I love that Mod Pizza caters so well towards people who have to follow an elimination diet. Every single ingredient is spelled out on their website, so that I can be sure that what I'm eating is safe for me. I can avoid dairy, soy, eggs, gluten, and nuts very easily! Is it the best pizza I've had? No? But it's pretty darn good and considering all my current dietary restrictions, this place is a godsend. I wish the gluten free crust lasted longer without getting soggy. They do warn you that their pizzas are meant to be eaten as soon as they are made so it's fine but for the days we do carry out, the crust doesn't really hold up as well before becoming a bit too soggy. They're decent here. I like their toppings but the one thing is how much of the grease drips off the pizza as you're eating it. Also I wish they would make their slices a bit smaller. Its hard to eat with how big the slices are. I have to constantly be wiping grease and some of the burnt part off my hands from them sliding it around in the oven. Not sure if that's due to them not cleaning the oven or what but there's always some type of burnt crust that rubs off. read more

Like Chipotle but for pizza. The gluten free crust is excellent. My husband and I each get the Mod (11" size). We both love the Caspien (BBQ chicken) and the Bob (white sauce, spicy chicken sausage, cauliflower, etc.). I always ask for extra cheese and sometimes extra toppings. Every single thing is up to you, so just tell them what you want! Yes, no, more, less, how many slices you want, etc. They will make it how you want. And it tastes amazing! read more

This is a good place to get quick choose your toppings pizza. If you aren't familiar with toppings, you might feel a little rushed. The quality is good, although anything extra is a little expensive. Fountain drinks start at 2.17. Eep but they have good options and everything is clean. I would've given a five but we felt rushed when picking toppings. read more

Crust was good, toppings were not! Ordered online and pizza was cold when I picked it up. Toppings were very skimpy, especially the cheese and sauce - told me I needed to ask for extra, should have at least covered the crust :( Considering you can have as many toppings as you want, and at $9 for a vegetarian pizza this was quite pricey, you would think they would be a little more liberal with the sauce and cheese in general. Also didn't appreciate cold raw red onion circles on top - what about chopping them up and cooking them with the pizza. Will try again, only because I believe in giving everyone a second chance. I went for lunch today & loved it. I got a mini pizza, my son got the regular size. We love the fact that you can choose your sauce, the type of meat, the type of cheese, the type of vegetables, and seasonings. The selection was abundant and everything was very fresh. Everyone behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. You can ask for extra cheese or for anything you want on the top of the pizza and it is all a flat price. No upcharging you for anything. Despite it not being in the Taste of Lake Forest booklet, 50% off during that specific 50% off day was an extreme savings. However, it was slow with disproportionate gaps in between customer orders during that specific day. Disregarding any errors done by the staff since the sign said they were training (3-5 errors visually observed not necessarily related to my experience), the pizza came out pretty quickly after being processed. It tasted good with no visible errors. After I left the line was out the door and people were only using one of the double doors to enter. I'll come back during a normal day since that day was just weird. It was like going into Gatten Sushi with all of them shouting greetings. read more

My boyfriend and I are cyclists and love coming here after a ride to refuel. We are here at least once a week. The price is right and I love the multiple options for my custom pizza! Best way I can describe it is as, "ok". It's a brand new building so it's very clean inside. The service was good from most. One gentleman who helped us seemed apathetic but the others were generally helpful and enjoyed their job. The pizza itself is the reason for the lack of stars. The crust was dry and soft, reminding me of a stale saltine cracker. The sauce and toppings were fine, but not enough to make up for the crust. It is sad that the quality control does not happen until after the burned pizzas are delivered. Since they charge a lot for a gourmet pizza, I expect them not to send out a burned crust. Highly recommend for parents with small children! Great experience all the way around. It is hard as a parent to go out to eat because there are many variables that can blow up your dinner and leave you frustrated. I had a GREAT experience on August 13 near 2 p.m. The young guy working was extremely helpful. He let me know all of the different pricing with sizes and add ons. Went back to the store because we were close, only to find that there were a dozen people with the wrong pizzas. The gentleman handing out pizzas was rude, and I understand being stressed, but at the end of the day I can't control which pizza is handed to me. They remade my pizza and I had to wait another 15+ minutes while they remade the several peoples and family's in front of me who also had wrong or missing pizzas. Overall not worth the hassle when there are similar companies with more polite employees and better managing. I really enjoy this place! It's similar to Pieology - build your own pizza for one price. Fresh ingredients and they have a mega which is just double crust, makes the pizza thicker! I tried it and don't quite like it because too much carb! There wasn't a line however the cashier was too quick for us as he wrung up the bill before we could order dessert or drink! I normally can't have pizza because i'm extremely lactose but MOD pizza is perfect since they allow me to customize my own pizza! I personally prefer their thicker dough just because it tastes more like normal pizza to me. The employee that made my pizza was really nice and made the perfect pizza i wanted! Also, you can do half and half which is always nice. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that the bottom of the pizza was a lot more black than I expected and I don't want cancer so it would be nice if the management can look into this :) read more

I love Mod Pizza, and I love that it is right around the corner from my home in Foothill Ranch! I love the service, the kindness of the people who work there, many of whom remember me because I am there so often. I love that I can have the pizza I want, with protein but also an array of veggies. I feel as though I can eat healthy with my purchase (I don't like cooking).
