Cool little hangout spot! They have a variety of beers and a couple of ciders. Wish they had more cider options though. The pizza was really good and I absolutely love the fact that your able to pick quarter pies, which gives you the option to pick one of each of their pizzas. The service is great. Fast/ short and simple. Definitely will be back.

Wouldn't call the 'pizza' here pizza. I visited this restaurant for a casual and cheap Sunday dinner. The interior is small, but cozy. The server was also nice. My friend and I ended up ordering and sharing the Veggie and The #4 1/4 square pizzas. The presentation of the pizzas wasn't the best, they looked like a bunch of ingredients dumped onto slices of bread. Both of the pizzas were decent tasting and the texture was crispy. On the #4, I wasn't the biggest fan of the sausage quality, but did like the dollop of ricotta. Both of the pizzas were very rich, but I liked the side of ranch which helped cut the richness and was creamy and refreshing. Overall, I wouldn't call these pizzas. I know they're based on the square pizzas of Detroit, but these seemed more like loaded focaccias. I wish these were more cheesy, so they would actually be pizzas. I wouldn't necessarily come back here again, but if someone gave me these pizzas, I would probably eat them.

A short weekend in Portland but we tried to check out a few pizza places and this was pizza place number two. A tiny spot with some seating and you order at the counter. We had just previously ate a few slices so we opted to split a slice of pepperoni. I believe the dough was par baked or it was a reheat slice based on the burning of some of the pepperoni but the slice still tasted good. All orders come with their signature ranch. I grew up in New York and we don't put ranch on pizza but I tried it.. the sauce was thick and creamy and had a good garlic punch. Side note, they are completely cashless; card only.

The Veggie pizza is unique and very filling, with a nice touch of spice with the Calabrian Chillies. All the toppings went really well together which was a pleasant surprise considering that I normally don't go for Mushrooms or Kalamata olives. Definitely worth trying! Also each order comes with their side ranch, which was on point as well.

Inside the Loro Cafe! Another Ranch expansion into the Montavilla neighborhood. Super friendly customer service and the pizza tastes the same across all locations!

We ordered the pepperoni pizza and added sausage, and the Caesar salad. The salad was crisp and the pizza was hot. We ate it in the shop so the freshest it could be. I'm not from Portland but if I ever came back I would make a stop here. The service was quick and friendly. The shop is a little small but didn't get over crowded at all. Perfect for a date night or just if you're craving some pizza!

Square / Detroit style pizzas always catch my attention, so of course my curiosity led me to Ranch pizza. Ordered ahead for pickup before the wind came through, and it was ready on time. Even with a bit of a drive, the slices were still hot. Really appreciated that they boxed the order, even with only 3 slices. For those not hungry enough to commit to the full sheet of squares, the quarter slices are the way to go and a great way to have a pizza tasting. Both the cheese and #4 were well cooked (crispy on the edge but still had a soft middle). I wish the #4 had a bit more sauce to balance the sausage and ricotta, but it was still a party for my taste buds. If I order again the next time I'm in town, I may need to add my own Mike's Hot Honey to the slices. Will buy again!

Pepperoni pizza with red onions and extra crispy cooked! Damn delicious
    Robert G.

So, my first evening in Portland I had ranch PDX pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and ranch dressing. They were very generous and giving me extra dressing even though I paid for three they gave me three extra ones for free. The crust was delicious and the pepperoni was cooked to my liking, crispy. The ambience was understandably due to the small size of the place, but it was still nice to visit and the customer service was friendly. I would definitely come back again and try their pizza. Normally, I love thin crust, but I definitely could throw in this Detroit style pizza much more often due to the passion that they display with their damn pizza!

I neither like square pizza nor ranch, but this place converted me to both! Pizza here is really good and you'll end up having an extra slice even if you weren't planning on it. If I hadn't ate at tilamook right before I would've had a whole pie instead of just 2 slices

Wednesday 9/20/23 While doing pizza searches (via Yelp) for my upcoming Portland trip, I found ranch pdx which is known to serve good Detroit style pizza and I was ready for it. I got a pepperoni whole pie ($28.50) for takeout. The pizza was very underwhelming and overpriced ($28.50 for normal size pizza square slices is crazy). Had family and friends that tried it and they were underwhelmed as well: stating how greasy the pizza was. The ranch wasn't anything special and was average at best. I really wanted to like the pizza but couldn't. The high expectations I had completely fell flat. I personally wouldn't get it again and would rate it as the worst pizza I had in Portland during my visit.

    Hannah B.

Awesome! Did a pick up order, the pizza was ready and hot when I got there. We did a 1/2 and 1/2 with some additions. The crust is thick and fluffy with some crunch on the outside layer. The toppings had some awesome flavor. I and a ranch dressing fiend and let me just tell you! I love their ranch! Saw they had lots of locations, will be going back for more.....it's a long drive from Salem, but I think it's worth it.

Grease from the pizza and the the bread ratio to topping is too much for my liking.
    Lauren C.

Its good pizza, but there a some important aspects about it that don't thrill me. I've tried 3 different whole pizzas now. The bread to cheese and topping ratio is too much bread for my liking. The grease is copious. See pictures I've attached to the review for bread/toppings scale and the grease factor. The 2 paper towels shown, the 1 on the right had 1 piece on top of it, the 1 on the left I lightly dabbed 2 small pieces with.

This would have to one of our favorite pizzas. Ordered online for pickup, since they don't take phone orders. Or at least no one answers the phone. Their pizza dough has a hint of garlic. Which is so good. Loads of pepperoni, Such perfection. In every bite. Try them, you won't be disappointed.
