Half pepperoni and half veggie lovers!
    Jeff W.

Stayed in town for my birthday weekend and researched the best pizza in Auburn! Coyote was tasty and came highly reccod. We ordered a to-go and got it half signature veggie lovers and half classic pepperoni! The crust was thick as well and I enjoyed it! The veggie lovers was super loaded with fresh cheese and tons of veggies! It was a dense pie. My girl noted the pepperoni was yum but a little greasy and overall good. I would love to visit again and try this place on a busy Saturday night and eat inside at the restaurant.

My husband saw this place on instagram and so we decided to take a drive here to try it out. Parking here was limited but we were lucky to find parking close by. Upon entering, it reminded me of bars in old Sacramento, which is where we are from. Super cute place and our server was very sweet and attentive. We ordered a small summer spinach salad, personal cheese pizza for my 2 year old, 6 piece wings and a small half and half (coyote supreme and al pastor). The salad was enough for 2 people to share. I love the pickles onions and the green apples on it. It was so refreshing. The wings we got were mango habanero and it wasn't too spicy. It was cooked perfectly and had the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. I also love that it was naked and not breaded. The half and half pizza was absolutely delicious. My husband loved the Al pastor and I loved the coyote supreme. The crust on it was perfect too and of course can't go wrong with cheese pizza. My son loved it. Will definitely be back!

Went here today for lunch and to watch the game! It's a cool little place in a basement. The workers there were very nice and greeted us when we walked in. The place was also clean. We ordered the Hawaiian and pastor pizza which came out good! We did have a longish wait which was the only thing I can complain about and we canceled some of our order due to a high wait time.

Wow! Coyote Pizzeria was amazing. The crust was so light and crispy, but still held the toppings. The pizzas are so cheesy and delicious, I was super impressed. My photos I took of the salad, does not do it justice. The jalapeno ranch was so delicious and really gave the salad a special touch. The night we went in to eat they were having a special where you bought one specialty pizza, you get 1 topping for free so we ended up getting four pizzas. Something to note is that their medium-sized pizzas are 14 inches, which makes them more-filling for the value and price. All the pizzas were delicious, my favorite (as a vegetarian) was the Mediterranean Pizza. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating, the service was great. The restaurant itself is so cute and felt very inviting.

Still great pizza and a good lunch deal. One of the locals saw my pizza box and said she really likes it, too--"something about the crust," she said. The place was empty Tuesday lunch and the server was friendly, but I had to flag her down to refill water. If you want to shop, Thursday-Sunday are the days most stores are open in Old Town.

We stumbled across this literal hole in the wall while in Auburn and I was so impressed with their pizza. They not only had delicious toppings but the crust was so light and airy I even ate the "pizza bones." The service was also very friendly and prompt. Note: if you can't see this place, it's UNDER another restaurant. Cross the street and you'll see it.

We were in the mood for pizza, and located downstairs is Coyote Pizzeria! I think we entered about a soon as they opened the doors. It was still empty. We walked in and were greeted right away by a gorgeous woman with beautiful makeup. I believe her name was Jackie. The setup inside is really nice. Wooden floors, tables in the center. Booths along the walls. A large TV(to watch games). There was a bar top with seats available. They had quite a few beers on tap. Jackie was wonderful, and I loved that when I asked for a suggestion, she suggested the Auburn Chicken Pizza. She also told us the crust to their pizza is super delicious! The pizza here looked unique, and that's what we like. We ordered: Each a 22 ounce of Gummy worms hazy beer Chorizo Pizza - small $24 Red tomato sauce, blend mozzarella cheese, chorizo, red onions, jalapenos. and her recommendation of: Auburn Chicken Pizza - $24 White creamy garlic sauce, blend mozzarella cheese, chicken, bacon, tomatoes, and onions. The pizzas were a work of art! They looked gorgeous and smelled so delicious! We also love to dip in ranch, and their ranch is delicious. We first tried the Chorizo Pizza without the ranch. The most prominent flavor was the jalapenos. We love jalapenos! The Chorizo itself was not as flavorful as we thought it should've been, but still delicious. Then we tried the Auburn Chicken Pizza. That creamy garlic sauce is strong and SO DELICIOUS! The chicken was cooked on there perfectly (bc I can't stand dried out chicken). It was so tasty with the sliced tomatoes on it. As for the crust, it was good. I think if they brushed the crust with garlic butter, it would really stand out and COULD possibly be the BEST crust ever... I absolutely loved my experience here!

The crust! Easily one of the best pizza crusts I've ever eaten. Ordered a personal pizza (Hawaiian with jalapeño), and today's special included a side salad. Great service. Definitely will be back the next time I'm in town!

Located where OTP used to be, we decided to give this place a try on a late Saturday night and were seated in no time. One amazing gal was juggling the front counter, bar, and serving duties! Despite her multitasking, the service was impressively quick and the food arrived piping hot. She informed us about a 20-minute wait for the pizza, which we appreciated. We ordered a 12-piece wings and got to mix and match the sauces--habanero and garlic Parmesan. Yum! They were perfectly crispy! We also tried a small pizza, half auburn chicken and the other half al pastor. While we really wanted to love the al pastor, the red sauce was a bit overpowering. The auburn chicken, on the other hand, was absolutely delightful!

Coyote Supreme Pizza - absolutely delicious!

Had the Coyote Supreme with a Caesar salad on the side. Sooooooooo, goood! Looking forward to going back again next week with the friends that weren't able to make it tonight. Service was great and the ambiance is on a more intimate scale than it's predecessor now is.

Cool looking place, really enjoyed the place, very clean! Awesome server, was very attentive and nice. Breadsticks and pizza were excellent! Will definitely come again.

Trust me, if you love pizza, this will soon be one of THE BEST if not your favorite!!! It is mine and I'm very picky!!!

Stumbling into this establishment, we didn't realize they had already closed, but the guy behind the counter was nice enough to make us a sandwich anyway. Pastrami Kraut Melt 5/5* If sandwiches had dreams, they would be an Auburn Bodega sandwich. They all are both vsually appealing and spectacular in taste. We went with one of their popular sandwiches to try. The pastrami was PACKED in there! The crisp veggies and tart kraut perfectly balanced out the saltiness of pastrami. The green herb sauce, though, is this sandwich's wet dream. It added creaminess, a refreshing palette, and a bit of citrus flavor to amp up this sando tenfold! Warren & Co. Herb Crackers 5/5* Locally made! I checked the labels just to make sure they were local before purchasing. These were unexpectedly so crisp and savory. The lightness of the crackers tasted like you'd get them fresh out of the oven. They were perfectly dusted with flaky salt, rosemary and other aromatic herbs. I got these for charcuterie, but they were so good stand alone that I had them as a straight snack. They had a hefty display case of drinks out back and a small freezer with local goodies like a pot pie. We grabbed some kombucha to wash everything down. I noticed some desserts by the cashier also, and locally made bodycare items, but didn't want to browse any longer and keep them beyond their closing hours. This place is such a local gem. Side note - they prefer being small and local, and asked us not to post their menu on Yelp, since it rotates and people have come to get old sandos that weren't on the menu anymore. I respected their wishes but they were too good not to write about!

The online ordering system was not working - it balked at payment - so I phoned them and ordered that way. On the day, we got a pile of plastic bags each labeled with our name, and inside mine I found my hot sandwich, still pretty warm, inside a foil wrapper. Mine was the Italian melt, lots of different kinds of meat plus provolone and a little onion and pepperocini and a mildly spicy marinara sauce lightly dabbed in. It was not too thick but nicely dense, as well as delicious, with a well chosen mix of ingredients. I didn't want too much bread, so I ordered it on marble rye, and that turned out to be fairly thin, not overwhelming, and also strongly and delightfully flavored. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!
