitchen, we couldn't even hear the live music. The ambiance just wasn't there either. It was cinco de mayo, so I understand the busyness, so I tried to be as understanding as possible, but it wasn't that busy. And waiting 20 minutes for drinks, and never receiving my appetizer, and waiting an hour for my meal I never got, is just lacking. 2 stars because the server was apologetic, and did check on us. read more

This please was such a pleasant surprise on this past weekend. Went Saturday during a very busy time to treat my bestie. The snapper tacos, Mexican soup and oh my goodness...that bulliet cocktail...out of this world!!!! The waitress was very cute and accommodating she sat us outdoors and kept us abreast of everything including the name of the bartender whom I think is Amanda. Sorry if that's wrong but anywho. I came here for Sunday brunch this past Sunday to enjoy the weather and finally get out after all these months. The staff at Mojave's did a wonderful job at ensuring everyone's safety. They all wore mask & kept everyone distanced. We sat at the Patio which was beautiful. We were many feet away from others. The brunch was DELICIOUS & we did bottomless mimosas. The price for bottomless was only $15 & there were 4 flavors to choose from. Grapefruit, Orange, Cranberry & Pineapple! I would definitely go back. Loved this place for brunch! The breakfast panini was delicious and the outdoor seating was perfect even in the summer. We did the bottle of champagne with whatever juice we wanted and 1 bottle was perfect! Only thing I would say is I wish they poured the juice for us or gave us a pitcher for it. Let me start by saying I'm a huge foodie with high standards across food, beverage, service, atmosphere, ambiance, and everything that goes into dining and entertainment experiences. I'm sitting down to write this review the moment I got home from the restaurant just now. I'm not historically a Yelper but I have to write this word vomit that the restaurant has induced. I really wish I could give zero stars. This was the worst, most shockingly disappointing experience from end to end I've had in years. This restaurant felt like a kindergarten classroom. First of all, it's not "Latin American Cuisine" as they advertise, it's just middle-of-the-mall american mexican food, and that's being generous. The outrageous prices would have one think otherwise, but no. The ambiance and decor was cheap, sloppy, juvenile and straight out of 1994, a restaurant that sucked in 1994 too though. The food: I got the $30 pork carnitas, a dish I normally love. First of all, it comes out on the plate looking like someone poured their diaper on the dish. The presentation was as if a child put a meal together for their first time when their parents were working late. The Spanish rice was flavorless. The pork was mostly bland and flavorless but slightly sweet. The 'peach chutney' was just a few large, sloppy peach slices. The flavor profile was all sweet, no acidity or seasoning at all, and completely imbalanced. I also had chips and guacamole. The guacamole was bland and flavorless as hell and the tostadas they came with tasted like stale dog biscuits. Everyone's meal visually looked worth maybe $7 or $8 like from the only restaurant in a town with a population of 200 people (entrees are 20, 30, 40, and 50 dollars). No finesse of any kind whatsoever. I really can't stress enough how freaking embarrassing the food is here. I'm not big on fast food but McDonalds would have been better. Literally anything else would have been better than this. The service was very weak too. We sat at the bar and the bartender didn't know anything about the food, the drinks, or anything. He was totally rude and air-headed and definitely took away from the experience even more. My girlfriend had to give him the step-by-step walkthrough just to get her Margarita. And the guy was a dick about it even though he was the one that couldn't execute something so simple without help. The valet guy sucked too and I'm pretty sure he lied about the lot being full because it was mostly empty yet I still had to valet. And he was aggressive about me sending the money on Cash app even though I had every intention to pay him right then even though he was super slow and ignored me multiple times on the way in and the way out. I can't for the life of me understand how this place is actually in business today or even had a chance to survive past the early 90s. I don't know why anybody would ever go back here. You would have to either be a drunk, a child, or the most naive and uncultured type of adult to enjoy this place. Shitty flavor. Shitty presentation. Shitty food. Shitty service. Shitty prices. Shitty drinks. Shitty atmosphere. I'm going to have to pretend this night never happened, put it behind me as quickly as possible, and take this giant L. The restaurant is esthetically pleasing from the outside and inside. If you are going with a group, I definitely recommend putting in a reservation. When we arrived we were seated fairly quickly. They have 2 levels and outside seating with a view of a lake. It's very spacious and gives you a comfortable feeling. The menu has an ok selection. My friends and I decided to order appetizers before our main course. We ordered the calamares frescos(calamari) with shrimp and they gave us complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The calamari was not too bad, but the shrimp was decent. The tortilla chips were very big, so you had to break them to dip in the salsa. The salsa wasn't salty at all, but could use more flavor. For my main course, I had ordered the Pork Carnitas which came with steamed flour tortillas, beans, rice, and mangoes giving it a sweet taste. The waiter that we had was cool, but because he was attending to so many other tables he took a while to get back with us. Our eating utensils had stuff on them, so that made me think that they didn't thoroughly wash and sanitize them. We asked for new utensils and a cup of hot water to put them in. They have a decent selection of non alcoholic/alcoholic drinks. The alcoholic drinks were fairly priced, but since we went on a Monday they had drink specials. My friend had to send her drink back because it had something floating in it. Towards the end of our experience, we decided to split a dessert. The the dessert of choice was the tres leches and it came with cake served with blackberries, tangerines, whipped cream, and coffee ice cream. It was really good and I definitely recommend if you have a sweet tooth after your meal. I was eager to try this restaurant because it was mentioned so many times on tiktok. I will say that my experience was ok. This restaurant is definitely good for birthday gatherings, brunch, date nights, and even a solo date. read more

Definitely do NOT recommend eating here if you have any form of food allergies. I verified my allergies, one of which is dairy, with the waiter twice, asked if they could make it safe, and the waiter checked with the kitchen and said they could accommodate me. The order came out, and I double checked if the food was prepared safe. The waiter double checked with the kitchen and said it was safe. I was still unsure based on the appearance, so ate what I could confirm was safe. The "sauce" congealed and looked more like cheese as the minutes passed by. When the waiter eventually came by, I asked him if the item had cheese, he checked with the kitchen, and surprise...it was CHEESE! I don't know if it was the fault of the waiter or kitchen, but clearly there is a disconnect somewhere. The waiter was mildly apologetic, and took $8 off the $41 entree (eye roll). If you can't accommodate my allergies, I can order something else; if you can't accommodate any allergy order, I'm happy to dine somewhere else. I've lived with allergies my whole life. I know some places can't, and that's ok. But don't say you can make it safe, and then serve me something with cheese! Thankfully dairy is not one of my anaphylactic allergies, otherwise I would have had to use an EpPen. 0/10, do NOT recommend. read more

Mojave is hands down of the prettiest, most aesthetically pleasing restaurants I have been to in Atlanta, I just absolutely adore the decor and interior design. The service is always absolutely top notch, too. I just came back from enjoying a Spanish Frittata at brunch with the potato casserole on the side and WOW, did they knock it out of the park. I also tried my husband's grits and if you are a stoneground grits person, you have GOT to try these. The only reason I'm knocking off a single star is because my husband and I have been here for dinner on multiple occasions and some of our meals just didn't live up to our expectations (which were very high due to the price and the fancy interior, you know?). Drinks are always great, though! I really want Mojave to succeed because everyone there is so nice and it's such a lovely dining experience. We will definitely keep coming back for brunch on the weekends, and maybe at some point, we'll give their dinner menu another try. read more
