The Eggplant, Goat Cheese and Red Pepper Sandwich. Woah!

Keep in mind that I am just reviewing the flat bread"pizza". The flat bread is not very good and I was really hoping it would be. We got the Pepe which was ok and also the Buffalo chicken one which was horrible. The Buffalo"pizza" hardly had any buffalo sauce on it so all you could taste was blue cheese. The salads and the soup looked pretty good so MAYBE we will go back for that but the flat bread is a waste of time. If you want pizza go get pizza, not flat bread. read more

I ate at this restaurant in Boulder for the first time today. I want to commend them on a few things that have really impacted me: They posted nutritional values! THANK YOU!!! ModMarket is one of very few restaurants who are willing to openly post the nutritional information for menu selections. Not only that, but they post the nutritionals for the full amount served on the plate for the large/regular portion! So many restaurants try to improve their image by posting nutritionals for half of a pizza, or a small salad with no dressing, or things of that nature. This immediately conveyed that they had credibility and culinary integrity. After I paid for my dish, I noticed that the nutritionals are also printed on the receipt ---- BRILLIANT! Keep it up! This alone is worth being a repeat customer (let alone for the reasons I'm about to list below). The food that was ordered was prepared in a timely manner, was absolutely delish, and tasted like (justifiably so) it was made with fresh ingredients. I didn't get that gross but somehow still unsatisfied feeling in the bottom of my stomach that is typically there after eating the "regular" portion at other comparably priced restaurants. The staff was friendly, excited to help me, and was able to offer thoughtful suggestions. I loved this because I am an adventurous eater and love to try new things - especially things recommended by people who know what they're talking about. I had a great experience at this establishment and am glad that someone finally opened a restaurant that has the healthful qualities I value, delish food, and resonable prices without the pretentious Boulder attitude. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to being a (frequent) repeat customer. read more

Great concept in dining. Unique menu. The prosciutto and eggs were fabulous. Eggs over just enough to dip toast in. Toast slightly burnt but not enough to ruin dining experience. I really like Modmarket and it is in my best interest for them to do really well and open a Denver location so I can go there more often!!! I popped in for lunch a few weeks ago after a ride and had the Simplegreen salad with chicken. It was really tasty and it tasted healthy, like I was doing a good thing for my body by eating it. And for the price it was YOOGE!! I am usually a member of the clean plate club but I could not finish it. I also liked the atmosphere, very modern and clean. My only beef with Modmarket is that they should have dessert, I didn't really see any and when I have a healthy lunch I like to reward myself with a nice cookie (very counter-productive I am sure). I am excited to go back and try a few more items the next time I'm in Boulder looking for a healthy meal. read more

The whole process from ordering to sitting down felt chaotic and hurried. The service at the counter was terrible. The bathroom was filthy and the guy preparing our foods rubbed his crotch and then served us our food. Overall just yuck. read more

Was in for FREE dinner 2 days prior to store opening. Great deal and nice salad and flat bread pizza. Nice way to get a following. Big crowd for gratis food. This place has food that's the true definition of what I call happy food. Just LOOK at it...it looks like it's smiling. Totally for serious though, it's fresh, "doesn't make your stomach hurt" food. When I walked in the first time I said "it smells like my kitchen." And that's a compliment. It smells like someone's cooking something good, and not like at a restaurant. I've had their salads which are delicious, light and with great ingredients. I've also had their Flatiron steak/chipotle aioli, tomato, lettuce sandwich and it's absolutely fabulous. Great for gluten free seekers too. Although, I love my gluten. I usually bring in my own food to work, but I think it's a great lunch place. Oh and for those concerned about service and all that other not-as-important stuff-to-me....they are very nice, location is convenient with lots of parking. read more

Mod market is one of my favorite casual dining restaurants in Boulder. They always offer great service and the food is always phenomenal. Their pizzas are so yummy and a great deal! BBQ chicken is amazing!! My favorite salad is the flatiron salad - the steak on it is always great. Their selection of organic soda's is a plus. The ginger ale is my favorite! Overall, always a pleasure dining in or taking out. read more

Modmarket is one of the best places I have found to grab a quick lunch in Boulder. I would likely go here at least twice a week, but it seems I am not the only one who has figured this out. If you are going to go to Modmarket, I would advise making your lunch an early one. Get there past noon and you will be waiting 20 min for a sandwich, to go. read more

First time coming here. Have eaten at almost every restaurant in the 28th st mall and wanted to try out Modern Market. I got a half order salad of super greens and fruit (it was big enough for a full portion easily) and the everything-cado toast, which was avocado and salmon on delicious bread. Terrific alternative to ordinary fast food places!!!! The salads are so fresh with wonderful healthy locally grown toppings. The flatbreads are just amazing, the steak and chicken are so tender and juicy, it's hard to decide which I prefer. My favorite salad is definitely , "The Cobbish!" Love the dressing too! Went to Modmarket for dinner tonight and it was amazing! We made our own salad (which was huge) and had the Med pizza... it was all spectacular. The flatbread crust was bomb. My boyfriend and I don't get full easily, but sharing a salad and pizza did the trick, and it was healthy! I also have to mention the $2 wines because as a college student, duh. Will definitely be going back, and because they have WIFI I'll probably be doing homework there as well. P.S. love the decor, It looks like the future. read more

This has become one of my recent fav's for grabbing as quick and healthy meal. I have been to the one in Boulder and Longmont. They have a great and modern feel, with each one unique in it's own way. The staff are good at keeping things clean and in order, even when they are busy and turning tables quickly. They have a nice selection of options and each time I have made a special request, the staff have been very accommodating. I have been on a Prosciutto Pizza kick lately, and I like that you can order the pizzas whole or half, if you aren't hungry enough to finish the whole thing. Food was decent, but my plate was covered in sauce on the bottom, which was sort of disturbing. It was shockingly like most Boulder Restaurants with a very low bar set for standards, I have just accepted the fact that a 30 minute drive to Denver will satisfy my foodie fix. read more

Awesome. Nothing's better than eating out and actually feeling good about what you've put in your body afterwards. There have been a few salad places that have popped up in Colorado in recent years and Modmarket is by far the best. The produce is fresh and the grilled meats are tasty and lean. You can also bring the kids because they offer flatbreads that are incredibly healthy (whole grain dough, not too much cheese), but the kids won't know if you don't tell them. The prices can't be beat. Try ordering a full size salad with grilled chicken and 7 toppings at any other salad place for $8.50. My only question is, when is one opening in the Tech Center?! read more

I've been looking for ways to eat healthier--more local foods, more organic foods, and only humanely raised meat. As you might imagine, this can make finding affordable restaurants tough, so I was really excited when I came across modMarket's website while looking at the 29th Street restaurant options. I went in on a weekday with coworkers, and was really impressed. There was a short line, but it moved quickly (a big plus when you have exactly an hour for lunch!). I ordered the wintergreen salad (walnuts, apple, potatoes, and goat cheese) with chicken. It was ready in just a couple minutes and was absolutely delicious. I appreciated that one of the servers asked if I wanted the dressing light, regular, or heavy, too. The layout was great and there wasn't a problem finding a table for four. The tables were mostly filled, but it wasn't so loud that it was hard to hear everyone else at the table. I'll definitely go back. read more

Mod Market is a very decent place for a quick lunch or dinner. Things I love about it - the modern-y atmosphere, all their dressings (honey herb vinaigrette is my favorite), their wintergreen salad. What leaves a little more to be desired? I love the quality of their meat but if it's been sitting out under the heat lamp (read, if you're the unlucky one who gets the last portion of it), it will be dry and kind of cold. My favorite salad joint in Boulder. Mod Market offers a nice variety at a good price. Their food is always fresh and the flavors are wonderful. I wish that I had taken the time to review the menu a little before I ordered my lunch at Modmarket. I got flustered and ended up getting a pretty basic chicken caesar, which was definitely tasty, but I feel like there are more exciting options that I need to explore next time. I like the concept very much. Service is quick, there's a lot to choose from and you feel like you're eating healthfully. The environment is sleek and modern and I felt comfortable eating alone at my table while perusing a local newspaper. Modmarket has great, fresh food but is a little expensive. I recommend getting a half salad/soup/pizza/sandwich with another item so you can try everything. The salads are phenomenal, especially the Flatiron. The service here is also really good, but if you come between 12-1 PM on a weekday, be prepared to wait a little bit. read more

Between their varied menu and 10% check-in discount, Modmarket was the place to be today. I was with my parents and Modmarket seemed like safe bet with their salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. Love it. Pizza had great crust, chunky, but not too saucy. Cheese is buffalo mozzarella that is thickly sliced and spaced perfectly. Great friendly help. The kicker is a perfectly cooked chocolate chip cookie. I'll be back! My minions liked their meals too. read more

This place deserves an update. They have settled into their stride and the salads are yummy, refreshing and don't break the bank. I can't get enough of this place. I LOVE MOD MARKET. I want to eat here everyday. And I almost do, I've eaten here 4 times in the past week.
