By far, this is one of my favorite new places! I wasn't really sure what to get when I got in, but I did see that they had a London fog on the menu. A London fog is usually in Earl Grey tea that has some steamed milk or cold milk and maybe a sweetener. I got a hot London fog and it was delectable. I also got the pecan sticky roll to go with it. The pecan roll was absolutely sticky and sweet and overall just really delicious. Highly recommend getting it warm if they ask you. The barista was extremely friendly, and I found out later that it was the owner that made my drink, which I think is pretty cool and the general manager guided me to get the London fog. Inside is really nice and cozy. Lots of seating whether you wanna sit inside or outside. Definitely can come solo or with a group of friends. If you're in the area above all the other coffee shops definitely make a stop here! read more

Top 10 coffee shop in the nation. Typically, they have 3 to 6 single origin coffees available as v60 (pour over), Chemex, French Press, and cupped (when doing tastings. They offer flights, hand made syrups, and plenty of milk and sweetener options. Even their batch brew is Chemex and never actually batch. Periodically, they have special releases, like mead barrel aged coffee or specialty micro lots and innovative processing styles. It's the only shop I know which carries cascara (tea made from coffee cherries). They have excellent baked food from Mr Meowski's, if that's your jam. All coffee is light roasted. I am a coffee snob and I am so glad I found Course Coffee Roasters. The shop is super cute and quaint located in French Town. They have a nice selection of fresh pastries from Mr Meowski's. A lot of their syrup for their coffee is made in house and it makes such a difference in the quality of the coffee. I got a banana nut latte and it was delicious! The Brazil Pour Over was delicious. The service worker also allowed me to try all 3 cold brew options for a taster. One was Uganda and fruity and the other a nitro which is a more smooth cold brew, followed by a much different cold brew that was less fruity. I am a cold brew fanatic but wasn't keen on these as they weren't deep enough like a cold coffee. But others may love them! I instead opted for the Brazil which was delicious. Inside is cozy! What a wonderful gem. I'd be here more often if I was closer. Brendan is such a gracious barrista. I ordered a brewers choice flight. We chatted while he ground and did pour over of three unique coffees. We also talked beans, skills, and roasting. The brewers choice is the way to go. Brendan gave me three unique flavors. I can't believe I have not posted a review of this wonderful place. I've been a somewhat loyal customer for well over a year. First of all, the space. Located in a small-ish house in the Frenchtown neighborhood of St. Charles, the charm factor is already popping. But they have definitely taken this to the next level with their expansion and remodel at the end of 2020. There's now two halves, each with charming decor and comfy/functional furniture. Plenty of space to enjoy and relax, exactly the way a coffee shop should be. Then there's the coffee. Sarah, Brandon, and Andrew craft the finest beverages from beans they select and roast. Take note of those words: SELECT and ROAST. Their coffee is not whatever a regional or national level roaster selects and happens to be roasting. Their coffee is selected and roasted personally by the owners! Needless to say, this passion and hard work produces some excellent coffee and espresso. Their knowledge of the product is top notch and they are happy to talk to you about different tasting notes and make recommendations, allowing you to sample their coffees along the way. They have also started to feature pastries from Mister Meowskis and Edgewood Bakery. These locally crafted goodies have to be tasted to be believed and are a great match for the level of the drinks they are serving. Simply cannot express too much love for these guys and this place. Whether I'm grabbing a cup to go, or we're making our regular Saturday post-gym session, we are frequent flyers here. read more

This is a place that Frenchtown needed desperately! Walking in to this old house turned quaint coffee shop you'll be greeted by a small sitting area with a bunch of vintage furniture and decor. Seating probably supports 10-12 in non-pandemic times to give you an idea of overall space. They offer all your standard coffee house beverages but also a few unique items as well. One of the best things to get on your first visit is a flight as you can try a variety of their different coffees. They offer both standard cold brew and nitro - you've gotta get the nitro! As far as food goes the do Mr. Meowski's and a few other local bakeries that offer wonderful options. If you're looking to get some beans to go they have you covered there as well and are super proud of what they do and their roasting, and that's a great thing! I believe they're working on expanding into the spot next door as well so hopefully a great place becomes even better! read more

First experience here today, on a Saturday morning a bit after 9am. A family member recommended it, so my wife and I took a 45 min trip here (worth it). Keep an eye out as you're driving by, we missed it on the first ride by. Once you walk in the place feels home like and comfy. It's small, about the size of a living room, with comfy chairs and couches. Very chill. Walk into a separate room to order. They were very friendly and informative. I got a flight (brewers choice on my picks). They had an excellent selection of single origin. I finished the flight on my own , which I don't advise because I'm wired, but the coffee was high quality. I don't know when we'll be in the area again, but if we are this is a must stop. On a side note, cleanest bathroom ever, think of like heaven's bathroom. Highly recommend this spot!!! read more
