The menu leans Italian with pizzas, pastas, salads, and a meatball sandwich that immediately caught my eye, especially after seeing the table next to us order it. It looked very good. The Caesar salad came out first. The dressing was delicious, the croutons were solid, but my one critique is the presentation. It was served as whole romaine leaves, so you have to cut it yourself if you want a normal bite. Not a dealbreaker, just not my favorite style. Flavor-wise though, it was a good Caesar. Then the pizza arrived and--visually--wow. Gorgeous crust, great color, and toppings that looked perfectly balanced. But when we tried to lift a slice, reality hit. The center crust was rolled super thin and got weighed down by the toppings, making it too soft to hold up. You basically have to slide it onto your plate and eat it with a fork until you get closer to the crust. Once you hit that halfway point, though, it's fantastic. The crust edge was perfect. Flavor-wise, the pizza really delivered. The sausage was rich and savory, the Mama Lil's peppers added a great tangy heat, and there were dollops of what tasted like ricotta that tied everything together beautifully. We also added mushrooms and hot honey. You wouldn't know there was a structural issue just by looking at it. That said, I don't think I'd order the pizza again without trying something else first. I'm very curious about the meatball sandwich or a pasta dish to see how those stack up.
