The staff was nice, one kid was wearing JNCO jeans... totally awesome throw back LoL! The place was clean and presentable. And the chocolate cake thing...OH MY GOD And the black berry lemonade, really delicious, but could have used less syrup. I added some water and it was perfect. This place has no customer service skills at all. We walked felt like we were putting them out just by ordering a pizza. My son ask the person on picture in regard to the dessert and he had to ask her 3 time and still did not acknowledge him and she just walked a way and grabbed the cookie he was asking about and showed him the size of the cookie. She was very rude all through the whole experience never even had a smile. It is sad because we are moving from Roseville to the area and we thought this would be our go to for pizza but looks like the service is bad. I'm confused... do they close at 9:30 or 8:30??? After looking online we decided to go to the Auburn Mod instead of the Rocklin Mod. BIG MISTAKE. Online it said they closed at 9:30 when we got there at 8:30 the doors were locked. 4 employees stared at us trying to open the doors without any acknowledgment or letting us know they were closed. I try to stay away from chain pizza places, be they economy or upscale ones. I always prefer mom and pop shops or Italian restaurants for pizza. So, I went in, slightly before they were to close, and ordered a pizza. I was wondering, "Okay, what newfangled concept does this place - MOD - feature that I have to 'learn'?" There really isn't a concept or, rather, it's a very simple one. They use a thin crust and, from whatever you see in front of you, they'll put it on the crust at your request. That was it ... and at a fair price. I forgot if there were upcharges for any specialty items, because I don't usually have seafood and such things added to a pizza. The pizza they made for me was very tasty, so I was very satisfied with breaking my rule on chain pizza places and going here to get dinner. The people working at MOD Pizza in Auburn were really helpful and, again, it was close to closing and they probably wanted to go home. The store is very clean, bright, nicely finished, and, as far as what's "mod," there is some reference to things that were "mod," emanating from the hippie-dippy years, and when there was even a detective show called "The Mod Squad." This left a question in my mind: "Which is more 'too cool for school' - the Mod Squad or the Elite Squad?" This MOD Pizza is located on Highway 49 (the Grass Valley Highway) in the shopping center in which Bel Air is the major supermarket. But I would have never paid much attention to that shopping center, and market, if it wasn't for the (Cafe') La Bou that was once there, where a person could enjoy coffee, a pastry, and the weekend paper, sunny 82 degree days, and the crisp air of the foothills when its outdoor seating fronted Highway 49, much like the way MOD Pizza in Auburn is set up today. I am pretty saddened by the fact that more than half of the fast-food grade businesses are quite shitty and MOD isn't much better. I've worked in fast food, I currently work in customer-servicing environments; so I get it. But my experience tonight was absurd. I placed an online order, est. 8:13pm completion time. Cool, whatever works. I get there on time, a little wait is nothing too out of the ordinary anywhere. I am told it'll be 10 minutes to complete my order, which is telling me it wasn't started at all. Cool, whatever. I really didn't care. But while I was waiting, I was listening to two coworkers talk about how terrible the crew tomorrow is... not something you should talk about openingly in front of customers but okay. But it started to get a bit irritating when 10 minutes rolled by, a 8-pizza order was completed, but not my one pizza order. I waited twenty minutes past my expected order time, yikes. On top of listening to how shitty tomorrow's crew is. Practice what you preach, or worry about yourself before you worry about anyone else's work ethic. oh by the way! My pizza's cut is straight up rushed, and butchered. Would you like half of the pizza, or an tenth! ( that's an over exaggeration, but goddamn ) as well as the multiple pieces of olives that I definitely didn't order due to hating them. :)) if I was allergic, I'd need an epipen. The restaurant is always spotless, employees fast and friendly, and food tastes great. This is the newest MOD Pizza to open in our area. Even though I live down the Rocklin, If I'm on my way up the 80 or coming back, I know this is a place to stop for some fast tasty food. Fast not in fast food, but served fast and a real quality product for a inexpensive price. The smallest pizza is a personal one for about $6 and the most popular and best buy in my opinion is the 11 inch pizza for just $8.50. If you haven't heard, you get to choose you own toppings from a huge assortment or meats and veggies and different sauces including pesto and get this, put as many as you like for no extra charge! A 2 topping cheese and pepperoni cost the sane as a 7 topping pizza! I had my doubts about a pizza that comes out in 5-6 minutes and costs just $8.50 for a med size pizza and all the toppings you want for the same price, this had to be a fast pizza about on the level of a frozen pizza. I was so totally wrong and surprised MOD Pizza pulls it off, a tasty product, for cheap and fast. The restaurant is all clean and new and the staff friendly. Just get in line and pick your toppings or pick one of the pre-arranged pizzas if you have trouble making something up yourself. On top of pizza they have beer on tap here. Not just Bud or Coors either, but local micro brews and on Tuesdays, beer is just $2 a pint! for the good stuff! I've yet to repeat a pizza here as I pick my toppings and have something different every time. Some combos work better than others, but you decide. The crust is crispy and tasty as well as the real good toppings and cheeses. One tip: ask then to cut the pizza in 6 slices, cause otherwise they just do 4 slices and those pieces are too big to go into the mouth easily, but cut 6 ways, it's perfect. read more

I have always loved MOD, but the cauliflower crust makes me love it even more. The best part? I can order it for my six year old and he has no idea!! The staff at this location is incredibly nice and helpful. They make sure the pizzas are correct and have always accommodated requests. They are doing a great job taking the pandemic in stride. We've been here three times. The pizzas are great quality, with delicious crust. The staff is friendly and inviting. We did try placing an order online and it was ready exactly when promised. My only suggestion: a few more topping options. I felt a little limited as a non-meat eater. Otherwise, everything else is great... we will be back for more. read more

It great!! Besides the cool pizzas they have already layed out. You can also customize yours by picking your toppings. They build it right in front of you. I did a sausage mushroom pesto on a cauliflower crust which was surprisingly good. They cook pretty fast and the staff is very friendly.
