This place is usually good but last nights pizza was terrible. Almost no cheese, so when you picked up a slice all the toppings just slid off. And it had a strong licorice-type flavor. I'll give them another try. Hopefully this was just one bad pizza. read more

Pizza Express Maidu is awesome. My wife and I found this gem about two weeks ago and have eaten here three or four times since. The paneer tikka masala is so good. The sauce has an out of this world flavor and the paneer has a perfect firmness to it and the. The palak paneer pizza is also equally as good. They do a great job with the pizza crust as well, it's not too thick and well seasoned. The owner and staff are always extra friendly and go out of their way to make you feel valued by using your name when speeding to you and are all smiles. This place should be six stars. At my table we ordered a chicken tandoori pizza and a chicken garlic pizza . We also ordered chicken legs with honey. One of my companion ordered chai. We didn't know if they served chai but they did. While we were waiting, there was a pool table and it was fun. The only downside is that I didn't know how to play pool. So I kinda messed around then got the hang with it. The place was nice and when the food arrived. They told us that it was made from fresh ingredients. Since on the chicken tandoori pizza we ordered garlic crust. It was so puffy and yummy. The chicken wings were great, because honey glazed. After we ate this pizza, it felt like the best pizza I have ever ate. Don't let the sign of this place fool you. The inside is a masterpiece of cheesy goodness. After seeing FB ads for Pizza Express Maidu, I finally decided to give them a try this afternoon. Was greeted pleasantly. I am not a pizza fan, just like a good pizza once in awhile. The gentleman who was there was very nice and informative about their food. I got the small California Express and Chicken Wings. Price was very reasonable. Got my to go order in about 15 minutes. Pizza was nice and hot, had a lot of meat on it. Crust was cooked well, meat had a lot of flavor. Very tasty pizza. The wings were very good too. A variety of sauces to choose from. I only live about 3 minutes from Pizza Express, so this will be my go to pizza place. I like that they have pasta available too. Good job Pizza Express. read more

Yesterday, I was the first customer to try their new Butter Chicken Pizza. It was also my first time visiting the establishment. My husband asked me to order the Tandoori Chicken Pizza, but the owner encouraged me to try his brand-new Butter Chicken pizza, so I did. OMG! It was so delicious! He'd brought it out to me in the takeout box with a plate and napkins. The aroma was heavenly. I took one bite, and it was glorious! We love pizza. We love Indian cuisine. The combination was divine.
