Growing up my family would always head to Sunshine Pizza. As I got older and moved away Sunshine become just fond memories. I decided recently I had to go find the only Sunshine Pizza I think on the west coast. So glad I did! It was like a time warp for me and my son got to experience their pizza for the first time. Corn meal crispy crust. Yum! The service was great, fast and kind. They even had their famous Salad Bar. Very fresh! We have now gone to this place 2 times and both times have had a bad experience with the woman working the front counter. She is absolutely rude & very dismissive. Tonight we went in which was close to their closing time unbeknownst to us and we were made to feel like we were a bother. My brother ordered coffee which was delivered lukewarm so he asked for a hot cup in which he was met with a rude response of having to make another pot. Not only that we could hear her complaining from our table about us. I'm not sure why you would want her at the front counter since she seems to be miserable & hates her job. I actually feel sorry for those that work with her. There were two young men who were very helpful who could see we were upset and they were trying to make up for her rudeness. This is always my go to when driving through the area. Came out for some festive Halloween town tourist time and got a small pizza to go. Wish I would have ordered a large! Thin crust is my favorite with their special sauce made just for that. vegan review: we ordered our pizza with no cheese as that is currently the only way to make it vegan. i have had "red" (no cheese pizza) before and have enjoyed it sometimes but i think it's not compatible with the sunshine crust to cook it this way or something, didn't like the taste. i hope sunshine will invest some resources toward developing a tasty vegan option! the staff was friendly, the pizza buffet is what you expect. my meat eating family enjoyed their pizza. read more

Four of us stopped by for pizza. We ordered the Hawaiian which is a little different than other pizza menus. This one adds pepperoni to the pineapple and bacon. It was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect. The crust was very good. Server was great and even the peanut butter cookies they were selling were out of this world. We love this place. Yes a large pizza is expensive, but as someone who worked at Dominos before, sunshine sauce is made fresh daily. Compared dominos which is made 500 miles away using the lowest quality ingredients packed with preservatives so it can stay "fresh" a lot longer and be transported across America. Topping wise no comparison. Sunshine pizza loads you up with fresh toppings compared to the skimpy dominos pizza. Now, I still order dominos and will continue too, but the price difference is for a reason. read more

This place brings back childhood memories. Growing up in Portland, Sunshine Pizza was everywhere. I'm really bummed that they aren't in the Portland area anymore. But when I found out about this location when I was in the area, I couldn't help myself. I was a little hesitant. After all, some places don't hit the standard that you fondly remember as a child. This is a small Mom & Pop type joint in a very small American town (little pink houses). It's my 83-year-old mother's favorite little joint, so where else would I take her on Valentine's Day? Half decent salad bar with a bevy of daily specials. We opted for home made clam chowder. It was really good! Though it's namesake implies they're a pizza joint, I honestly cannot attest to the pizza's quality. But their pasta, and sandwich selection looks pretty vast! Was visiting the little town and came across sunshine pizza! The breadsticks were really good but didn't come with any sauces. (they charge for marinara and ranch and it's not even good) I really wanted to love the pizza but it was just okay.
