Mod is one of my favorite spots to eat pizza, because its thin, hot and fast. I love that you can make it your way and the kids love it too. And you can't beat the prices, for individual pizzas that is. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because they lost a star when I ordered online this past Saturday. I ordered online and they completely forgot to put certain toppings on two of the pizzas, and one of the pizzas that I requested to be a Mega Mod (double crust) was put made on the wrong pizza. So all 3 pizzas we ordered were WRONG. I wont be ordering online again. Next time I will just go and order them in person and take home. :) read more

"The Subway of Pizza" is the description most people use to explain this. Well, except they don't over yeast their dough or use weird composite meat products instead of fresh ingredients. Mod pizza seems to take great care in freshness and consistency of their brand. I've never seen limp veggies or people cutting bags of previously frozen mystery meat into containers. Everything looks fresh cut and at a high standard. As for the food, I have been back many times. Fresh, quick, friendly. My wife craves Mod pizza. As a side note, I have even tried the gluten free crust. And thanks to Mod Pizza, I can now confirm that, although nobody really knows what gluten is. We know it tastes really good and anything that is gluten free is like skipping the pretty cookies and eating the box they came in. Mod pizza! If you ask everyone where to go to dinner and the answer is "I don't know" Go Mod, you can't fail. read more

I love mod pizza. Whenever I'm in the mood for a pizza, I can't go wrong with choosing mod. I get to pick the pizza size and all the toppings I want. They charge you for the pizza size not for the toppings. It's so convenient like a subway for pizzas. You get to stand there and tell the staff exactly which toppings you want on your pizza. So far, I've only gotten pizza with marina sauce. But for my adventurous friends out there, they do have green pesto sauce. I usually get pepperoni on my pizzas until today when I saw that they had salami too. Today, I ended up getting pepperoni, salami and Italian sausage with olives, green bell peppers, roaster red peppers, a few pieces of whole roasted garlic and some jalapeño. It was soooooo good. And they do have indoor and out door seating. Today was perfect to sit outside. Look at the beautiful sky!! Keep in mind that if you decide to sit outside, you will need to bring your own red pepper, cheese and oregano shakers outside with you (and napkins). They are right next to where you fill your drinks. I think all of the staff here are nice. They do have one particular employee who's a hard worker and stands out among the rest of the staff. He is the guy that cleans up the tables and is so friendly and helpful every single time I've seen him. read more

Being new to Houston we were looking for a late night snack or should I say pizza and we fell upon this lil place. From seeing it was wood fire baked pizza and artisan style it drew us in, after walking in confused the staff their were so helpful everyone was trying to help us. The salad I ordered was absolutely delicious! So many items to choose from. Although I was slightly disappointed with the size of the salad after I finished eating it I realized it was just enough. This is a hip new place for a typical suburban town drenched in terrible chain food options. Brick oven pizza, that you get to make anyway you want. You can put as many toppings (tons to choose from) all for the same price, which is marvelous. I go to MOD all the time in Austin, so I was happy to have one open by my place. Getting my pizza prepped in front of me and being able to customize it how I wanted were big selling points. However, the biggest was the brick oven and super friendly staff. I am not a picky person, but It was the accumulation of little things that went wrong on my first visit that tempers my review. I missed the entrance, so I had to drive a mile past and back to get to the restaurant. This isn't the restaurant's fault, but I had to maneuver the party gauntlet to get to and from the restroom. Even though it was Saturday, 3:30 pm, the place was getting crowded. The atmosphere was not inviting, but hurried. The pizza tasted great, but the crust was partially burnt. I did not put a second layer of cheese on, so the toppings were falling off the pizza. This place needs a second chance from me. I know what to expect the second time. read more

We absolutely love this restaurant. Custom pizza and salads that are made to order while you wait. I know it sounds time consuming but most times the pizza is ready as soon as we get our drinks, salads are made as you move through the line. Yes, the pizza is cooked in a fire brick oven so expect it to be a little scorched in places, it's part of the craftsmanship that goes with making a pizza by hand and actually cooking in an oven and tended by hand versus it running through a timed heated conveyor belt "oven", which barely melts the cheese! If you don't like a little burnt crust then I would advise that you never go to any pizzeria in NY or NJ, they will laugh you all the way back to where you came from! The concept is different from other pizza places but it is quick and good. You add any toppings you want and are charged based on the size not the toppings. We enjoy the atmosphere and the "MOD Music" channel plays some sweet tunes, 80's & 90's alternative like Depeche Mode, etc. I highly recommend checking this place out. I'm not a huge pizza fan but this is by far the best pizza I've ever had. I love how the crust is fairly thin and that they have dairy free cheese (which is actually very tasty and has a great consistency). You might have to wait a few minutes in line but once you order, you get your pizza in less than five minutes! read more

I was so, so happy that a place like this opened in Pasadena. I usually go to Pie Five by Baybrook for pizza like this but this is closer. The staff is always smiling and patient and the service is fast and they make your food just how you want it. Extra toppings actually means EXTRA here! Not just adding one tiny piece on your pizza. The pizzas are thin which I don't really like but for the price it's okay with me. Oh and that lemonade is so delicious. It'll strip your enamel right off but I still go for it. I've only had one bad experience here and it was when a certain employee who was putting the pizzas in the oven kept burning ALL of them. It tasted like a burnt corn tortilla with toppings on it. Fast, clean and consistent pizza (thin crust only). The subway of pizza is just what it sounds like. That being said not much explaining to do. The drinks they offer are refreshing try the caramelized pear tea it's great. The one thing I don't understand is the tip portion of the receipt. I walk the line and order what I want I get my own drink and pick up my own pizza once it's done and my name is yelled out. So if I don't tip at subway why would I tip here? I love the concept of MOD Pizza where you get a standard size with as many toppings as you want. Red sauce or white sauce or garlic or olive oil to start! I've tried several of the topping combinations that are on their menu. All have been very tasty. Any of their pizzas are great starting with that delicious crust fast cooked in the oven. It comes out fast and great ingredients. Salads are the same. As many good quality toppings as you want. They also have a no name cake that is moist and yummy (think ding dong). MOD Pizza is basically 2 words, Pizza Subway. They have very fresh ingredients and I LOVE that they use a brick oven to cook the pizzas . As far as I know, they Dont have a limit to how much you could put on your pizza toppings wise but I would still reccomend only putting max 7/8 toppings as the more stuff you put on the longer the cook time and the better chances of some crisp tasty mama Mia pizza! You really can't go wrong here and for a standard 11" sized pizza for under 10 bucks it's beyond exceeded my expectations to be honest lol.
