Their kitchen was wildly backed up, and they weren't taking any more food orders. We left hungry, and Pizza My Heart was on the way to our car, so we knew exactly where to go! After spotting the surfboard, I was warmly greeted by Marcos and was delighted because I remembered him from the Yelp Elite Party! He was so fun and helpful at the Yelp Elite Event (we even gave him a big cheer and round of applause at the YEE because he was that good!), and I was also treated to his excellent customer service again! He told me about what slices they had with a big smile and friendly demeanor. He was quick to take our order and get us our slices boxed up. Slices here are a tad on the pricier side, but I don't think you'll feel that way when you see them chock full of toppings! They offer a slice for everyone, from vegan slices to dairy-free (which I needed to order when my nursing baby had a milk protein allergy) to a hearty slice for meat lovers, which is packed with all types of meat. We originally came in and the older gentleman said they couldn't seat us right away and to come back in 20 minutes. We didn't mind and took a walk around the block and was seated right away when we returned and he brought us menus. A waiter came and was friendly, making sure he got the order correct. It seemed like he may have been in training. We decided to each get a lemonade, share the meatball appetizer, I ordered the pasta trio and my husband ordered the chicken parmesan. The meal started out nice with the drinks immediately coming out and the appetizer shortly after. The drinks were good, however they were out of pint glasses and came in a collins glass instead. The waiter mentioned the lack of pints and the smaller glass calling it fancy but didn't reference if we'd get a discount or a refill due to the smaller portion as a result of the glass switch. The meatballs were tender and had a good flavor. The sauce was nice and the bread was serviceable. After we finished our appetizer, there was a lack in service for at least 15 minutes. They did not clear the dirty dishes, offer water, or provide any type of check in. While we waited, my spouse had noticed a pasta entree (and a salad) was put up and was placed on top of a pizza box. He didnt think much of it until we started to realize we had been waiting longer than felt appropriate and noticed it was 3 different colors, like you'd expect for a pasta trio like I had ordered. Eventually the pasta was removed and we gave the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't my food that had been sitting out for at at least 10 minutes and they were just slow. A few minutes later, a waitress brought our entrees and they finally cleared the appetizer plates. I took my first bite and my food was cold. Not it cooled down but was still kinda warm, any food that was exposed to air was physically cold to the touch. My husband tried to flag the waitress down that delivered the food and her and another worker were talking and looking at their register with no awareness of the rest of the room. Given the service thus far, I just got up with the food and walked it over. I explained it was cold to the point where I said she could touch it (I proceeded to touch a noodle) and it's obviously too cold to be served. She apologized and said she talk the the cook/chef. My spouse watched as she went with my cold plate to the open kitchen and it was clear that she explained I said it was cold but they were not planning on remaking it and just reheating it. A trio of pastas with 3 different sauces would not be reheated in a pan so the assumption is there would be a microwave involved. My spouse got up and approached the cook and waitress that reheating the pasta was unacceptable because if we wanted reheated pasta, we could get something from a freezer section grocery store. At this point the waitress seemed shocked that we'd say anything about them choosing to just reheat the food. After a few more remarks they finally said that they'd remake my food. But that'd mean I had to wait while my spouse ate or my husband would wait and then their food was cold when we eat together. At this point, the service was so bad and they made it fell like we were inconveniencing them by wanting at least warm food, my spouse said we just wanted to settle up and leave. Again it took them a minute to process that we didn't want to stay there anymore and eventually said we could just leave. We left and have no plans on returning. I would consider trying a different location since it's a chain, but I will not be back to the Walnut Creek location. I give Tomatina a very generous 2 stars for the service at the very start of the night and the flavor of the meatballs.

All I can say is WOW! Went in for lunch today, and it was great. Service was fast, and all the employees were smiling and having fun and gave my group a prompt "hello" when we came through the door. I ordered a "mad dog" with bacon, and asked for it to be well done, it came out crispy and perfectly brown, with great color on the cheese. Justine helped me at the register, and was more than accommodating to my questions about all the craft beers they have on tap! She is very knowledgeable and totally nice! The three guys on the line kept the line moving, and told the next person exactly what was going on the pizza, it was a perfect assembly line. The lobby was nicely kept, and even have a staff member come check on us at our table to see if we needed anything. All in all, I will come back! read more

I went to this location yesterday during lunch, and have been to this location a few times. This time being busier than most, but the experience was no different. The staff seemed kinda overwhelmed, but cheerful. They looked like they liked their jobs. I had overheard the cook staying he liked rushes like these because it made the time go by faster. Every time they were out of something they would call back for it, and the girl there was rushing back and forth making sure the other employees had what they needed. She was more than helpful at the register, asking if we needed anything else, and then recommending a no name cake. The pizza was cooked nicely and the no name cake was a delicious addition. I love Mod pizza and have been going to various locations throughout the bay for a couple of years. Since I work down the street, it is so convenient and fast for lunch! The staff is so welcoming and the team members know their stuff. I love going to Mods however this location leaves much to be desired. You are not greeted upon entering the establishment staff looks irritated when you ask simple things like can you break down my onions and mushrooms. The last straw for me was last week I ordered pizza on 2 different occasions and my card was charged twice error maybe things happen but I got to other locations and have no issues getting my pizza the way I want and staff that does it with a smile on there face. I come to this location all the time and the staff and management always do whatever possible for a good customer experience. I went in today, and it was A LOT busier than normal lunch rush but the staff handled it perfectly. Even though everyone was rushing around, they still gave the "Hello" to everyone that walked in the door, and the pizzas were coming out perfectly cooked. At first, I was a little concerned that using shredded pepperoni would mean they'd end up putting less pepperoni on the pizza than if they had used regular slices. But that didn't seem to be the case at all. In fact I think I might liked the shredded pepperoni even better. When baked, those thinner pieces of pepperoni became much more crispy around the edges than the regular slices, which was really nice. I also thought the pizza was incredibly cheesy, and I love cheesy pizza! The box was really cute too. It had a Spider Man design on it! Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. I placed my order for an "ASAP" pickup, and it was ready in about 10 minutes, which was impressively fast. The pizza was fresh, the quality was better than I expected, and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely consider getting pizza from Little Caesars again.

Walking in, the shop was small and cozy, but it quickly felt crowded. There were several teenagers squeezing past customers, getting into people's personal space, grabbing drinks without paying, and heading back outside. We figured this must be a common occurrence since no one seemed concerned. We ordered two drinks and a small pizza for a little over $31. The food came out hot and fresh, although the toppings slid right off the pizza because it was so hot. Clearly we didn't wait. Unfortunately, just before finishing our meal, we found a hair on the last slice. With our luck, it had to be the last piece. I brought it to the gentleman in the back and tried to keep the mood light. I jokingly said, "Yeah, looks like someone in the back might be losing their hair." Instead of apologizing, he slowly walked away and simply said, "I'll get you next time." There was no apology, no effort to get our name or number, and no attempt to make the situation right. Why would we trust there to be a "next time" when this was the perfect opportunity to show good customer service? A sincere apology should have been the bare minimum. Since none was offered, I asked if they could comp the pizza, which is a common way restaurants handle situations like this. Looking back, I wonder if my joke was taken personally because the two men working appeared to be balding. Oopsy. If so, that wasn't my intention, I was simply trying to lighten an awkward situation. He said he couldn't refund the pizza but offered to make us a new one. We waited while they remade it, and just before we left, we finally received a simple apology. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed, and because of how it was addressed, we won't be returning. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, but customer service matters just as much as the food. Please do better.

The bbq is absolutely divine and so flavorful. The chicken and ribs are delicious and tender and basically fall off the bone.

Until now...., A month ago I had to chase the delivery person down to get my pizza. Today 8/6/26 the pizza driver showed up with a "slice" of pizza instead of the 18" pie I ordered. Common sense people. Obviously no quality assurance as drivers are picking up. This shift to what appears to be a new driver delivery service or a degraded version of the old has caused iSlice to lose a customer of many years. It had its time and now it's gone downhill.

For dessert, we shared the tiramisu cake that is not made in-house but was decadent. The service was good and the place is quite large. Typically you see more than one person working the drive-thru line, but today it was all her with no help. Get it together management, get this girl some help. Even with being overwhelmed and hot from standing in this heat, she still provided excellent customer service. Mahalo Tyra for putting up with this madness, you deserve a raise.

I pointed it out very politely, but she looked annoyed when I mentioned it. She then went over to another employee and covered up what they were doing with my drink. I don't know if they just added more ice or did something else to it, but honestly, this was way worse than giving me a fake $5. When I proceeded to ask for more sauce, she responded rudely and nastily, "How many?" She looked extremely annoyed that I even asked. She gets paid too much to be acting like this.

It's a better pizza than something frozen but the crust was dry and the toppings were just ok. The size was great and the toppings were plentiful but flavor wise, this didn't hit.
