I ordered a used replacement from eBay and after it arrived I looked for a body shop that could install it. After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

I was not able to go that week, however the following week I was nearby so figured I would just stop by and see if he could service my vehicle, but let him know I needed my car back by a certain time. He called about an hour before I needed it saying they were wrapping up and shared the final price which ended up being a few dollars less than the original estimate. Car felt great and we will be returning for any future maintenance needs. Great service, fair pricing and great, clear communication.

I needed new brake pads but he told me I have 2000 miles left in it and to not waste my money by getting it replaced while I was getting my oil changed. Back when I lived in Atwater Village, I brought them my old 2006 Corolla. I consider myself a pretty capable DIYer, so if there was ever a problem that required significantly more time, labor, or diagnosis than I could reasonably handle, I took it to Affordable Care. They consistently did honest, high-quality work at fair prices. But what really won my loyalty, and what has stayed with me to this day, was Stacey's EXCEPTIONAL communication and honesty. He had a way of explaining problems that helped me understand both the issue itself and the scope of the repair. One experience in particular left a lasting impression on me. I had a stubborn check engine light that took over a month to properly diagnose after multiple attempted fixes. When they finally tracked it down to a failing charcoal vapor canister, Stacey told me he would not charge me for the part or the labor because of how difficult and drawn-out the process had been and because of the expense I had already incurred. I respected him immensely for that. He more than earned my loyalty. Over the next few years, I brought the car back for other issues, including transmission and clutch work, starter problems, and other repairs. Even after I moved to the San Gabriel Valley in '18, I still fought traffic just to keep bringing my car to them. That says a lot! I have since sold that old, trusty Corolla and now drive an EV. I do not believe Stacey works on EVs, but I genuinely wish there was a Stacey for EVs. Stacey and Charles are, hands down, the best tradesmen I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I am very glad to see from recent reviews that they still seem to be providing the same level of quality and integrity. If you have a Honda or Toyota in need of repairs, you would be lucky to have them work on it.

Very thankful that they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule and take care of my car efficiently with friendly service! I was also repeatedly reminded of the 200 mile policy. something that might have been helpful if there had been any urgency in addressing the issue. Because I rely on my car for work, I naturally exceeded that mileage within the first week... while still waiting for a follow-up that never came. I was told someone would get back to me after speaking with a manager, but that call never happened. Now I'm left with four expensive tires I'm unhappy with, and the sense that this situation could have been easily resolved with basic communication and timely follow through. Disappointing experience overall, especially considering how much I spent. So I don't recommend this place because of the lack of trust.

It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way. Will clearly cares and takes great pride in what he does. He's the only person I will be going to for my automotive service needs from now on. Highly recommended.

Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

Had to leave the car at a gas station because AAA didn't have a tow truck for me at that hour. Told me it'd be 5-6 hours.... Not cool so left the car and went home via uber. Next day I get to the car but before I did, at 10:50am AAA told me a tow truck would arrive between 11:45-12:45. Great. Got to the car at 11:20am, and waited and waited and waited. Was assigned to a tow person which btw the reception extremely rude over the phone, told me it'll be actually another 2-3 hours, and then never called or communicated with me. Hung up on me. I ended up going rogue and called Fernando Towing. Owner answered and told me a flat fee and they'd be there in 20 min. Understanding of my situation, SUPER nice, and straight to the point. I told him I needed them here by 1pm because the gas station manager was going to tow the car. Fernando towing said no problem! We'll be there before then. Said and done! Immediately relieved the stress I was having. Of course the towing company AAA assigned came 10 min before Fernando Towing did. I said nope sorry - I canceled already, and your people were rude. Also there was no communication on where you guys were so I hired someone else, sorry! Thanks but no thanks! They ended up leaving. Jose was the worker who helped and he was very very very kind and understanding as I was having a tough day even before this car situation. Chris truly is the best mechanic, best and kindest man I've ever met in my 56 years on earth. I say this because my car wouldn't start and I knew I was having starter problems but I put a new one in and it didn't work so I called Chris around 8:30 a.m. and told him what was happening he said he would be at my house between 12 - 1 and he was right on time and got to work. He found the problem and was kind enough to give me a ride to the parts store to get the correct starter. He installed the starter and fixed a couple other things on the car and was finished by 2:30 his price is unbelievably fair actually he is cheap for what he does. I read all the other reviews about Chris and couldn't believe someone could be so nice as and caring in today's world so I gave him a try and all of the reviews were exactly right when describing him. He ed Ben gave me his card and told me to give him a call anytime if I had any questions about how I should fix something on my own he said he would walk me through it. I feel very lucky to have found a mechanic as skilled, fast, dependable and friendly as Chris. On a Saturday afternoon, I discovered my antique 1922 car Nash had a fuel leak. I went on-line looking for a mechanic in the Los Angeles area who might make house calls and Yelp pointed me to Chris. I called, Chris answered immediately and told me he'd come by first thing Sunday morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem (leaky fuel hose, and a fuel pump that needed to be remounted), had me slide under the car so that he could point it out to me. Chris had the correct fuel hose with him, remounted the fuel pump in such a way that the hose would no longer crimp, headed off to an autoparts store to get a new fuel filter, then quickly returned and finished the job. His work is solid and elegant, he explained what he was doing every step of the way, and his price was exceedingly fair. I am holding on to Chris' card and would call him again in a second for a problem with a car of any make, model or age. read more

I highly recommend Chris! I found him via Yelp and an internet search and asked if he'd come that afternoon to assess a used car I was considering to purchase. He came, was on time and was very thorough and objective. He communicated his findings to both me and my husband and gave us his thoughts on if the car was worth buying. He saved us from buying a car that needed thousands of dollars of work! I found him to be pleasant, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, honest and trustworthy. He charged $95.00 for his work which I believe is a fair price. We liked him so much that we called him to come look at 2 other cars we were considering to purchase and he did just as good a job each time. I really like him and fully endorse him. About 8 years ago, I was starting to notice some brake issues and brought it to a mechanic who preformed a terrible quickie repair job which resulted in my car smoking pretty heavily by the time I got back to my neighborhood from all the brake fluid he leaked all over everything. Pulled up to Chris's garage in a panic. He cleaned everything up, let me know what was really going on, fixed it. My 96 S500 Benz had a hood latch problem, when I looked up online there wasn't much solution despite so many people having the same problem, so I ended up calling Chris even though I mostly DIY things on cars in general. And I found these yelp reviews to be true because he got it figured out, opened the hood, identified and fixed the problem within an hour. He even did it in a very clever way no one seemed to suggest online, which tells me he's a guy with real experience. I called Chris at 7:30 on a Friday night expecting to make an appointment for the next day, but Chris was willing to meet me at my house that night, and was there within half an hour. In the dark he correctly diagnosed the problem with my '77 Datsun (bad ignition module), I ordered the part myself and he came by a few days later to install it. Car started right up. I went to Chris to get my car fixed because it had problems starting from time to time. He diagnosed the car and explained to me in detail about whats wrong with it (the battery) he ordered me a new battery and installed the battery very quickly. Also, he checked the oil level and water level on my car and gave me advice on how to take care of my car better. My car has been running great with no problems! Absolutely an amazing find! I have a 72 corvette and I am always nervous to have a mechanic I don't know to work on my old classic car. Chris came out to my house same day! Got the car running and was incredibly professional. My friend Aileen recommended Chris to me. I was a little bit not sure but to my amazement Chris was the best. He took care of my car and check everything. Even the missing clips or screws underneath the car so that my bumper is not loose coz i hit a wall. Change my oil and had my transmission flush. I was looking for a Pre-Purchase Inspection and Chris is an amazing Mechanic. The pre-owned car that I wanted to purchase from a dealership, didn't provide the most detailed CarFax history. Chris was able to point out everything in the car, including the previous accidents that it had. The car was in perfect condition because it had been fixed and polished. But he was able to confirm that the accidents it had were minor ones after thoroughly inspecting it. read more

Got on a call with him to give him the info needed, he then took the lead to organize the meet up with the private seller and I awaited his final report. That debrief call was one of the most memorable aspects to this experience as it's very obvious how much of a car enthusiast Adam is. At the inspection itself..... wow. Adam is a car psychic. Based off some very slight paint differences he said the car had a prior accident that the seller didn't know about. He was 100% right. The seller was surprised, called the previous owner, and the previous owner confirmed on the spot that there was an undisclosed accident exactly where Adam said it was. I didn't end up getting the car. Adam's estimate was thousands less than the asking price. He handled most of the talking and by the end the seller wasn't even angry about the valuation he made. He made it a pleasant and easy experience for all of us. He's the best!

The last time that I went there for a scheduled oil change, they told me I needed things that I had just paid for several months prior. So, either I paid for services that they didn't perform or the Land Rover Service Center mechanics just checks off a list without inspecting my vehicle to determine if the service is actually needed. Very dishonest! Who knows how many years I was paying for services that I didn't need......... I started my YELP hunt for a new place to service my SUV. After much research and reading many reviews I chose MBZ West. I called Kevin and made an appointment. On the day of my appointment everything went smoothly. Kevin is very nice. I replaced the brake pump/accumulator in my 2007 Prius and now the Prius would not start. Avi was…read moregoing on vacation so did not have time to look at my car. Instead he told me what to look for that would cause this problem based on his experience. Sure enough it was one of the things he told me about I had done. I fixed the bent contacts with a pliers and THE CAR STARTED AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE GONE! I called another shop that worked on hybrids and when I told them the car had 345K miles on it they did not even want to look at the car but tried to refer me to some other shop. Avi has helped me over the phone at least 5 times, Oil burn issue (got another 18k miles out of an engine that was burning so much oil it fouled the plugs in a mile), replacing engine and now replacing brake pump/accumulator. The only time I actually paid him was to fix the display in a 2nd gen Prius. I Fed Ex the display to him. Avi personally delivered the fixed part on his way home so I would get it a day sooner.

I would avoid this business at all cost if you're trying to get anything done. His neighbors are more honest and trustworthy and they were able to fix my issue with no problems.
