I've only had delivery from Pizza Kat, so I can't say anything about the location, but the food is great. Had pizza from here twice during a long stay in Portland, and enjoyed it both times. The first time, we had a pepperoni pizza, a side of meatballs, and grape sorbetto. We liked the meatballs so much that, the second time, we had the Alley Kat pizza and, again, the grape sorbetto. The pizzas were both excellent--good crust with a great chew, good proportions for the toppings, and a cheese that tasted like cheese. (reductive? Maybe, but so much mozzarella is bland and rubbery that it seems worth mentioning.) The grape sorbetto was an excellent way to finish the meal both times: sweet, but not too sweet, and very bright to cleanse the palate. read more

I hate to write this review because I was genuinely excited to try this place, but with so many great pizza options nearby, this one is an easy skip for me. Unfortunately, this was both our first and last visit. I don't think I've ever disliked a pizza before, but this may be the first one I would genuinely call bad. I enjoy wood-fired pizza and don't mind a little char, but somehow this pizza tasted noticeably bitter despite having very little visible charring. Whether it was the lack of sauce, the sauce itself being quite bland, or simply an imbalance of flavors, the end result just wasn't pleasant. The biggest issue is the value. A $25 cheese pizza doesn't need to be life-changing, but it should at least taste better than Costco's. In this case, unfortunately, it didn't. If your goal is to enjoy great pizza, I'd recommend one of the many other pizza spots in the area instead. read more

We ordered delivery so I cannot speak to the cleanliness of the restaurant or friendliness of the staff. The food was ready and delivered on time. We ordered the 12" Vegan Luxe, 12" pepperoni, pineapple and Canadian bacon, Classic Salad and Roasted Cauliflower. The salad was fresh and crisp, nice amount of cheese, great croutons and dressing. The cauliflower was cooked well with good flavors. Both pizzas had ample toppings that tasted fresh. The crust had a good chew to it. Definitely impressed and will return. read more

Simply delicious pizza. 5 bucks a slice for some of the best crispy pizza in the neighborhood. If you're someone like me who prefers to dine in for the perfectly charred fresh pizza slice then there's no better spot. Service is kind, music is chill and overall an awesome spot for a drink and a slice. read more

Pizza Kat - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

No matter where you roam, near or far from home, one question must always be answered: where can I get good pizza around here? If you're in or planning to be in Portland, Oregon, I respectfully and enthusiastically recommend you include Pizza Kat in your considered alternatives. A thin, flexible, and tasty-all-by-itself crust. Tomato sauce that adroitly walks the lines between sweet and acidic, and between supporting the other elements well, fading into obscurity, and overwhelming those other elements. The right amounts of the right cheeses. And fresh, tasty toppings. (Sweet Italian sausage not dominated by garlic and mushrooms worth eating on their own, for two delicious examples.) Even better, prices are reasonable, and delivery is available. We had some delivered to our hotel, and it arrived almost as hot and tasty as we would have expected were we at a table near the ovens. There are other pizzas worth eating -- including the thicker-crust "deep cut" slices available before and after select shows at Revolution Hall. But when you want the thin-crust version done right, Pizza Kat will leave your taste buds and tummy purring, without clawing the life out of your wallet. read more

Thought I would give Pizza Kat a try and I'm happy to say the experience was amazing, the vibe at pizza kat was very welcoming the staff was great with explaining what makes their pizza different than other places and that they use a sourdough style thin crust with local ingredients, after ordering the pizza and then taking the first bite I was hooked ! I'll be coming back here for my pizza going forward thanks for a great experience ! read more

Hey Pizza Cat! You iz all that. Tighten up those mozzarella balls or ricotta dollops, it's kind of a mystery there.what that becomes, but the crust is the bomb. You are serving art here my friends. Cooked with so many veggies. Under-scorched to perfection. Do you feel my pizza SNOB coming out from when I through dough in the late 80s? You exceed expectation. Great job. read more

Portland is known for their food. Portland is known for its pizza. Why pizza kat is not more popular is beyond me. Part of me is selfish and enjoys that I can enjoy it and not have to wait 3 hours for it. But also, pizza kat deserves the hype. It's cute inside, has great seating, a parking lot. It's on food delivery apps. It's great served fresh, it's great served delivered. It's great a day old. It's great when you're happy. It's great after a hospital stay (I in fact ordered pizza kat to the hospital) The staff are also amazing, always so kind. I order their pepperoni the most but I've done their specials and have been just as pleased. Try it out, it's worth it! read more

Excellent pizza! We ordered a full assortment of different pies and all were excellent. The guys loved the pizza! We had it delivered by DoorDash and it came hot and on time. There's only one way to put it: this is the BEST pizza in Portland. Full stop. And as an Italian, I'm very picky when it comes to pizza! I wish they offered a few more standard toppings for classic Italian-style pizzas. I'd love to see a capricciosa, for example. That said, while some of their topping combinations aren't my favorite, the quality of the dough is absolutely superb. They also make their own gluten-free dough, which is a huge plus! My daughter is GF, and she loves their pizza. It's an ocean apart from the usual frozen cauliflower crusts you find elsewhere. The taste and texture are so close to traditional wheat dough. Parking can be a bit challenging, but they do have a couple of reserved spots on the side of the building. Service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Absolutely recommended! read more

Ordered DoorDash for this margarita pizza, and omg.. THAT RED SAUCE IS TO DIE FOR (even when it's not piping hot). The crust was nice and chewy too! Def want to try more varieties of their pizza next time! read more

Pizza Kat - 18" Margherita - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

There are a lot of good places to get pizza in Portland, and now I know this is one of them. Tried the veggie and built or own pizza...both were good and I loved the chew of the crust. I picked up the pizza and ate at home. I've driven by Pizza Kat many times and while they are on busy Burnside, they have a parking lot adjacent to the building (right side) that made pick up a breeze. It's now on the list. And since I'm a dumb dad, I'll say, Pizza Kat was purrfect and left me feline fine! read more

Got to try a couple slices of their gluten free pies and as a full-gluten person I quite liked them! The crust was chewy but it's to be expected. I still really enjoyed their toppings which were abundant and flavorful. Excited to try their full-gluten crust next time! read more

Pizza Kat is my new favorite pizza joint. My review is based on two visits. My very first time was on Sunday, 5/4 and the second was on Friday, 5/9. Twice in one week. Yeah. It's that good! These NY-style thin crust pizzas come in two sizes (12" and 18"), and you can also get pizza by the slice! See my "Helpful Tips" below for more info on this. For my first visit, my wife and I ate there. We live a couple miles away and we've driven past it numerous times, always telling each other, "We still have to try that place." I'm so glad we finally did because their pizza is top notch. It's certainly the best pizza I've had here since relocating to PDX (from Los Angeles) two years ago. The pizzeria is not too big but there is a lot of seating! The atmosphere is cozy and alive and the place was clean and well kept. For our second visit, my wife and I decided to do an online/pick-up order. One thing I noticed on the second visit is that they had so many pick-up orders (a testament to how good this place is). The customer service was great both times. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. We felt so welcomed both times. FOOD RECS: * Get Wild (Me, both visits): This is a white pizza with king trumpet mushrooms! I love mushrooms so this was a no-brainer for me. And I absolutely love it! My mouth is watering just typing this. I mentioned it above, it's NY-style thin crust. The dough is so good; crispy base, but a chewy/fluffy edge. * Pepperoni (Wife, both visits): Can't go wrong with this! She loves it. * Classic Salad: This is essentially a Caesar Salad. We got this on our second visit and the to-go portion was a great size. * Cool Herb Sauce: This is essentially their ranch dressing. HELPFUL TIPS: * If you're familiar with my reviews, I always note if a place sells Coca-Cola products, and I'm so happy to report that Pizza Kat serves Coca-Cola products! Huge win! * In addition to offering full pies, you can get pizza by the slice! However, you can't order a pizza by the slice if you're placing an online order (it's only available if you're ordering in person/eating there). * Parking is available but it's very tight and is only limited to two (maybe 3?) spots (it's a shared parking lot). The two times I went, we were lucky to snag a spot with no issue. I just thought I'd mention it here in case you, too, are driving. * They sell merch! Hats, shirts and stickers! I got two stickers of their logo. Really cool! As I mentioned earlier in my review, Pizza Kat has become my new favorite pizza joint. I'll be coming back again and again! Take my money! Thanks, Pizza Kat! read more

I've only ever gotten their pepperoni because it's so amazing. Huge slices and dripping with grease in the best way possible. This place has a great ambience. Traditional brick on the outside and clean, modern, and fresh on the inside. Has good outdoor seating options in the warmer months. I've always had friendly and excellent service every time I've gone. read more

Best pizza I've had in this area of Portland so far! I'd only say it needs a bit more cheese, so if you're ordering a whole pie ask for extra. Other than that, the restaurant was clean inside and the service was great! Their ranch was not a traditional buttermilk or garlic ranch, I think the guy called it "cool" something. and I personally didn't enjoy it. But the pizza was good enough to not really need any ranch! read more

Total: $67.xx before gratuity I loved every bite of the pizzas. I could tell they use very fresh ingredients. Shop is quaint and has a British Abstract Mod vibe. my favorite pizza, sauce is perfect balance of sweet and tangy. love getting slices. good crust too

Disappointing + overpriced. I got a GF 12" pepperoni for $21 (on Uber Eats) and it had barely any cheese. The pepperoni had good flavor + was crispy, but the lack of cheese (and sauce) made it super dry. The GF crust was decent but very chewy - could have def cooked a little longer. read more

The best pizza in Portland. If NY style pizza is your favorite then don't think twice about going to PK. Their dough is fermented perfectly. It's light, airing, and they put a perfect char on it. PK serves slices which is great because you can get a slice of your go to standard slices while also trying some of their seasonal joints. The inside reminds me of an old NYC pizza shop and the staff is very friendly. Go now and be happy you made the decision forever. read more

We have been visiting Ringside Steakhouse across the street since before Pizza Kat opened. We always said, "We HAVE to go there, it looks great". We finally made it while visiting Portland recently, and we are glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and asked how we could be helped. There was some upbeat music playing in the background, making for a fun atmosphere. We opted to sit outside, and so happy with did this also. What a great space behind the restuarant to relax and have some great food. Our pepperoni pie was brought out hot and ready to eat in a timely manner. If you don't like grease on your pizza, just ask for less when you order, but it tasted great! We enjoyed the water fountain and vibe in the outside space, and would highly recommend sitting in that space. We will be back again the next time we are in Portland. read more

I was... really not expecting a lot from Pizza Kat! But was genuinely blown away. Decore inside is like a lowkey , indie coffee shop. The staff are super friendly. Kind of quirky and chill. The pizza... the star of the show.. some of the best I've had. Crispy crust, a generous amount of pepperoni, and the sauce was perfect. Honestly, a must stop. Even the cocktail, a pre bottled "secret mix" as phenomenal. If you want pizza, come here. read more

LOVED Pizza Kat! I wanted a slice right after work, and I found them and got a slice of pepperoni -- it was awesome!

Simple, fresh quality ingredients done well. Forgot to snap a pic of the pizza, but had the marinara (was with a picky eater). Thin crust, slightly chewy dough, and a hint of sweetness in the sauce - perfection. Also enjoyed the salad :) read more
