MOD Pizza is nearly identical to My Pie, which opened in the Double Diamond area of Reno a few months earlier. Honestly, there is little to separate the two (MOD is slightly more expensive, but only slightly), so where you live might determine which you like best. I would give a slight edge to My Pie, but that's just a personal preference. I have no major complaints about MOD. My pizza was served quickly and was exactly as I wanted it. My only quibbles are that the soft drink cups are small, which means you're likely to be running back and forth for refills, and the music is loud. I couldn't hear what the cashier was telling me. But like My Pie, it's a Coke place, not a Pepsi place, which earns it bonus points in my book. :) read more

Great place! Took my grandma here for the first time and it was her very first time in the "make your own pizza" scene. Let me tell you, the staff was more than accommodating towards her, her understanding, and her age. They were very helpful in getting her acquainted with the idea of making your own pizza! First time here and it was really good! You can personalize your own pizza, get a speciality pizza, or modify a speciality pizza. The price is the same regardless of how many toppings you decide to get. The mini mod is 6" and is perfect for an individual. The pizza itself was really good, will be coming back soon! read more

I won a pizza party on Facebook at Mod Pizza. I have never been there. The staff was great both on the phone and in store. I ordered a variety of pizzas to really try the assortment they had. Best part is all toppings are included in your original pizza price. They have everything!!! I was given 10 pizzas for Free for my prize!! The topping and the crust were of great quality. The only downfall was that it is a thin crust and really needs to be eaten fresh not take out. No fault of MOD but to really appreciate the pizza straight from the oven is the way to go. We were still very thrilled at the quality, and more than anything, the great service provided. Thank you. We will return for sure. read more

What a creative new idea taking over the pizza scene. We've heard about a few of these create your own pizza places and last night, we thought we'd finally try one out and we found ourselves at MOD. We were greeted upon entry and after we told them it was our first time - they gave us a super short run down of what to do. It was really loud so I'm not sure if I was actually getting options or just agreeing with what they were suggesting. I ordered all the toppings I wanted for the same price whether I would have picked one topping or all of them. The price was pretty good for what we got and it was nice they had a beer selection. The only big downside is that after eating here, my boyfriend and I both had upset stomachs that carried on into the morning. Still very good and may try again. read more

This pizza was "da bomb" as soon as you walk in the staff will greet you with the friendly smile and talk you through the whole way through every step of making your personalized pizza and or salad even after you make your pizza the stuff will ask you how your feeling and make you feel great. The food was delicious!! The ingredients are fresh and if you don't feel like you got enough of a certain topping then just ask and they will add as much as you like at no extra charge! The atmosphere was stunning I love the art pieces and the friendly stickers that almost felt like my family had written them just to make me feel good :) the lemon-aid was strong just the way I like it! We have eaten at Mod Pizza six times. Their crust is very thin almost like a cracker. We have tried the Caspian (BBQ Chicken) which is my favorite. The Dominic, Lucy Sunshine and the Calexico (mozzarella, gorgonzola, chicken, jalapenos, hot buffalo sauce, red sauce). All of them have been fresh and fantastic. The staff is very friendly and the manager came over and talked to us for about 5 min the last time we were there. You can also build your pizza. Plan on getting some gift cards and giving them out to clients and friends. read more
