I came in this restaurant on August 25th, 2016. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. Everything was going perfectly fine until I came upon an issue. I asked one of the employees if there's any way I may add bacon to my shake, she bluntly said no. I was a bit surprised upon her answer since the other MOD in Fontana had previously done one for me, I didn't see the problem why they wouldn't have done one here. I politely responded with a thank you and ordered a different shake. I wasn't bothered by the situation, rather just disappointed that she didn't bother to ask if it was allowed. I encountered another situation with one of the workers, she was wearing a hat with pink hair, and glasses. I personally did not like her customer service that night. I received one out of two of my pies slightly black. My husband received the slightly burned pizza, and he wasn't enjoying his pie because of the burnt edges. I returned the pie to the employee with the pink hair and I asked her if I may receive another pie since the one I previously got wasn't to my satisfaction. She rudely replied saying "What is wrong with it?" I've already mentioned her what the problem was and the solution to it, apparently she didn't pay attention to what I had requested since she replied saying "So did you want a new one?" I responded with a yes and as she was writting down the ingredients I had on my previous pie, she rolled her eyes at me, almost as if she was annoyed by the problem. I didn't mind, since I consider myself an optimistic and patient person, I simply thought she was having a bad day. I received a new one and went back to my seat. After I finished enjoying my pie with my husband, I noticed that the same employee with the pink hair and hat, started to gossip to the other co-workers about how I exaggerated upon how my pie was burned. I thought that was really rude of her because I'm thinking she's having a bad day and I had sympathy for her and didn't want to give her a hard time, but once I noticed that she was talking about me, I changed my thought completely about her. I was having a wonderful day until she essentially ruined it with her senseless actions. I do wish to return to this restaurant only and if, I don't see her working, and if so, I will walk out the door and enjoy the food that the other restaurants may offer. Overall the place is enjoyable and sophisticated, I just wish some employees would be a little more considerate of the customers, since as the saying goes "The customers are always right." Other than that, the rest of the employees were really nice that night. read more

This place is the ish. The pizza is so good. The crust is flat so it's not too doughy. I love how you can customize it and they make and cook it right in front of you. Always plan 45 min to an hour here. There is always a line. And when there isn't there is only one person making pizza. We love the pizza here and usually go to say hi to Jonah who seems to have the best attitude there. To be honest the staff acts as if they hate their job. Try and crack a joke.... Tough crowd. FAIL! Needs a negative star! After the gym I really wanted chipotle but it wasn't open yet so I went to MOD... I love love love pieology! So thought maybe this would be a relatively comparable place to go since I didn't want to drive clear across town. Well... FAIL! Everything is horrible. I have nothing good to say. For the price I payed and the look and taste of the pizza wasn't worth it. I wanted so bad to just walk out when ordering but thought I'd give it a shot and try something new. Ordering was ok the guy doing the sauce was slow and seemed like he was measuring how much he put on the dough. I asked for garlic didn't get that had to ask again. The topping girl put very very little cheese that when i looked at it after looking at the other toppings, I was like ugh can I get more cheese... She added the meat: only 5 pepperoni only 5!!!! I got jalapeños 4. And onions I got 4! The other toppings didn't look fresh at all so couldn't really add more toppings. WTF really I'm paying $8 for that! Oooh and the ranch oooh that was free! Got home opened the box and just sunk in my chair and said to myself this is the worst pizza ever! I wanted so bad to take it back but ate it instead and made the decision to never eat there again. Amazing food!! I have a moderate gluten intolerance, and their gluten free crust is fantastic! Don't go there though if you are very sensitive to gluten. They cook all of the pizzas in the same oven. Oh! They also have Sriracha ;) read more

Usually got to Pieology but MOD's closer , so of course after a long day and being hungry decided to stop by and give it a second try , ( the first time I wasn't a fan ) . When I first got there the girl that asked me what size sauce and cheese was rude , she honestly looked like she hated her job . But I work in a restaurant and I get it so I didn't let it bother me. But as I'm looking at the choices for toppings I feel like they could have been a bit better variety . So I just got a few toppings. when I go to pay the guy at the register does not look very happy either and I still try to make the best of it , leave a tip and everything cause once again , I get it . Long days and working in a restaurant you're not always gonna have the best attitude. But then I wait for my pizza and I stand right by the soda machine so I could hear my name cause it was kind of loud and busy . And I don't hear it but I give it some time and I saw a box sitting on the counter so I give it more time and then I go up to ask if that could be mine and I'm waiting at the counter for a few minutes, and was not acknowledged . The workers were too busy having their own conversation , throwing flour at each other and walking past me in and out to their back area. Finally the guy that rang me up ( mister unhappy ) walks up and ask if I need something. And I ask if it was my pizza and he said yeah and gives it to me , but I ask if I can get buffalo sauce on it and he has attitude as he takes it back over the counter and barely puts any buffalo sauce on it and places it back on the counter . I was kinda sad cause I was really looking forward to my pizza after a long day at school , and the service kinda ruined it for me . Came on 8/25/2016. Pizza was really good. No burnt areas for us. Lemonade was also great, best of all is the ice they have!! The area they can improve on is cleanliness of the indoor dining area, and some hair restraints for the employees making the pizzas. Not necessarily hairnets, but at least some hats/ visors. read more

We tried MODPizza for the first time yesterday (8/7) around 630pm. My friend & her husband went first & got thru the line fairly quickly.. my husband and I, however, got halted after picking a size. They decided then was a good time to change out all of the toppings to new pans (which I appreciate the health code upkeep) and stop production completely. We maybe waited 2-3 minutes before someone new came and started working on our pizzas. Now, I had asked for easy sauce, which they write on the paper underneath your crust. Did she look? No. Did I get easy sauce? No. I didn't say anything because I was just hungry, and would be fine with regular sauce. The next person asked for our toppings, but instead of asking me first (I was the first person in line/first pizza on deck) he asked my husband first & we had to stop him from putting my husbands pizza toppings on my pizza (not that we can't share - I just don't eat a lot of meat on my pizza and my husband is a carnivore to the max). Once we were done with choosing all of our toppings, we went to the register and were plainly asked "what did you get?" ... no hi, hello, nothing. Just flatly asked the question. We let him know, and I asked for a regular sized drink cup. My husband was looking at the beer selection (minimal) and the guy rolled his eyes a little when my husband finally just asked for a regular drink cup as well. We paid ($25 for 2 pizzas, garlic bread & 2 drinks).. and went on our way. Looking back on it, it's kinda weird they don't explain anything to you about how they'll call your name when your pizza is ready.. we caught on pretty quick but still. I got their specialty red lemonade (I can't remember the name), my husband had orange soda. Our friends asked what happened because we were right behind them but didn't sit down with them for a good 5-7 minute stretch. One of their pizzas came up, then our garlic bread, then their other pizza came up but it was under the wrong name, then our pizzas came up. I have to say the pizzas were really good, although mine fell apart instantly (I still ate it, I'm 8.5 months pregnant). While we were there the couple next to us had their pizzas forgotten about, waited a good 20-25 minutes for their pizza to finally be made, and they were offered a "mistake" pizza in the meantime. Overall, the food is good but they aren't great about customer service or the systems they have in place. I highly doubt we'll go back, simply based on this visit alone.. it just wasn't what I thought it would be. read more

As a pizza lover, I was super excited to see a 'build your own' type of restaurant being built in an area closer to home. First, I must say MOD pizza was pretty good as far as taste goes. They do have quite a few different variety of meats, veggies and cheeses, which is of course typical of a 'build your own' establishment. Their crust was a bit too thin, which I didn't mind too much, but it could improve on that aspect! It's a but thicker than Pieology's, and has way better taste. Their sauce was flavorful, although they don't put much on the actual pizza it's self, unless you ask. Actually, in general, I noticed they're rather stingy with the toppings. The guy who helped us out would grab a small pinch of each, and toss it on, and about a quarter of it didn't even land on the pizza, which was just wasteful. Even when we'd ask for a bit more of something, he'd grab a even smaller amount and toss it on. After the veggies, he didn't ask if I'd like anything else added, he just tossed it to the table where they prepare to put it in the oven. I had to ask him to put a bit more cheese in it. Which seemed to annoy him. The price was decent. I paid around 14 bucks for a pizza, a drink and the garlic sticks. The garlic sticks tasted ok; would have been better had the dough been a bit thicker, they include a dipping sauce as well. Also, the drink was rather small, I guess if you're gonna sit there and eat, it's ok. But if you take it to go, and are thirsty. It's not worth it. The decor in the restaurant was decent, and it was pretty clean for a Friday. The staff, other than the gentleman that helped us, were very nice. They collectively greet folks as they enter the establishment. And the girl who started our order was very friendly and helpful. I would visit MOD again, because like I said, the flavor itself was decent. Although, I'd much prefer driving to Blaze pizza in Rancho Cucamonga, because they have awesome service, and their pizza is delicious.. BUT, if you're in the Redlands area and looking for something close by, MOD is definitely a decent alternative! read more

Have given this place two tries. Like the concept (like Subway for pizza), but ... First visit they burnt the pizza while keeping the middle cold, then remade it careful not to burn it so crust was soggy. 2nd visit asked specifically to heat middle without burning it, but 1/2 the edge was burnt. Mgr rather than being helpful was argumentative & short. I was told I'd asked for well-done, when what I asked for was heated all the way through without burning. I was given a refund with all the warmth a farmer has for locusts. Would suggest Pieology or anywhere else if you want this concept & good attitude & service. read more

So I come here often and I was in line for over 25 minutes!!! It took the person taking everyone's order over 5 minutes each pizza?! Like seriously!? I'm On my lunch break and have no time for this it honestly took the help of the two young ladies who were cooking and calling pizzas out to finish everyone in line in all honesty less than 7 minutes I plan to come back, but if it's always going to take this long with the young men working as slow as possible than no thank you read more

While their pizza is good and their crust is better than Pieology in my opinion, I have yet to be satisfied by my experiences here. I have received great customer service by the people who have taken my order both visits, but when it came to the cashier they were not that friendly. For example, I had to sign my receipt and as I was signing it, the cashier walked away and didn't come back. Granted I was done paying and such but she didn't even take my receipt, I just had to leave it there. They just seemed to be too busy for me, when there was about 6 people in the store. And it didn't stop there, the other employees helping to cook the pizza as well as the manager all seemed too busy to even send a smile my way. And from what it looked like they were not doing anything, but talking to what looked like a mutual friend from behind the counter. I just think that if they could improve their customer service on everyone's part and not just the person taking the order that they improve the experiences of their customers. (This is for the company in general) If you're interested in buying a plain cheese pizza, you have to pay for the custom price pizza although you aren't getting any extra toppings. Whereas if you were at Pieology the cheese pizza is about $2 cheaper than the custom made pizza. read more

LOVE! Ok, so I've now tried MOD, Pieology, and Blaze and MOD by far is my favorite hands down. Every single time I've come, the staff have been super friendly. They're always yelling "Welcome!" whenever anyone walks in the door, smiling, making jokes, and explaining whats what to the first timers whenever I bring someone who's never been there before. The pizza has the perfect texture, thin and just the right amount of crispy. I've never been disappointed. They also serve beer which is a huge plus... and they have this bomb juice that is called the marrion(?) berry juice. It's a MUST try. I swear it tastes like a mix of pomegranate juice and lemonade. YUM! The location has a chill and fun vibe and is always clean. I'd definitely recommend this place. Oh yea! And they have milkshakes. One time one of the staff members walked around giving out tasters and it was so delicious my friend and I had to get one! I think it was a strawberry cheesecake flavor or something. First off, this is pizza, so automatically I am a fan. The toppings are good and you can control how much they put on and what they add. The pricing is also reasonable. I recommend that you give it a try. You may want to eat outside, the music always plays loudly and the people inside have to talk over the music. read more

Tried the Cooper, which is a seasonal pizza they were offering, with asparagus, red peppers, red onion... It's was delish! I hope they still offer it next time! MOD Pizza was a great experience. We went to Mod Pizza for the first time last night. It is like subway but pizza instead of sandwiches. You get to choose the size you want and you get to choose any toppings you want and as much as you want. So if you want extra cheese you can have extra cheese. We ordered two 11 inch pizzas and one Mega pizza and three drinks. The price came up to about $36 and some change. They are known for their Blackberry lemonade and regular lemonade and caramelized pear iced tea. My husband loves lemonade and thought their lemonade was fantastic. They had a lot of toppings to choose from; from vegetable toppings to meat toppings. It was a little bit of a wait but it wasn't too bad and the pizzas cooks really fast. You can sit inside or outside and the drinks are unlimited. The pizza quality was good. It is thin crusted so if you want thicker crust you would get a mega size pizza which is two crusts put together. I only ate half the pizza. When I warmed it up this morning in the microwave it was not so good. So if you eat it the next day put it in the oven not the microwave. I would definitely go back to Mod Pizza. read more

so my son and i go in and they greet you in unison 'Welcome!'. thats cool. then you order your pizza similar to pieology restaurant but they are much neater and more efficient. we got our pizzas pretty fast. though next time i am going to load up on toppings as when i stuck to a classic it wasn't much. so next time i will custom make it and ask for everything except for japenos. hehehe. one of the workers handed us a complimentary balsamic sauce, it was delish. thanks mod! read more
