I was sat down and a grumpy lady in her 30's or 40's was assigned to me. I was literally out the door 14 minutes later. No soaking, 20 second massage, no hot towel. She worked my cuticles so hard, two of my toes were bleeding. I headed to Hawaii the next day and my two toes hurt the entire time. I'll go back to my two go-to places who at least treat you nice. She drilled so deeply that she went through my nail and exposed my nail bed. It started bleeding, and now my nail is raw, painful, and stings whenever I walk or put pressure on it. To make matters worse, after injuring my nail, they still tried to charge me full price, including for additional services that I never received because I had to stop the appointment due to the injury. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. I left in pain, with an injured nail, and without any concern or fair resolution from the staff. He politely let the girl (a younger, thick woman with a pony tail) know he had to leave soon and to just start on my nails instead. She rolled her eyes and gave him a look. I told her it's okay we will leave since she has an attitude about doing our nails. We told them from the start our time frame. We didn't rush, or pressure them. Gel for pedi was $20 more which seemed a bit high. The mani felt more rushed and I got the service Saturday and Friday morning my gel was lifting. Normally, gel lifts from the cuticle, but this lifted and broke from the top. Not even a week! A few days later, they all started lifting and peeling. I've never had gel that lifted and peeled so easily. Usually I have to fight it to come off and thats after 3 weeks!
