My engine light suddenly came on a few days ago and then the engine started to make a funny noise. Due to a combination of a crazy schedule and having been frustrated with my most recent experiences with local dealerships, I decided to try out Mobile Mechanic. It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way. I was on my way home on Xmas Eve and my car gave out going north on 5. I was trying to find a mechanic that was available to take in my car but it was so difficult given the time (3PM) and holiday. I was lucky to get in contact with Will from Mobile Mechanic! He said he was unable to help me since it was already late BUT he can help me next day (Xmas) 8AM. I was able to have my car towed in a residential area and went back to OC with my bf for the night. Next day, we went to my car and Will met us there. Problem was my alternator which I figured. Will went right to work but it was a joy speaking with him while he was working. I personally like learning how to fix things along with my bf so it was a great experience. He also checked my battery terminals and fixed one of them just to make sure I would be good to drive back home to my family (3hrs away). Originally, I needed a tow because I thought my alternator was out. Had two gentlemen come and he first suggested he take a look at the battery before they haul it, which I'm very thankful for because it turned out to just be the battery terminals! He said that he could come back later on that day to replace them, and he would charge me $90 for the whole thing. My only issue was when the time came around for him to come back, he kept pushing the time back. I had something to do, so I just paid him $50 for basically a diagnostic and went Jiffy Lube, who replaced them for free. Overall, not a bad experience, I just wish the communication was better. read more

The Car Battery God is unforgiving this morning... Two cars with completely dead batteries are parked on my driveway... WILL to the rescue. I am in South Pasadena, and he arrived 45 minutes after receiving my call. My man Will and his associate are super super nice and kind guys. He changed the battery in my Lexus CT200h just like that. Another car parked on the driveway had starting issue, and I suspect battery problem as well because the engine clicks when I turn the key. He diagnosed it and found the amperage is too low, and it is a bad battery that needs to be replaced as well, but I that car is under warranty so I will be taking that to the dealership. 10/10 recommend! Friday: I was 5 miles from my house and my battery light went on. Saturday: my car didn't start. I called AAA and they informed me my alternator and battery were dead. I would need to get a tow to a mechanic. I looked on Yelp for a mechanic opened on Sunday and found Mobile mechanic. I sent a request for a quote thought Yelp and 2 hours later, I got a reply with a quote and availability for Sunday! Sunday: Will emailed me saying he had a cancellation and was able to come early. He called me 20 mins before his arrival. He went straight to work. I went into my house and did what I had to do. It took him about 3 hours to replace my alternator and battery. He suggested I change my belt and he drove to the store to buy me a new one. He didn't charge for the labor but just the part. That was nice of him! Highly suggest him! So kind, respectful, honest, punctual, and the fact that he can come to your house... it saved me time and money to get a tow!! Last week i called for diagnostic on my car and some work to be done they scheduled time date Confirmed via text as well then when date came they were no show no answer no text back. But i know its work something always happens so i waited few days called them back and they told me his phone calendar god deleted and he did not see my appointment witch seemed like a lie because i texted them and called to confirm. But anyways i said ok give me new date. They gave the date time they apologized for the wait but comes the day and no show again. Called and texted multiple times and no answer. We all have jobs and things to do we can sit around and wait. If you cant make it just let us know that you cant so we can go on doing our things. He ghosted me. We had the initial phone call, which was pleasant, and scheduled an appointment for one week later to get my RV started. He mentioned that he would call the day before to confirm. The day before the appointment he did not call so I called him, vm was full but there's an option to send your number as a text, so I did. Didn't hear back but I didn't worry too much about it. Our appointment was for 3-4pm. At 4:15 I called, it went to voicemail but then he called back. I answered and I could tell right away he'd only called me by accident. I could hear him there and sporadically talking to someone. Ok... so I hung up and tried again, he let it go to vm. I sent him a text, and left a message through the website asking if he is coming, neither were acknowledged and he never showed up for the appointment. I waited a few days before leaving this review just in case he wanted to call and explain or reschedule, but there's been no acknowledgment at all. During our initial phone call he made sure to mention a $175 fee if he shows up to diagnose the problem but I don't use his services to fix the problem. I can only assume that fee is to ensure that his time is respected. Why not then extend the same courtesy to your clients? My RV is not parked at my house so when all was said and done I wasted 5 hours of my only week day off this month waiting around for someone who never had any intention of showing up. Don't waste your day like I did and find someone who respects your time. read more
