I've never been to a MOD Pizza so this was my first experience and I was thoroughly impressed! For less than $10 you can get a huge personal sized pizza (enough for nearly 2 meals for me!) made to order and customized to your tastes OR choose from one of their hip pre-customized options. The key though is to: 1) not overload your pizza so you can still eat it later without it falling apart or becoming soggy and 2) get the garlic oil at the end (it's oil...but it's so good). Visited MOD's once again today and am fairly disappointed. The pizza was good but the service was otherwise. Felt very rushed when I was building my pizza. There was only one person at the front pizza station at first but halfway into the building process another lady with long dark black and blonde hair with rectangular glasses comes up to help finish building and the first thing she says is, "are these pizzas ready?" ummmmm no? we're barely halfway done? No greetings, no offer to put anything else on just if they were ready..... After that, another lady who was putting the pizzas in the oven spills some of my toppings and yells it out for everybody to hear and even if it was minor spillage, was it really necessary to be loud and obnoxious about it? That kind of stuff worries your customers. We put exactly what we want on our pizza and expect it to come out that way when we pay for it. Everyone looked at me because they KNEW they had made a mistake but nobody owned up to it. So now, i'm irritated. On TOP of that, when we go to sit down, a lot of the tables were dirty and that same lady who gave no service aside from asking if our pizzas were ready came out to take the plates located on top of the trash can and to push in chairs - but with no consideration to actually wipe them. What's the point of pushing in chairs if you aren't going to extend the effort to wipe them? That's not a table people would want to sit at- chairs pushed in or not. Overall, was not a good experience. I was too irritated to even finish my pizza. Unfortunate because I was just starting to warm up to MOD's. read more

I love love MOD pizza. I was in town for business and when my co workers and I were searching for a dinner spot I stumbled across MOD pizza. I was so excited like a little kid would be at Disneyland or Disney world. My colleagues have never heard if MOD so they were up to trying it. I have lived in Dallas Texas for 3 years and didnt know MOD pizza was in Texas! Back home in Cali there was one 5 mins from my house and I used to go there ALL the time. So when my colleagues I arrived at MOD I acted like a silly little kid. Lol! I know better to get a while lot of toppings as it can make your pizza very soggy. I didnt care!! I didnt know when I will ever be able to eat a MOD pizza again. I got everything except the kitchen sink. Of course only ate half. Oh I also got a pumpkin spice cake and chocolate cake to have later back at the hotel. Those were so tasty! They are a little larger than a ding ding and better! My colleagues liked MOD too and one of my colleagues said there is one near her house in San Antonio. She planned on taking her family there. So MOD Pizza is the brother of the LeBron James invested Blaze Pizza. Same concept, same options for condiments. They however have two sizes of pizzas, a 11' and a 7'. They only offer two appetizer options, and offer salads as well. The best thing about MOD is that it's cheaper than Blaze! My 11' was cut into four big pieces. I was reluctant to get chicken on my pizza (because I'm not a pork and beef eater) because chicken with Blaze doesn't taste well. Words can't express how much my brother and I loved this place! I had seen a few other people post great reviews on Yelp, and me being the pizza slore that I am I was anxious to see what the fuss was about. But better than the prices is the FREEDOM you get to pick n choose what you want on your pizza. I had The Cooper and my brother had The Calexico. We split and traded halves. I tasted his pizza and it was spicy and delicious! All the veggies were crisp and fresh, the crust was perfectly cooked with a slight char underneath. This is my kind of pizza! I bit into my half and it was the same perfection and consistency. Neither of us could believe just how cheap it was. You get an amazing bang for your buck here! After we finished our last slices my brother tells me "I have to give these guys a piece of my mind." and I was like "what?" And the conversation with the cooks went something like this. Bro: Everything was good but I do have a complaint to make Cook/Manager(puzzled and intrigued): Oh ok. Was everything ok? And of course the pizza was good too! Since I had never been there before I wasn't sure how exactly to order. So they explained to me how it works. You can either create your own pizza. Or you can order some of their creations. We ordered two pizzas. The #7 was called the Dillon James. It was similar to a margherita pizza. And we also ordered the #9 which was called the Caspian. It was a BBQ Chicken pizza. Their pizzas are thin crust. As far as I know, that's the only crust option they have. But that's OK because it was DELISH!! We also ordered the garlic strips. They were pretty good too. The cool thing about MOD is that you pay for the crust, not the toppings. So you can put as many toppings as you want! What I really loved was their drink options! I tried the Blackberry Lemonade. Yum! But what was even better was their Caramelized Pear iced tea! OMG! I think I had 3 or more refills! Sooooo good! It tasted like vanilla tea to me. I'm probably late getting on the Mod Pizza train, but I'm so glad that I finally did! Fresh and flavorful are the two words that come to mind! If you haven't been, you are definitely missing out. You pick your own toppings and flavorings and they bake up the perfect pie for you. This location in particular could have been cleaner, but I'll chalk up the unkempt state of the dining area to the fact that the place was super crowded when I visited. You choose your crust, sauce and any and as many toppings you'd like. Don't forget to add extra cheese at the end! The best part, you aren't charged individually or by ingredient! Stock that pizza full, baby! I always get the smallest pizza with white sauce (Alfredo), spinach, Roma tomatoes, pineapple (if I'm feeling crazy) and extra pepperoni. When we walked in (4 of us), they greeted us even though it was super crowded. Next, I noticed in the assembly line, the employees who handled the meats, handling all the veggies. This upset me. I asked Angelica, who attended us what we can do. She said she would make our pizzas herself with all veggies from the fresh boxes under the cabinet. And she did it happily, we are very happy.
