I am a coffee snob and I am so glad I found Course Coffee Roasters. The shop is super cute and quaint located in French Town. They have a nice selection of fresh pastries from Mr Meowski's. A lot of their syrup for their coffee is made in house and it makes such a difference in the quality of the coffee. I got a banana nut latte and it was delicious! By far the best latte I have had in a long time and super unique. Course Coffee Roasters is defintley worth checking out!

Brazil Pour Over

The Brazil Pour Over was delicious. The service worker also allowed me to try all 3 cold brew options for a taster. One was Uganda and fruity and the other a nitro which is a more smooth cold brew, followed by a much different cold brew that was less fruity. I am a cold brew fanatic but wasn't keen on these as they weren't deep enough like a cold coffee. But others may love them! I instead opted for the Brazil which was delicious. Inside is cozy! Don't mistake the outside small feel for lack of seating as they have two rooms with plenty. Great staff as well!

Such a neat coffee shop. My son and I came here to get coffee. Very unique decor inside. Small menu but everything you could want. It is not like a well known coffee stop so please be patient. Keep in mind it can take some time to get your order. We offered three coffees and it took about 15 minutes. We ordered a vanilla, mocha and cherry flavored ice coffees.

Toasted marshmallow latte (seasonal)

Cute little coffee shop on Main St. in St. Charles. We tried the toasted marshmallow latte and the bourbon latte (both seasonal drinks) and they were good! Not too sweet and presentation was really nice. It's a nice place to study or just hangout and chat. There are 2 rooms so usually there is enough seating. Very warm and cozy!

They serve flights! And their syrups are house made! Soooo good!

Course Coffee Roasters is a MUST!!! They serve delicious coffee sourced from around the world. They make their own syrups which only add to their already delicious coffee they roast themselves! The vibe is so chill and it just makes you want to slow down and enjoy the little things. The owners are so kind and helpful. They serve pastries from a local bakery. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I would call this an experience and you should definitely check it out!

This place is a favorite of my husband and I's on a Sunday morning walking around French town. In addition to coffee they have good local teas. They have a good selection of coffees and some pastries. A must try!

Best. Coffee. Period.

This coffee shop is the quench essential idea of a very friendly delicious comfortable coffee shop. Not pretentious at all. Perfectly decorated like your favorite cozy rooms. You feel at home and not pressure to leave. But again everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. Coming back again and again.

Get your caffeine cravings filled at this relatively newer coffee shop in the French town area of Saint Charles, Mo. No free refills but $1 off your second fill up. Great location and setting just North of downtown historic St. Charles.

We ordered iced Thai Chai Lattes--delicious! The scone was authentic and not too sickly sweet. The baristas are personable, helpful, and sweet. I'll be back!

A flight of brewers choice
Vince L.

What a wonderful gem. I'd be here more often if I was closer. Brendan is such a gracious barrista. I ordered a brewers choice flight. We chatted while he ground and did pour over of three unique coffees. We also talked beans, skills, and roasting. The brewers choice is the way to go. Brendan gave me three unique flavors. All were good. I'll be buzzing all day! The environment is very laid back and cozy. Since it is an old brick home sounds do carry but not too bad. Nice to know there is a place good coffee and good conversation go together.

Absolutely fantastic and angelic little coffee shop! One of the most intimate, cozy, and chill coffee house environments I've experienced in quite some time. Love the ambience and layout of the place. Super clean, even the bathroom :) The coffee was absolutely delish as well. I got the flight - 3 coffees. All were perfectly roasted and bursting with immense flavor. There is an abundance of choices from which to choose! If traveling through the area or even if you're a resident of St Charles, you will not be disappointed in what CCR has to offer. A near perfect example of what a coffee shop should be! Well done CCR!

Character abounds

I can't believe I have not posted a review of this wonderful place. I've been a somewhat loyal customer for well over a year. First of all, the space. Located in a small-ish house in the Frenchtown neighborhood of St. Charles, the charm factor is already popping. But they have definitely taken this to the next level with their expansion and remodel at the end of 2020. There's now two halves, each with charming decor and comfy/functional furniture. Plenty of space to enjoy and relax, exactly the way a coffee shop should be. Then there's the coffee. Sarah, Brandon, and Andrew craft the finest beverages from beans they select and roast. Take note of those words: SELECT and ROAST. Their coffee is not whatever a regional or national level roaster selects and happens to be roasting. Their coffee is selected and roasted personally by the owners! Needless to say, this passion and hard work produces some excellent coffee and espresso. Their knowledge of the product is top notch and they are happy to talk to you about different tasting notes and make recommendations, allowing you to sample their coffees along the way. They have also started to feature pastries from Mister Meowskis and Edgewood Bakery. These locally crafted goodies have to be tasted to be believed and are a great match for the level of the drinks they are serving. Simply cannot express too much love for these guys and this place. Whether I'm grabbing a cup to go, or we're making our regular Saturday post-gym session, we are frequent flyers here.

Great customer service, atmosphere, and coffee! My partner and I went and got recommendations from the staff. We got a flight and sparkling water to drink in between each sample. Sizes for the coffee in the flight is generous. This is high quality coffee, will be back!

The next day I ordered just the blueberry muffin, vanilla lavender shortbread cookie, and a hot latte to go. And you can tell, by peering into the cases, the time and passion it took to make everything. It was presentable, colorful, decadent, and difficult to choose any one thing because I wanted to sample it all. From the rosemary goat cheese quiche, to the Hummingbird cake, to slices of pie. I opted to try the macarons. They are my favorite thing. Their macarons are lovely. Just the right amount of crisp and give, the texture has a great chew, and fillings were delicious. Hands down going to become a place I go for macarons. The German Apple Cheesecake was also stellar, just enough tart and sweet to provide balance. I will return to try other things and if you're in the area, check them out!

The inside of the café, it was super cute. Lots of tables and open space for working or catching up with friends. They had a lot of yummy looking baked goods to choose from. I got the Matcha X Matcha from the 2026 winter menu. It was the perfect amount of sweet but still being able to taste the Matcha, which I really appreciate. I also got a cherry danish that was soo good. And if you tried love to try a flavored Matcha or some of their coffee. After I ordered the drink and pastry came out super quick, which was really exciting. Sometimes small cafés take a while to make drinks, especially Matcha. I will say the barista was nice, but not super friendly or talkative. I might've asked some more questions about the Matcha options, but it didn't seem like she wanted to have a conversation. I get not everybody is super chatty and she was a good barista, but I think being a little bit more outgoing makes a barista great. Overall 10/10 will be coming back if I'm in the area.

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area!…read more It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!
