Let's be real...we all know why we come here. It's the sauce. If it wasn't for the sauce canes would not be in business. That being said they've got it down right. The environment is always laid back and clean, service is always very very quick. Food is always good cause of the sauce although they've shrunken the size of the tenders by approximately 13% in the last few years and it's very expensive for what it is so 1 star off for that. Overall they got me in a grip with their food cause of the sauce like the Soviet Union had on Berlin so I will continue eating here just cause of the sauce. They have terrible service, and they WILL forget your sauces. I went to canes 2 days ago and they forgot BOTH of my canes sauces. I called them today and asked for a refund or a replacement meal. I even had the old meal with me ready to give to them to exchange it. The manager, "Daniel" I think said that I can go get a free meal on them over the phone. I drove there, and when I went to pick it up at the window I had to explain to the workers the situation, and they looked annoyed. They called over the manager, and he didn't say anything and just touched something on the register and walked away. The workers at the register just told me that he took of the cost of 2 sauces. My long drive to canes for nothing. I told them to cancel it and the boy that was standing outside to hand me my food just said "okay, whatever" and I drove off. Canes no longer has my business until I am compensated. The sauce is the only reason I go there, and they failed to deliver. Also, there is NO reason why the workers should act like that, or the manager who lied to me. Also, don't worry because while they didn't gives me canes sauce, I did get the disgusting coleslaw. We decided to go here partly because I have the palate of a seven year old, and I love chicken fingers, and partly because it was a new place for us, and partly because I ran a half marathon the day before and was still in "treat myself" mode. We did exchange the coleslaw for extra fries, as neither hubby or I like coleslaw. Sadly, the fries were not that good. They were cold and bland and tasted frozen. Next time I will get extra toast instead as that was delicious. And the chicken was fantastic, Hot and fresh and had a really delicious crunchy crust. I could have eaten chicken and bread and been happy. Again. The palate of a seven year old, remember? The sauce was awesome as well. The place was clean as were the bathrooms. I am writing this review based on the customer service. I enjoy the food and no complaints. My family and I ordered $45 dollars worth of food and we were told to pull around and wait.....no problem. Before pulling to the side we asked for two cups of water and they wanted 50cents for. I feel if you spend $45 for food and told to wait the least you can do is give the customer two free cups of water while we wait in the car during summer. I felt this was wrong so we cancelled the whole order and got food else where that doesn't mind giving free water with their food. Won't be back! read more
