Pizza is never my first choice but I had been hearing good things about this place so we decided to check it out. Came in on a Friday evening not to crazy busy and the line moved efficiently. I ordered the Dillion James but changed it to white sauce and added mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, artichoke, olives and a blue cheese type cheese sprinkled throughout. It was so good! The taste was spot on, I was so happy I could make a veggie pizza exactly like I wanted. The crust had a good taste to it the only complaint I had was that it could have been a little crisper and is why I only gave the four stars. My husband and daughter both made their meat pizzas which they were happy with as well. We thought the prices were reasonable and on my next visit I will have to order a milkshake. I will not ever eat here. Yesterday I went to the Xfinity store in Pasadena right off the beltway , so that I could pay my bill. Well when you pay your cable bill at one of their store locations with the payment kiosk, it doesn't give change back. So I asked one of the employees if I could have change. They said that they didn't do change and he kindly referred me to Mod's pizza right next door. I went next door, and I began to ask the cashier if she had change for a $20, but before I could even get my whole sentence out; the manager rudely interrupts me and says "We DON'T do change. Besides we just went to the bank. Maybe you might want to go to the bank." So I said well I just needed change for a 20 I'm just trying to make a payment next door and they don't give out change. (Getting into my personal space I'm backing up as he continues to get into my personal space) then proceeded to repeat himself and then I said well understood that that , well OK fine if I just buy something then I could get change back that way. He then repeated himself again and then he asked me "well what do you need it for?" I said I've already told you what I needed change for! So either let me buy something so I can have some change or I'm leaving. He then says "well don't get mad at me or my cashier it wouldn't be fair to give out change and then I wouldn't have change to give to my customers. We don't do change. " so I left. Went right next door to this Asian fusion place and the guy at the counter was MORE than happy to give me change for a 20. I will NEVER give my business to this establiment . For a place where you customize your own pizza, they are surprisingly bad about messing up my pizza. They can't seem to communicate that they shouldn't put the swirl on my pizza. I'm sure the food is good when it's not drowned in sauce, and maybe one day I'll find out, but right now this location is 0 for 3 in getting it right. read more

Well we went there tonight the staff was really rude toward my wife and toward me i even tip there tip jar if i had k nown they were going to act like that i would not had tip. I just found a BEST NEW PIZZA RESTAURANT!! Let's just start with the customer service which was second to NONE! They REALLY know how to treat their customers and greet them with a warm welcome, as you enter!! I was already sold on that, alone. What brought me here were the awesome reviews given by major foodies I know and am customers of THEIRS on Facebook ( these are CHEFS singing the praises of MODS) I was ALL READY TO DIVE IN, as I came to pick up my order, ordered on line, it was HOT AND READY, as promised! I live 5 minutes from this great restaurant so the Pizzas were still hot and my salad still chilled when I got home. Well today in Pasadena the WINDS WERE REALLY UP HIGH. I got out of the car grabbed my purse, salad and pizzas and HERE COMES THE WIND! It blew me against my car and the pizzas went FLYING!! One fell face down in the lot!! Very frustrated I picked it up along with the second pizza that stayed closed! Walked in the house and was ready to give my sob story and BEG for a replacement pizza! I did not have to go any of that, before I could finish, Hoping the manager did not think I was playing games, she apologized, then offered to replace BOTH pizzas, no questions asked! I of course would not ask for both to be replaced since only one fell on the ground but how nice of her to offer! I got there they had another awesome pizza ready for me! I love MOD pizza but this particular location is not the best. The food prep area is not always the cleanest. The workers don't always practice great hygiene. One was working the oven and they were sick so kept sneezing. There was a customer who kept leaning all the way over the glass and point down over the food to pick his toppings. I think employees should be train d to politely ask customers to please not lean against or hang over the glass. Maybe they could say, "please feel free to point and pick your toppings from behind the glass." Or, post signage. The workers are friendly and the food is good and I love the concept but won't visit this location again. The Pearland Pkwy location is much cleaner. read more

This place is very quick and convenient if you want to sit but not for too long and food is also quite delicious as well but the reason I'm giving this restaurant three stars is because of two reasons; one because of the workers attitudes and second because of the baby roaches that I saw on the wall when I finally got my food!!! There's 3 sizes of pizza the small personal size, the Mod pizza size, and a regular pizza size. The Mod pizza is perfect for one person. The place itself is very nice, well decorated, and the customer service is on point. From the greeting you get at the door to the farewell you get when you leave, Mod pizza and it's employees make you feel at home and they are definitely doing all things right. I know this specific location just opened up a few months ago but they are bound to blow up in popularity. Finally a five star pizza chain! If you've read my review of 1000 Deg Pizza or Big Humphrey's then you know I'm a pizza fanatic. Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I have spent tons of money and time trying to perfect the perfect pizza at home. Mod Pizza comes pretty damn close! I'm a thin crust guy. Don't get me wrong I like a good Sicilian deep crust too, but thin cracker style is my favorite. It's a toppings to crust ratio kind of thing for me. Mod has a good thin crust that's thin all the way to the edge with a nice crunch to it. Usually if I am picking up a pizza to go it never makes it to my destination because I hate to let it sit there with the box closed steaming so that the crust loses its crisp. I just eat the thing on the way to wherever I'm headed. Mod's crust, while best if eaten right out of the oven, will still hold up to the drive home. I've only tried the red sauce, but it's good. You can get extra cheese and all the toppings you want for one pretty low price. The toppings are excellent. I had extra cheese, roasted garlic, hamburger, tomatoes and basil. So damn good. The wife had extra cheese, white sauce, green peppers, black olives and hamburger. That's her's in the picture. Mine was gone before it crossed my mind to get a picture. The place is clean and fast. I like it better than 1000 Deg Pizza by far. It's also soy free for those of you that have soy allergies. I don't but my son's girlfriend does so we are always trying to find a soy free place that she can eat when they come to visit. This place has so much potential, but I was really unimpressed in the end. Its like all the components are their and they just cant quite get there on the execution. I had the garlic sticks and the buffalo chicken pizza. The garlic sticks had good flavor, but were so flimsy and had no real substance to them. The pizza toppings were all pretty good, but I swear the dough was raw. At first I thought it was melted cheese, but I soon realized it was raw (or at least extremely undercooked) pizza dough. I do love the flat rate pricing, so I think this place definitely has that going for it. And honestly, I think had my pizza been cooked another 5 min I would have really enjoyed it too.
