WOW! Nothing like a wood fired pizza! Usually you have to sit in a restaurant to get this quality of pie. This little cart packs a punch with amazing toppings and sauces! Their ranch and the special hot sauce they make with pineapples is the perfect combination. The owner is super sweet and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Also, love the theme!! read more

This is really good pizza! The crust is the perfect amount of bite and tenderness. The sauce pairs well with their inspired toppings. And that kale salad - I would eat it every day if I could! The staff are nice and welcoming too. They seem to enjoy making and serving their pizza. read more

Ordered Paladin Pie on DoorDash last night. Worst experience food ever. Got a basic pepperoni pizza and the arugula salad. Pizza crust was charred and black. Inside pizza dough bordered on being doughy. Pizza was so salty it wasn't edible. Not sure if the salt flavor was from the pizza sauce or pepperoni, but it was too much. Nothing worse than biting into a fresh made salad and getting hair in your mouth, especially when it's not yours. We called the food truck and a little empathy towards a ruined dinner would have gone a long way, but all the worker recommended was calling DoorDash to report, and they would let the owner know. Thank goodness DoorDash had a better customer service approach. As much as mistakes happen....this place is a point of no return for me. ‍ read more

Just stopped by for a quick slice and loved it! Really great value for the quality - $4 for a slice of Druid (Garlic mozzarella, mushroom, basil, lemon with Parmesan cream sauce) and if you just want cheese, slices were only $3. Great option for a quick tasty bite and the fireplace outside make for a cozy atmosphere and service was fast and friendly. read more

Paladin Pie - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Takes the crown as my favorite pizza in Portland, which I thought could never happen to my beloved Apizza Scholls. Excellent, chewy crust, great toppings with just enough of a rotating menu to keep things novel, and a great salad game. I highly recommend getting the enhanced crust (chili oil and parm)! read more

I looked up Gluten Free Pizza three times on Door Dash and Yelp and all three time this place came up so I ordered. I got my pizza delivered and as I take 3 bites, I'm like this really doesn't NOT taste like Gluten free pizza. So I called. They confirmed NOT GKUTEN FREE! They had sourdough crust but it still has gluten. Luckily, I won't suffer huge life threatening effects from ingesting gluten BUT someone else might. This can't happen. I will Be contacting door Dash and Yelp To correctly classify this location. The pizza, what I ate of it was absolutely delicious!!' Just need to be careful! read more

That they are doing this level of pie out of a tiny cart is unreal. Top 3 for sure, and not talking just Portland. . The crust is nice and light and balanced. Not too much char. Not too much handle. These guys know what they're doing. read more

Paladin is my favorite pizza in all of Portland. I savor every bite, every chew of the bite. When there's only crust left, it's not an issue, because the crust is so good and full of beautiful flavor. When I bite into the Druid, a tingle crawls up my jaw. Every year for my birthday, I buy sometimes as many as ten pizzas for all my friends, and they are always so happy and impressed by how good it is. read more

This is a cute place in a great neighborhood food court. It was cold and raining (What?! It never rains here! :) There is a rainproof covering with a table that includes a warming fire, so we were very comfortable.) We were testing slices on Pi Day, and this was one of our group's stops. Very pleasant and helpful young man helped us here. We ordered a slice of cheese, one of pepperoni and a Druid. The guy was kind enough to cut the slices in thirds so all 3 of us could sample them all. I liked the Druid a lot - great mushrooms on this! The pepperoni slice was generously dotted with pepperoni. I found a sweetness about all 3 slices that I didn't care for. Not sure, but thinking it was the cheese that contributed to this. The ratio of sauce and cheese was consistent on each slice and was fairly ideal. Because we made the request to cut each slice into smaller portions, it would be unfair for me to report on the flop of the slices. All in all, my experience was just okay- not bad, not great. read more

Saw the reviews, saw the pics, ordered and put light bake on the notes. I got a burnt horrible pie. The underside was worse. My spouse went to politely take it back. The customer service received was not good at all. They acknowledged the light bake note, rambled on with excuses how they can't control the heat because it's gas. Can't even understand that response. Did not offer a remake or refund. Everyone has their preference, we do not eat burnt carcinogenic pizza nor pieces of wood charcoal wtf. Ended up leaving it in front of their tables as a donation. We were told to go to their other location where the pie doesn't come out burnt with pieces of wood charcoal inbedded on the bottom. Not even cleaning the oven. Do not recommend. read more

By far the best pizza in portland. If you're dumb enough to get a wood fired pizza and not appreciate a little char, that's gonna be on you. The crust is somehow crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the outside. I don't know how these boys do it. read more

Consistently delicious, and great people to boot - my favorite pizza in the neighborhood!

This is my all time favorite food cart of any genre and definitely the best pizza I have ever had, every single time I go. The amazing pizza chefs are always extra kind and the things they can make on sourdough live in my dreams. My entire plan for my 30th birthday was to buy a bunch of paladin pie (I live inconveniently far away) and it was a magnificent birthday quest. My only complaint is the house-made ranch isn't sold by the bottle, because it's very hard to go back to store bought after tasting perfection. If you need a reminder of what's good about being a human, go buy yourself some Paladin Pie. read more

Delicious wood fire pizza in Portland! This place did NOT disappoint! This was our first stop to grab something quick and nearby and we're glad we did. Pizza was superb, delicious, hot, and quite cheap! I ordered 2 chaotic slices, I barely tasted the jalapeños but it did add a little kick, not overpowering at all! The people working in the cart were super friendly as well. After those two slices I should of ordered a whole pizza because I was craving more. FYI - parking can be challenging during peak hours, but we parked down the street and had to walk a little to get here. read more

This is our go-to for this type of pizza (NY Style? "Portland" Style? idk). Our favorite order is the Druid, add sausage. My mom, who is usually not a pizza fan, always requests this when she's in town. In a town full of great pizza, Paladin Pie really shines. read more

Great food truck in a really nice truck pod that offers covered seating and a fire place! Service was professional, and the pizza was good. Paladin Pie - two slices of pizza on a plate - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

In my humble opinion, this is the best pizza in Portland. Their crust is what really puts it over the top.

My favorite pizza of all times. The Druid is perfection. I feel so lucky to live nearby.

Going from backyard pizza making during the pandemic to wood fired pizza cart takes the courage of a Paladin. This cart sure delivers some tasty pizza pie. There's some wild combinations of ingredients on pizzas here but I opt for a cheese slice. It's served to me warmed. The sauce is excellent, the crust has the perfect flop although I would appreciate a bit more crispier. The cheese though. The cheese reminds me of the cheese at my high school cafeteria. This isn't a dig. It's a compliment. I'm happy to be reminded of high school lunch. This pizza is way better than anything a lunch lady at my school ever made. The only thing preventing 5 stars is my love for char on wood fired pizza. This slice has zero char. A Paladin has the scars of battle. I expect the same from the pizza. I'll be back to try an entire pie. There's often a difference ordering slices vs. entire pie and I'm eager to try. Until then Paladin leaves me excited about pizza again. read more

Paladin Pie has a whole wood fired pizza oven attached to their cart. It's quite an impressive setup and worth checking out, particularly because it makes delicious pizzas. Thin crust, by the slice or whole, fairly cheap for either, plus a couple of vegetarian options. Creative toppings. Sides and hot sauce. Friendly staff, quick production time, outdoor pod seating. What more do you need? I'd love if they leaned into the "paladin" theme even more! This is a great pizza option on Alberta St. read more

Wow I can't believe I've never stopped by but I rarely go to this food cart pod at one of the ends of Alberta. We wanted to try a new pizza shop in the area and they were super quick to answer and let us order ahead for pick up. Wood fired had me sold! Looking at the menu we got a classic pepperoni, cheesy bread, and their red dragon to share with our group and trust me it was more than enough for 4 people. Pizza crust had a nice char on and chew. Not skimpy on the toppings and the crust held up well with the toppings. I love a crispy thin crust! The meats used were flavorful and added the nice salty kick needed. I would probably pass on the cheesy bread next time and just try the cheese pizza. Love that they give the option for slices vs. whole pies as well so if you want you can definitely try a couple options. Creative menu with salads as well so I can't wait to come back to try other flavors and enjoy in their shared space. Staff here was super nice and well and really chatted it up with others ordering which is always a nice thing to see. Pizzas stayed fresh and warm on the 20 minute ride home so can't wait to try it fresh out the oven next tie. read more

I had a slice of Druid. I also had ranch dipping sauce that was deliciously heavy on the herb (I forget what green herb was in it) and was just perfect with the pie, especially the edge crust. The bottom crust had a thin crunchy layer and was super soft above that. delicious. read more

We were staying at a rental a couple blocks away and were wanting pizza and Paladin looked like a good option. We were wrong, they were a FANTASTIC option. Since we were a larger group ordering several pizzas we called ahead which they were very appreciative for the heads up. Our order was ready on time. We got a couple salads, cheese, pepperoni, the Druid, and the Drow. All were delicious but the Drow was my favorite. The crust was chewy and flavorful. Delicious! read more

Da Bomb...tried the The Noble and The Druid...both were amazing. Flavors profiles definitely hit the mark

Solid pie place. The pepperoni is my fav in town. You can get slices or whole pies. Wood fired in their little space. It's awesome. You can't go wrong with any of the pizza options. Great crust. I usually ask for like 1 min longer than they normally cook them as I like it a little crunchy. I wish they had caesar salad or a few more side options but this place still rocks. read more

As a NYer I'm very picky about my pizza, and in my opinion Paladin has the best pizza in NE Portland. The crust is thin and soft, but just the right balance between crunchy and soggy. There's just enough edge to hold on to, but not so much that it feels like a breadstick. The sauce is well-spiced and tomatoey, and there's plenty of it without it feeling juicy and drippy. The balance of cheese with the other toppings is perfect. I even love the D&D theme. My only critique is that it's just a cart and sometimes there aren't enough dry seats for everyone. If they made a 1980s-pizza-hut-style brick&mortar location with booths and video games and pinball and a juke box I'd eat there every week. read more

Good god, give me more! The people running the cart were friendly and sweet (think the owner was in there). I got a cheese pizza with pineapple and jalapeño added and it was delicious! Obviously pizza preferences are personal but I would recommend you give this place a try at least once. I also got the smashed cucumber salad and I inhaled the entire box. YUM! I had no idea cucumbers and almonds made such a wonderful couple. I do wish my pizza had been cooked only slightly longer but like I said - personal pref.
