The two chicken McNuggets from the boxcombo I bought around 12:30 am

Order a boxcombo and got 3 regular size tenders and two chicken McNuggets pieces it's disappointing that my favorite restaurant hoeing me like this if I wanted nuggets I would go to McDonald's you feel?

The food here has a great taste, staff is pretty cool and it's over all a clean restaurant but.... this is very disappointing. Look at the size of these chicken strips.. Everyone knows, when it comes to chicken wings or chicken strips, there's always a chance you might get a small one or two, which is fine... but an entire order of puny chicken strips?? These strips are basically size of a ketchup packet. Very greedy. I've come here for years and when I order the caniac it usually fills me up on 3 strips and I have plenty left over. With these shrimp strips, I finished everything in one sitting. That's a better name for them, Canes Shrimpsticks.. or Canes chicken nuggets. Is it because I ordered to-go? This is what whoever can make this call said "Business is booming here on Fairmont this is great! But maybe if we cut the size of the chicken fingers we serve in half, we can increase profits by 30%! Call the cooks in for a meeting, tell them to clock in immediately!"

They have terrible service, and they WILL forget your sauces. I went to canes 2 days ago and they forgot BOTH of my canes sauces. I called them today and asked for a refund or a replacement meal. I even had the old meal with me ready to give to them to exchange it. The manager, "Daniel" I think said that I can go get a free meal on them over the phone. I drove there, and when I went to pick it up at the window I had to explain to the workers the situation, and they looked annoyed. They called over the manager, and he didn't say anything and just touched something on the register and walked away. The workers at the register just told me that he took of the cost of 2 sauces. My long drive to canes for nothing. I told them to cancel it and the boy that was standing outside to hand me my food just said "okay, whatever" and I drove off. Canes no longer has my business until I am compensated. The sauce is the only reason I go there, and they failed to deliver. Also, there is NO reason why the workers should act like that, or the manager who lied to me. Also, don't worry because while they didn't gives me canes sauce, I did get the disgusting coleslaw. I will make sure canes loses money from me, as I will not be going there and tell my friends about this incident to try and get people to go somewhere else.

Christmas Eve and the place is empty. I am glad about it. Service was great, my order was handed to me by the time I paid for my meal. The ladies working the counter were friendly with great personalities. The resturant including the restrooms were clean. My kind of place. The fries could have been better seasoned. The strips were very good and filling. What shall I say about the sweet tea....???? So doggone Good....

    These are baby tenders now.

They started off good when they first opened, but have fallen off. Now they sell you small tenders every time and you pay for 6 with the caniac, but receive a 4 piece worth of chicken with this small nuggets. They're not tenders. They use old oil which has a burnt taste to the chicken and your drinks are watered down. Last straw. Won't be back. Lol

    Nugget-size Chicken. Overpriced.

This branch definitely does not live up to the corporate standards you find at other Cane locations. The chicken here is nugget size measuring about 2 inches. Come on dude, you ain't gonna please nobody with these little things. Factor in the price point, and you'll quickly realize it's a better value buying tenders anywhere else but here.

The drive through order takers have their mask below their nose and or I. Their back pocket. They were right in my window not 6' away

The Laynes sauce has come out thick a few times and a little runny another time, but every time it was the bomb. The toast really stacks up well against Canes. I always thought no one would come close to Canes toast, well Laynes definitely does. The fries are also really good but the spicy strips are definitely the stand out. To top it all off, the chocolate shake is amazing! If you're not completely stuffed by the end of your meal, I definitely recommend a chocolate shake!

Location is on the heavily congested Fairmont corridor. Parking is decent and free. So I believe Layne's has a cult like following it's either you love it or you don't. Counter is at entrance and you order there. I went with the 3 tender combo with fries, gravy, and Texas toast. The food came out hot and fresh. The tenders were decent but not great. There was hardly any seasoning in the breading to make this tender stand out. The cream gravy helped. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms were clean. There is alot of artwork around the building to give it some identity. The story behind the 6 clocks on the wall was cool. I don't think playing loud reggaeton in the kitchen where all your guests can hear is a good look. Will I be back in the future, prob not. Overall marginal food.

I even explained to the manager at the counter my previous experience with a nearby location and corporate (who remained radio silent), and she did everything in her power to help mend the relationship. Impressive. Not so impressive was the food here. First, this chain serves Vienna Beef hot dogs, which are the best hot dogs in the universe, as far as I'm concerned. (I order them regularly from Gold Belly.) Vienna Beef is central to a Chicago Dog, which used to be central to the Freddy's menu. But no longer. They don't even have sport peppers in the building any more, rather they offer fried jalapenos. So I went with mustard and kraut, since they tend to do a decent job with that. My bad. Though the kraut was nice and crunchy, the dogs came out ... not cold, but barely warmed. The fries, which you have to eat in a hurry (else they'll get cold), came out at room temp. I sampled the smash burger and the patty melt and was unimpressed with the temperature and quality. Someone way over salted the burger -- probably an accident -- and it just seemed greasier than usual. Also not impressive here was the cleanliness. The table was OK, but the drink and condiment area left much to be desired. Also, take a look at my photo of the tray. Why would someone serve my food on this? Bottom line: Freddy's has been passed around between private equity firms since the pandemic. I usually don't complain or worry about such transactions, but my experiences at this joint since then have mostly been negative. Coincidence? Perhaps. But the next time someone gives me a gift card to this place, I'll re-gift it.

Clean. Very nice and patient staff. I never know what I want because everything is always so good!!read more

Both the cashier and girl who handed me my food looked like they really didn't want to be there. The food: there in fact was tomato in my burger, no biggie, I pulled out the two big slices. I'm sure some seed or something stayed behind because I could still taste the tomato which I hate tomatoes. The meat not cooked all the way through and did not even receive the spread or mustard.
