I've been to this location a few times. The staff are always friendly, attentive & thorough. I really enjoy the space and atmosphere. Today was my first time coming to mod pizza in hazel dell. The service was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back! Brooklyn, Alanna, and Kourtney Gave great service and were super friendly. We joked around a lot about some toppings I thought were weird. Like who puts corn on pizza!? All around we had a good laugh while our pizza was being made. Good food. Been there 3 times and every time, even if it's only 1/2 full it's hard to find clean tables. They don't seem to teach employees how to do a quality cleaning job on the tables/chairs/floors. Clean families will stop coming if they don't fix it. read more

Came in for pizza after work, waited in line created my pizza and sat down. A couple minutes later they tell me they dropped my pizza. So they remade it. 5 stars because of the way it was handled. The manager made sure my pizza was exactly the way I wanted it, she made sure it was cooked fast, and she was very friendly. She is a prime example of how a manager is supposed to act. read more

I LOVE MOD but this is by far the worst location I've ever been to across wa state (including yakima, Olympia, and multiple Seattle area locations). Workers are always friendly (no complaints in that respect) but they are SO SO SO SO SLOW in comparison to other MODS. It doesn't matter what time of day you go they are always so painstakingly slow. Even when you order ahead online. We love MOD and keep going back for the product, but I'm just about to start going to the mill plain or 192nd location. read more

Had a very horrible experience with unshaved guy with glasses and bandana. Just plain rude, he should not be in customer service. He made me feel like I was taking off his paycheck every time I asked for extra. We ordered mod size pizza and salad. Plain pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. Standard cheese used be be, at least a week ago, whole scoop. He grabbed whole scoop, then started to shake cheese off, then removed more with hand. We ended up with about third. When I asked him for extra, he repeat his procedure. So we ended with less amount of cheese what used to be one full scoop a week ago. I should've had requested a discount, since we did not order any other toppings. My salad did not get any better, they used to just throw ingredients in the mixing bowl, now they put everything in to plastic "to go" bowl and then place it into mixing bowl. For god sake I get too many ingredients. Girl who started my salad packed the bowl very tight with lettuce, then our famous unshaved guy with glasses and bandana took over. He placed to go bowl into the huge mixing bowl and started adding toppings to already super packed with lettuce bowl, so I literally got about teaspoonful of each topping. Final touch was when I asked him for regular bowl not to go one, he transfer salad into right bowl and throw it on the counter. Mod pizza always treated me with respect and friendliness. I absolutely unsatisfied with my current visit. Just rude and petty. :( read more

Really like the pizza but the amount of call in orders they take is really making me not want to go anymore. You have no idea how long your wait might be anymore because of it. You look at the line and get an idea of how long you might have to wait. What you don't know is it's really about 15 more people long. That's what happen to us last night. Lady at the till was horribly rude. I finally asked for a manger and was surprised when she told me she was the manager. Luckily her boss was in the back. He smoothed things over and apologized. First time visitor today. Customer service was lacking...the girl who assembled our pizza was snotty and basically rushed us to figure out what we would want on our pizza. Maybe you could explain the order in which you put ingredients on. Sauce, then cheese, then meat, then veggies etc. Also, crust was so thin it was ultra crisp and burnt. Going to give the East Vancouver location a shot to see if they treat people with more warmth. read more

I was there tonight for dinner, there was a line all the way back to the soda machines and they were patient with every person in line, they worked fast, you could see their heads gleaming from the sweat but they busted some ass and handled it! Pleasantly surprised to get such a tasty pizza for a reasonable price. They fix it to order with only the ingredients you choose. Flying Pie used to be my go to pizza spot for lunch but after trying Mod three times I think they are now my favorite. So, today I used the fancy ordering system on the interwebs to order four pizzas. Highly recommend- very easy to use. Anyway, at the appointed time, my 17 year old son drove down, picked up the pizzas and brought them home. As we opened the boxes, the pies for my sons and my wife were just as ordered, but mine was, at first glance, was missing a few ingredients. No big deal- it happens. As I started in, I noticed the familiar stretch and texture of cheese. I am lactose intolerant to the extreme, so I tried picking around, but it was quickly becoming a mess. It was not going to work, so I drove my pizza back to have it replaced. As I walked in, I was greeted by I assume the manager who said, "Oh, no. What happened?" I told him about the missing toppings (no big deal) but more importantly the inclusion of cheese that I had requested to be withheld. He quickly took me to the counter, had another made for me, offered me a soda and a coupon for a free pizza. I wasn't expecting anything other than replacement of my original order, so to the above and beyond customer service, I say thank you. read more

Came in, ordered a Gluten Free. The way it works is, you can build the pizza the way you want it, right . . .trouble is, when you want something extra, like more of some topping, they give it to you oh so very very reluctantly and then still not like you want it. So, I customized the pie the way I wanted it. I'm waiting and waiting, then they tell me that my pizza was lost in an oven mishap, and that they will make me another one - trouble is, the other one they made was absolutely nothing like the one I wanted. In addition, it was pure crap. I wouldn't g back to any MOD pizza again even if it meant that I never got to eat pizza again ever. Yes, it is (was) that bad. Pure crap. Bad service. etc. Here's the deal - if you need to charge me extra in order to justify giving me what I want, ok, do that, but don't tell me I can have what I want, and then give me something that is not what I wanted!
