Another great pizza at Papa Murphy's Grass Valley Highway Auburn. I ordered a Create Your Own and it was fantastic. Gigantic Family Size with tons of toppings. I felt so good bringing that thing home. Also tried the Mediterranean Salad for a change. Very delicious. I needed to reach out to management today, to tell you that, the kid who took my money... The young man I should say, who helped me ? A+ guy. I did not catch his name but it was refreshing to go in there and to be received warmly. As a matter of fact if and when I do go back in to pick up pizzas from this location I look forward to maybe always only seeing him because he gets it. He's great for customer service. Sometimes we tip for great service. Sometimes we tip out of respect and to show that we appreciate the hard work. Every time I go in there I kind of get looked at like a deer in headlights or talked to robotically. Several times now despite my attempts to connect. Along the lines of like I have never been in there before. And I tip well. Last night I encountered somebody that I've never dealt with before and he was warm and kind and AWESOME!! I have been a customer at this location since it opened. Unfortunately, my recent experience has caused me to reconsider my choices. Last week my 96-year-old mother decided she wanted to try a calzone, so I checked the app and gave her the prices $9.00 and off we went to order. She elected the build your own and selected 4 items. Business was slow at the time so order was done within 5 minutes and we left. That night I get a phone call from Mom, she checked her receipt and found she was charged $13.00 for the calzone. I returned to the store the next day and looked at the menu "Build your own calzone $9.00. I asked for manager but they weren't present so I asked the people on duty what's up. They explained $1.00 each item on build your own. I asked why menu did not reflect that and told them that was false advertising. I ended up leaving with a bad attitude and no explanation. read more

If I could rate this locations pizza less than a one, I would do it. It was a simple pepperoni pizza, but neither the cheese or the pepperoni had any flavor AT ALL. It was so bad, we will throw the remainder away. Where I live in Quincy, Ca, the Papa Murphys pizza is amazing! The pepperoni actually tastes like pepperoni, and the cheese also has real flavor. Obviously, this location is using the cheapest ingredients they can find regardless of the franchise requirements. I am amazed they are still in business. read more

I waited 40 minutes past scheduled pick up time for order to be "ready". Actually, in that 40 minutes, I had 4 staff members check. One had the audacity to tell me 20 more minutes on a ticket that wasn't even found in the stack of orders. The 4th employee to check just happened to find my order on the waiting for pick up rack. I was sitting very close and knew they hadn't made them while I was there. So, basically I waited 40 minutes for no reason. The manager, Walt, gave me a superficial apology, and said "go right your letter", when I told him I was very unhappy with their service. Just recently went to pick up my ordered pizzas and I was surprised how dirty it was. There was food all over the counters and on the floor. There was also a young man behind the counter making pizzas with cut off shorts on and a tight cut off tee shirt with his stomach exposed giving orders to the other employees. I assume he was the management at the time. I asked one of the girls working there if there were new owners and she said that there were. I was so disgusted with the appearance of the store and the lack of proper clothing for the manager in charge and his clear "look at me" smile that I won't be returning. It was a Friday afternoon the place was busy and the phone never stopped ringing. The pizza we ordered was the 5 meat stuffed. We enjoyed it the taste was great. While we were waiting for our pizza a lady holding a baby came in to pick up her pizzas. The girl that was taking the orders finished and there was no one in line she took the pizzas out to the car with the lady holding a baby. It was nice to see that she helped her she didn't have to hold the baby and the pizza. The pizza was good but the prep counters had topping scraps all over them. I mentioned it to one kid and he said something about it not being sanitary but made no effort to clean it up. The young men working there weren't very friendly either. The floors are dirty too. This Papa Murphy's is smoking fast!! Been there twice now & in and out in 5 minutes and I'm not talking a call in order nor an empty building. These pizza slingers are doing everything with a smile and appears to be having fun with their co-workers. You know what that means......pizza made with love. What I also love about PM is every time you visit you get a $4 off coupon if your willing to take their few minute survey on line. Now where in the gold hills can you get a delicious family size pizza for $10 bucks or less and it's freakin delicious? I'm digging their chicken bacon artichoke pizza, it's a must try if u eat meat. What I didn't really like was their cookie dough after they were baked. They turned out like little hard nuggets that my friends & I ended up throwing at each other. Decent. You never know your order is wrong until you take it home. No onions doesn't mean put them out of my sight. The guy even read my order back to me, was correct. got there, he repeated it was correct. Receipt was correct. no onions on top. but they were inside the stuffed pizza. Not a huge deal, just annoying. Be consistent! This isn't the first time! People are allergic to stuff, that should be kept in mind when they ask for none of something. read more
