This was our secind visit and we were pleased both times. My friend said their coffee is divine. I appreciate that the matcha isn't sweetened. We bought a piece of espresso pound cake to share. While we couldn't taste the espresso it had a great taste to it, almost a little lemony. The space is welcoming with seating indoor and out. The coffee here is really great. I got the Ethiopian macchiato light sweet. It was beautifully presented and the flavor was delicious. I think there was some sort of almond syrup or flavoring and it complemented the coffee so well. The counter staff were also incredible. Eager to answer questions and gave very helpful advice. The only thing disappointing was my bear claw. The croissant was too soft, no crispy exterior and the filling was lacking in flavor a bit. The place is very easy to get to with ample parking and the decor of the shop is very nice. I will definitely be back to try some of their other coffees! read more

Another local coffee shop option in the books for me to visit when I am in the Maryland Heights area. Came here with a group of women for a meet up event and everyone liked their orders. Friendly and warm employees from the moment we walked in. The art portraits on the wall are a personable touch to the customer experience while we are seated at one of the tables. Open space and did not feel cramped/ not confined. It also appears the staff put effort and love into each order. I was in awe with the heart design on my cafe latte I held off drinking it until I started to realize the drink would become cold. Almond croissant had a generous amount of icing along with almond filling and fixed my sweet tooth for the day. I will continue to support our local coffee shops like Ethio Coffee. read more

Met my friend from high school for coffee and chat. So hot outside this morning at 9am. Coming inside Ethio Coffee shop, it was cool inside and nice atmosphere with Ethiopia theme and culture. My friend ordered drip black coffee. I had latte with almond milk. Latte was very good. We didn't get chance to eat but we chatted for hours and had great time. What a bunch of great staff! We joined them for morning coffee once, then the next day when we revisited them, they remembered our order! Great selections, beautifully prepared breakfast items, and even better coffee. Comfortable tables and chairs and nice surroundings. The only improvement I would suggest is not to fill the store with the smoke of roasting coffee beans. Walking in, the first thing you smell is freshly brewed coffee. It smelled amazing. Staff is great at making connections with customers. Guy who took my order was awesome and was able to inform me about their different coffee and drinks. The Milky Way Latte was AMAZING and the cinnamon roll was delicious. 1st time visiting and I surely will be back. Staff was nice and this place is definitely the real deal when it comes to Ethiopian coffee. I mean they even have a rekebot( coffee station) in the middle of the store. I should have took more pictures. Next time tho! I keep it simple : a 12oz drip coffee. First time in. What friendly service. The gentleman at the counter recommended the Ethiopian Macchiato and this lovely balanced drink did not disappoint! We then grabbed breakfast sandwiches. Talk about the perfect breakfast after a red eye flight. My friend ordered the turkey sausage sandwich and I ordered the brisket. Both were gone in a matter of moments. This place has become a weekly routine for my husband and I. It has opened my eyes to the world of coffee. The dulce de lache tastes so silky and rich and glides down the gullet so smooth. I think I have a new favorite coffee spot! This is a black owned business serving Ethiopian style coffee. The decor had a warm pleasant vibe with traditional Ethiopian cups and paintings. The owners were very pleasant to talk to and really takes their time to make good quality coffee. I asked for a recommendation and they recommended me to get the Ethiopian Macchiato. Forget Starbucks get your coffee here. This coffee shop has genuine coffee from Ethiopia and served by Ethiopians. The coffee is delicious and they have very good pastries. The St Louis coffee scene is not good. I travel a great deal and usually cities have several good, of not great coffee places, for the road warrior travels to choose; not so in STL. Ethios IS the coffee option in STL. Locally owned and operated by two sisters, absolutely great coffee, unique Ethiopian coffee and they actually roast the coffee out in the open and the place smells amazing. Been going here for years. Consistently good coffee. I always get a drip and an espresso and have never been disappointed. One time they were roasting in the cafe and I had Ethiopian style coffee with them, such a treat! Only thing I wish they would do is add a pour over option because their beans are so good. If I worked remotely or were still a student, I'd be here all the time. Ethio's has such cozy cafe vibes and has amazing drinks. The owner truly cares for the quality of the drinks, and you really can't go wrong with what you order. My last order was their chai latte, and I can't emphasize just how top notch it was. It is easily one of the best chair lattes I've ever had. I was only disappointed that they don't come in larger sizes.
