I had the absolute best experience at Jet City Device Repair!!! I would 1000% recommend going to Jet City Device Repair over any Apple store for help with ANY Apple device PERIOD!!! I recently had issues with my iPhoneX screen so I originally took it into Apple to get it fixed. I was told by one Apple employee that my phone would be a minimum $300 fix if I wanted to keep my same phone. After I agreed and they took my phone to fix the screen, I go pick it up to find out they found slight water damage (on a water resistant phone) and will not work on the device. It will now be $550 to replace the phone and toss my old phone which I need because I wasn't able to backup my phone. So I called Jet City immediately after and he explained what he thought was wrong with my phone and reassured me he would be able to fix it. I was able to make an appointment for the next day no problem. When I arrived I was met with amazing service and I handed over my phone. Almost immediately they were able to figure out the issue and figure out it was simply a part of the display was connected!! He plugged it back in and it was good as new!!! They added a little extra adhesive to make sure it wouldn't happens again and I had my phone again like nothing ever happened. Seriously best experience I've ever had dealing with any issues I've ever had with an iPhone, and I've had an iPhone since a 3GS. Let's face it. These days, you're addicted to your phone like a deranged lunatic, desperate for your next hit of instant gratification. So 30 minutes can seem like a long time to be separated from your favorite mobile social media. A half-hour with NO SNAPS? I can't imagine a worse hell, either. But when you think about it, it's astonishing that the friendly, competent staff at Jet City can repair the iphone screen you shattered playing ping pong at a wedding after-party last weekend, or whatever, in only 30 minutes. Even Jimmy Johns is freaked out that can be done so quickly. And Jet City stocks their waiting room with video games and cool magazines, to help you endure the withdrawal symptoms you're likely to experience while deprived of mobile listicles, Instagram likes, and Candy Crush. For example, I found a great recipe for eggplant parm in Bon Appetit (which is a magazine made out of paper, for you Millenials). Did you know salting the eggplant slices before baking will draw out excess moisture, giving it a creamier texture? I digress. The point is, I recommend Jet City. read more

Jet city is great. Unfortunately, I dropped my iPhone X in some water. It worked for a week then screen went black. I went to Apple and they wouldn't even look at the phone they said sorry since it's water damaged all we can do is replace it with the same kind of phone that you have now. Apple wanted to charge me over $500 for this. My wife suggested that I try a local repair shop. She gave them a call and I was able to bring my phone in the next day. TJ, the one who helped us, was very informative and was honest about what they could do for the phone. They decided to first go with opening up the phone and letting it air out to see if they can get all the water out. When I came back to pick up the phone everything was working except for the Face ID which I was told probably would not be able to fix due to condensation in camera. TJ and Jet City were a lifesaver. They only charged me $30 to air out the phone.. I am so glad that we used them, and I would recommend them to anybody else that has iPhone problems. read more

I would give this place my first born if they asked. (Not really, but I would definitely contemplate it. If they offered to repair my phone for the rest of my life? Hell yea, take the damn kid.) Shattered my phone in a pretty stupid way. Aka, it fell off my lap as I was getting up from a chair. Judge me. Anyway, booked a courier pick up and had the phone picked up, fixed, and delivered within a span of about 1.5 hours. (This sounds like quite some time, but I'm sure the actual repair time is very short. It's probably just the whole courier service that takes a bit.) The pick up was scheduled after 12pm, which is their cut off for same day repair and delivery but they still had it back the same day and faster than I expected. Pricing is reasonable as heck and the quality is great. My phone was handed back in a little bubble wrap bag to protect it from my stupidity. Excellent. P.S. The people at Jet City will never overcharge or offer you services you do not need. On several occasions, they've recommended going to the Apple Store before seeing them. They'll even provide advice over the phone if you give them a call. I love Jet City Device Repair with my whole heart, and always walk out of the store feeling confident in my technology and warmed by the friendliness of their service. I don't spend much time in Chicago, but they demand such fierce loyalty that I often mail my devices in when they're in need of repair. After breaking my iPhone screen on a Sunday, I did a Yelp search and found Jet City Device Repair. It was easy to book an appointment online for Monday and they were able to take me ahead of my appointment time. As others have written it's a fun space, and staff were great at checking and confirming the issue and discussing options (my screen had broken near the speaker and camera, so they also checked to make sure nothing was malfunctioning there). They were professional and friendly and I had my fully repaired phone back in about 40 minutes. I also picked up a glass screen protector which they helped me install. It was a quick and efficient experience and if I ever have to get something fixed on my iPhone again, I'm definitely going to go back. I have come to JCD multiple times over the past couple of years and have nothing but great praises for their work. While there are videos on how to do many repairs yourself, cell phone manufacturers are *avidly* invested in making self repair a pain in the rear. The team at JCD makes it super simple to take your phone in, go get a sandwich at Monk's and return to a working phone. My last repair (something loose in the case) was repaired faster than I could walk down the block and back (your mileage may vary - but still). Coming to this particular shop is well out of my way, but they cover their work - know who you are when you show up and give you honest, fast and friendly service. You can go to a local shop if you like to pay less for a repair, but you'd be wasting your time and money. I'll keep spending my money at JCD. read more

Worked with the guys at Jet City to replace the screen ony iPad Air 2. Its an old device, but I'm not ready to give it up yet. Service was just plain excellent. I brought my device in on a Saturday. I was given an honest estimate for when I could expect to have it returned (Monday or Tuesday). But they actually got it done in one day!!!! The repair was perfect. I would never be able to tell that screen was replaced. It looked like a brand new device! Oh! And did I mention the fair pricing? Short story: If you want to leave your device in the hands of people who are both knowledgeable and kind, then look no further than Jet City Device Repair. I've been to Jet City twice. Once for battery replacement on I-phone 5 a few years ago and recently for cracked screen replacement for current phone. I called to make appointment but they ended up saying I could come right away. They initially said repair would take 30 min. but after 15 min. they were done and my phone looks brand new! You can either drop your device off and come back when repair done or they allow you to make appt. and then you can wait while they do repair which is nice. Courteous and friendly staff and excellent service. I hope I don't have a need to go back any time soon but since things happen I will definitely go back to Jet City. Their pricing is fair and in line with what you would pay for same service someplace else. read more

I took my iPad to Apple to see why my screen had hairline streaks, they told me it was an "internal squeeze". Even though there was no visible damage and I'd only had it a little over a year and used it a few times... Since they only stand behind their own products for 1 yr and applecare is a rip off (IMO because even still you get a refurbished product after you've paid enough to buy a brand new product), their only advice was to buy a new iPad with a $100 rebate for my old iPad. I googled and found Jet City Device Repair, sent an email asking about price and if it could be fixed. They replied right away, I took my iPad in, they fixed it and my iPad is back to brand new. I used to utilize the location when they were on Southport and later on Clark near Fullerton. After those shops shut, I wasn't sure Jet City was still in Chicago. I was delighted to see they still had a shop open in the Loop. If you need timely work done on a phone, computer or other device then Jet City is your place. It is as easy as dropping it off at or near your appointment time, leaving to have a coffee or run some errands and picking the item back up a short time later. Staff is very helpful and takes the time to explain what they will do to fix your device. I have had multiple iPhone screens replaced by them and have not had to return since getting them replaced. This place is just AMAZING. Came upon it while searching for a repair shop that could fix an OLED fault (line running down screen and green light flashes) in my iPhone XS and also the audio microphone. Made an easy appointment online and they were able to get me in same day! Met Noel at the front desk and he is truly the epitome of customer service. Just told me to leave my phone and in 25 mins, it'd be ready. And that's exactly how it went. Screen looks brand new with no issues whatsoever. Searched Google and Yelp for a service close by that can repair a cracked iPhone X screen. Quick response on Yelp from Jet City with a quote. Called for an appointment immediately and was told to drop phone off it would take 30 minutes. Service was professional and fast even during Covid. Price seemed reasonable. I would have also got the screen protector installed then and there too - it's a good deal with lifetime warranty if it does crack but I wanted a privacy screen. Would definitely recommend this place between Wacker and Lake St on Wells, and go back if I need other electronics serviced. The battery of my Samsung S6 phone was draining way too fast, and I knew I needed a new one if I was going to keep an otherwise good phone. I searched for a repair shop in the Loop and chose Jet City based on the reviews, proximity, and the photo of their shop. After walking about four blocks, I entered a really cool storefront and was met by a couple of very friendly and knowledgable guys at their front desk. They told me how much it would cost and how long it would take, and I entered a couple of pieces of info on an iPad --- less than an hour later, I had a new battery at a reasonable cost, and now my phone lasts almost the entire day. AWESOME customer service!!! I was in Chicago for a once in a life time family trip with my 89yr Granny and my phone died. I was so upset that I could not take any photos of her, until I found these guys on Google. Not only did the get me in right of way they replaced my battery right there in front of me. Unfortunately they same problem happened again (not their fault), Jet City had me come right back in and replaced the battery again. Not only were these guys lifesavers but very friendly and awesome customer service. I could not have been more pleased. I went back to my hotel and told everyone how great these guys were! Jet City on Wells is the best place in the city to get your phone repaired. They are quick, honest, and reliable. I only go to them for my needs for my iphone, my wife's iphone, and ipad. Owning a smart phone is expensive, but having downtime standing in line at an apple store is more expensive and inconvenient. They usually fix your problem at jet city while you wait. There is never a line to get in. They should change their name to "Quick City"........If you or someone you know is walking around with a cracked screen, get it fixed NOW at Jet City. IPAD AIR 2. I needed my battery replaced, it wasn't in stock because it's a common battery that's requested. Noel was beyond GREAT. He assured me that once the battery arrives he'd be sure to give me a call. Within 24hrs later he reached out and informed that the battery had arrived. Next day I went in and work started immediately on my IPAD. Close to a hour later, Noel text me informing me that my IPAD had been finished and was ready for pickup. He was once again, BEYOND GREAT. I dropped my iPhone 12 Pro Max getting in my car then somehow ran it over, I drove to Modify Devices and they told me it can't be fixed sump bout the frame. I sat outside in my car called up a mobile repair company down the street icell mobile repair they came fast and fixed it in the van under half an hour , it's working they fixed the frame and screen for under $200. I feel like jet city didn't want to help me. iCell tech asked me if I realized there is a repair shop right in front of me , I had to explain he was surprised aswell. How embarrassing! I was very pleased with my first time to use Jet City. I was having battery problems with my iPhone 7 and saw on their website they were Apple Authorized and could replace the battery. I called and scheduled an appointment immediately. Their loop location was very convenient. Noel checked the battery to confirm it needed to be replaced and had me on my way in 15 minutes with a new battery installed.
