Service was very friendly. Self serve water available. Perfect spot to grab a coffee, frappe, espresso or smoothie. Nice case filled with add on sweet treats. Local art on the walls. Top 10 coffee shop in the nation…read more Typically, they have 3 to 6 single origin coffees available as v60 (pour over), Chemex, French Press, and cupped (when doing tastings. They offer flights, hand made syrups, and plenty of milk and sweetener options. Even their batch brew is Chemex and never actually batch. Periodically, they have special releases, like mead barrel aged coffee or specialty micro lots and innovative processing styles. It's the only shop I know which carries cascara (tea made from coffee cherries). They have excellent baked food from Mr Meowski's, if that's your jam. All coffee is light roasted. There are no exceptions.

It was presentable, colorful, decadent, and difficult to choose any one thing because I wanted to sample it all. From the rosemary goat cheese quiche, to the Hummingbird cake, to slices of pie. I opted to try the macarons. They are my favorite thing. Their macarons are lovely. Just the right amount of crisp and give, the texture has a great chew, and fillings were delicious. Hands down going to become a place I go for macarons. The German Apple Cheesecake was also stellar, just enough tart and sweet to provide balance. I will return to try other things and if you're in the area, check them out!

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!
