Our family loves going to Brizio pizza. There is something about the sauce and the way their crust is fluffy and crunchy. This is NOT like a New York pizza, but it reminds me of pizza I used to eat in the 80's- sort of reminiscent of pan pizza from Pizza Hut but without the super greasy crust. The way the cheese gets a bit crunchy and brown is delicious - it comes well done unlike other pizza places where you have to request that. The restaurant is small with a few booths and tables and looks like an older place, but I feel like that's it's charm. There are a lot of photos and plaques on the wall with funny sayings which my kids love looking at and reading while we wait for our pizza. There is arcade game in there too which helps kids pass the time. The staff is friendly and helpful and also gave us free cookies for dessert one time. Our go-to neighborhood pizza spot. read more

As well as their combo #3, which is their Chicago style Italian beef sandwich with Giardiniera and Au Jus for dipping. When the sandwich first arrived, I was hesitant by its appearance. However, when I ate it, it was over the top. The pizza was also amazing with a nice crisp crust edge perfectly amount of everything on it. Fresh pizza made quick! Never tried this place before but had a coupon and hoped to find a new pizza place for our rotation. Ordered a Margarita pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The crust of the pizza was thick and airy and provided a nice chewy bite. There were chunks of diced fresh tomatoes instead of thin slices which was an unexpected twist that worked well. The fresh basil was plentiful and the flavor of their marinara was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised. I do think though our favorite was the cheesy garlic bread with a side of marinara. The only thing we needed was more marinara so we will be sure to order extra next time. The slices of bread were thick and dipped well into the marina sauce. The worst service for a pick up order. Called in 2 pizzas with 1 being half chicken pesto, and half sausage and onion and 1 pizza with pepperoni and 2 sides of ranch. When we went to pick this up, we were told that we ordered three pizzas. One whole chicken pesto, one whole sausage and onion, and one whole pepperoni. When we insisted that's not what our order was, we were met with further insistence that it was. We said that's not what we ordered and repeated back what we did. The cashier then began to tell us that the chicken pesto would be thrown away if we weren't going to buy it. Seemingly trying to guilt us? Then when he saw that we felt bad FOR HIS ERROR, we said fine, we will just pay for the three pizzas. BIG MISTAKE. He mentioned he'd "give us a small discount" for "our" error???? While we waited for the last pizza to be done, he handed us 3 boxes and we then asked about the ranch. He proceeded to argue once more that it costs extra and we acknowledged that we were aware and that was rung up in the order (he just forgot to give it to us). We leave, get home, open the boxes and find a completely empty box in 1! We only received a sausage and onion and a chicken pesto. No pepperoni pizza to be found. Dumbfounding experience as a customer to have to such terrible service and even worse follow through. Abysmal quality of service here. I wouldn't go back if you paid me. We even called to demand that we be compensated for their mistake and were met with more push back. Finally resulted in somewhat of a refund. Won't hold my breath to see if this hits my account. I know I have reviewed Brizio before (probably about 10 years ago), so I wonder where my previous five-star review went? I have been a long time Brizio customer since my dad found this place when they lived in Mission Viejo. With the growth of delivery services, I'm now able to get Brizio delivered to where I live. (There was a short period of time where we weren't.) Everything was consistent and fantastic for numerous years; however, in the past two years, the food quality has been very hit or miss. The last few times in particular have been more miss than hit. We've gone between ordering a half mushroom and half sausage pizza to simply ordering a cheese pizza. When we order anything with mushrooms, it's unbearably soggy. I thought it was due to the drive time of it getting to our house, but even when I pick it up, the mushrooms make it soggy. The last few times with a simple cheese pizza, something about it has been terribly salty. Last week's order was so salty that I ended up throwing it away. (I tried to complain through the delivery app but apparently "I didn't like the flavor" doesn't qualify for feedback being sent to the restaurant. I digress.) Anyway -- it was SO salty. I did eat two slices and ended up waking up in the middle of the night to get water. Garlic bread with cheese does not travel well. It too turned soggy. I specifically ordered through a certain delivery app because you COULD make special requests, even though another app had a discount. On the antipasto salad, I had specified no yellow pepperocinis, as I cannot eat them. My salad came covered in them. Lovely. (I was refunded for the salad since I literally could not eat it.) I do love the antipasto salads (albeit a bit pricey) when they are made-to-order. I've always liked the mixed greens, provolone, salami and pepperoni. Came here after our daughter received a certificate from school for a 9' pizza. What a gem this place is. Located in the Ralph's shopping center, next to Board and Brew. There is ample parking. The 9" pepperoni pizza was crusty and the cheese had the best pull. I am not a pepperoni pizza person but this one is good. We also got 12 chicken wings and they were perfectly seasoned and moist. They do not come with carrots or celery but not needed. The meatball sandwich was average. The server and owner (?) were so attentive and sweet. The anti pasta salad was a standard salad but the veggies were nice and fresh. At the end, they gave us soft, warm and melty chocolate chip cookies on the house for the kids. Food came out fast and hot, which we were grateful for because we had an appt to go to right after. We managed to spill our water not once but four times and they did not seem annoyed by any means. Definitely will add this place to our normal rotation. The kids want to get catering in the future for pool parties. Will have to come back and try the pasta. Not good! I'm not sure why the pepperonis on the pizza I ordered were under the cheese, that defeats the purpose of a traditional pepperoni pizza with crispy pepperonis on top. The pizza was doughy, the cheese wasn't fully melted, and the flavor was bland. I also found it strange that my pizza and wings were ready so quickly after placing my order, it made me feel like they weren't made fresh! Just a simple, thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot to our crew. Then, as we were finishing up, they brought out warm cookies for the kids. Totally on the house.
