Julio was so responsive, even on a Sunday, ready to assist, open with his pricing, and he even helped with finding the right part. He goes over and beyond, and I would not hesitate to call him again. If you're considering buying a used vehicle, he also offers Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) services which could really help you to protect yourself from buying a car with major and/or minor problems you would not be able to detect. Give Julio a call...you won't regret it. read more

Julio was a lifesaver when I needed a PPI at the last minute, on a Sunday no less! I'd purchased two other pre-purchase inspections with separate companies just a few days prior, and was unimpressed with their services, so I was hesitant to try again. But after I found a car I was really excited about and wanted to move quickly (because of how hard it was to find), I decided to give it another shot. I could not be happier with that decision! Julio text me the moment he arrived at the dealership and immediately sent over SO many pictures (which I referenced countless times during the purchasing process). He gave me an incredibly detailed report that covered exactly what I was concerned about, suggested some maintenance that the car may need within the next 6-12 months, and gave me his honest evaluation overall, which was greatly appreciated since I couldn't easily drive out to see it in person. The cost was more that either of the other two inspections I'd purchased, and I would 1000% do it again! The peace of mind it brought my family was worth every penny! Thank you so much Julio, I couldn't be happier with the car I purchased, thanks largely to your inspection. read more

Julio was awesome! He was incredibly thorough and spent a lot of time with me to help me with a pre-purchase inspection. He also gave me some advice with the dealership that I was dealing with and warned me they do not usually negotiate on price. By the end of the inspection he was willing to tell me whether this car had too many problems for me. It was money well spent, in fact it will be hard not using Julio again! Thanks Julio! read more

Highly recommend! I needed a new battery and AAA came out and said they couldn't replace on my car. Julio was out within an hour and my car was running shortly after. Friendly, quick, and highly competent. And cheaper than taking it to the dealership. I'll be calling again next time I need help. read more

Stellar service from a super knowledgeable car enthusiast!! I am so grateful to have connected with Julio who completed a pre-purchase inspection for me. I received a prompt response to my initial inquiry and completed the PPI the same day. He gave the car a truly *thorough* inspection, providing several videos and numerous high quality images along with the full vehicle scan report. Afterwards I received a call and we spoke at length with Julio taking time to review his findings including his assessment of the test drive and further took time to share insights into the vehicle's potential longer term care/needs. At the end of our call, he encouraged me to look into all the topics we discussed to ensure I am making a fully informed decision on top of providing a second opinion - awesome service, awesome provider. read more

Dave is an excellent mechanic! He identified and repaired an electrical issue originally caused by another inept mechanic, in about 20 minutes, then identified a problem with another of my cars in about 3 minutes. Reasonably priced ed for the great work. read more

I performed a search online for a good mobile mechanic, and Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts came up as a highly reviewed business. I contacted Julio through text, and he responded immediately to the text I sent inquiring about needing my car checked. He truly listened to the issues I was having. I felt lucky to have that experience, as car issues aren't something I'm well-versed in. He knew immediately what the issue was as he was performing the diagnostic tests. He was incredibly thorough, and it turned out to be a battery replacement that he already had on his truck. The whole thing was done quickly and with real care. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it ended up being. And there was zero upsell. He actually took the time to give me advice on how to save money and maintain my car going forward. The kindness and patience he brought to the whole experience really stuck with me. Julio genuinely saved my day and I'm so grateful I found him. My car is now running so smoothly without issues. read more

Julio was amazing. I had an extremely corroded battery terminal wire that I was sure would need to be completely replaced. He came prepared, assessed the situation quickly, and somehow fixed what I thought was impossible without replacing the entire cable. His communication was great from start to finish. He explained what he was doing, showed up on time, and handled the repair professionally and efficiently. It's rare to find someone that skilled and honest. I highly recommend Julio and will definitely call him again if I need anything. read more

Very honest very helpful. He couldn't review my car but he gave me excellent information for free over the phone.

I Highly recommend Julio! He is amazing. My husband and myself have had him working on our cars for the past couple years. We find him to be honest, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! He also takes the time to explain how things work in my car as well as teaching me how to top off my oil, etc . For when I go on long road trips. I cannot say enough good things about him. Julio is an absolute JEM . And someone you should have in your roster of people to call when you need help. read more

I needed a quick PPI inspection and texted Julio, who came to my apt with his mobile van service within a few hours. I had a battery issue with my cayenne. service was great. Definitely recommend! 10/10

This service is a MUST whenever you are in need of a reliable, honest, and efficient mechanic!! Julio is the absolute BEST!! My car was not starting at all, so I couldn't take it to a garage. I reached out to Julio and he immediately replied to my inquiry and answered all of my questions clearly. Within no time, he was at my place, ran a diagnostic on my car, picked up the part needed, installed the part, and had my car running. He did a thorough inspection inside and outside and made sure that I understood the entire process and pricing. Speaking of which, the cost was far better than I expected - especially given the convenience of having him come to me. Julio is truly a gift!! And a favorite of my neighbors, as well!! I will definitely be calling upon Julio anytime I am in need of any automotive assistance. read more

Julio was amazing. He came to two dealerships to look at cars for me. He was thorough. Went through every part of the cars. He taught me a lot about how car salesman and car dealerships work. He needs to have a podcast to teach women and anyone else who doesn't know what the process is. Outstanding service. read more

Messaged Julio for assistance with a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), and glad I did! He not only provided me with the confidence to negotiate a used-car price, but ended up saving me thousands. I did not end up making the purchase and walked away since we could an agree on a price after the PPI. Julio provides you with a thorough and factual perspective. Super quick and amazing service! Fair pricing. Needed one of my battery terminals replaced and Julio had my car fixed and running in less than 15 mins. Topped off fluids and air in my tires. Julio is the best! Very quickly was able to come to my apartment and replace my battery. Not only that, but he took the time to explain everything to me because I was curious. An infinitely better experience than going to any linoleum-clad hellscape of an auto shop waiting room. read more

Julio provided wonderful service and consultation. I had a small issue with the hood and decided to text Julio based on all of his excellent Yelp reviews. Julio came over quickly and addressed the issue within minutes. He also gave me some great tips about servicing my vehicle and confirmed my suspicions that I had been over-servicing my car by taking it to the dealership and paying way too much for unnecessary services. Julio was kind, patient, and straight forward in answering all my questions. Going forward, when I have a car issue, I'll be reaching out to Julio! read more

This was a great service. Julio came out to replace our car's dead battery, and somehow he was able to do it within a couple hours, but he was knowledgeable and friendly and worked efficiently. Plus he was able to handle all the communication and information-gathering via text, which made things very convenient (for both sides, I'm sure.) (Also fun bonus -- he texted me to say he'd arrive at 1:48pm, and he was exactly on time. So much better than others who give you a three-hour window and then show up late anyway!) Will definitely call them again when needed. read more

"You brought me out to give you the facts." - Julio Julio saved me a ton of money and anxiety. We had a couple of buyers interested in a car we had sitting in front of our house. One of the buyers gave me their own assessment of the car, but for obvious reasons we wanted a 3rd party assessment. The car was in relative disrepair since the beginning of the pandemic, so I knew it wasn't in great shape. I just didn't know the specifics. I reached out to Julio after reading other reviews and I'm glad I did. He ran diagnostics (twice after finding a loose electrical cable in the engine bay), took the car for a test drive, and gave me some great recommendations to rehabilitate it since the car's original purpose was to be my wife's learning vehicle. I came into the whole situation thinking that I'd be spending more than what the car was worth in repairs, in the end Julio showed me (with evidence!) that all it needed was about 100 miles and a set of fluid changes. read more

Was dealing with what I assumed to be battery/electrical issues with my car all weekend, ended up taking my car to a mechanic shop locally where of course my check engine light randomly turned off, was told they couldn't do anything unless the light is on even though I could tell something was off with my car, decided to go to auto zone to buy the battery myself, long story short ended up buying the wrong battery, was referred to Julio What an amazing experience, the man shows up like a super hero to save the day, runs diagnostics on my car which confirms everything I was noticing which was electrical and battery related issues, go figure my car has multiple batteries and Julio was able to figure out which one was giving me problems, took care of it right then and there promptly with amazing professionalism and customer service! Will be recommending him to friends and colleagues alike!! Thank you again Julio you rock if I could give him 10 stars I would! read more

Thorough job doing a pre-purchase inspection and was communicative with the results, highly recommend

I came across Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts online and decided to go with them for a pre-purchase inspection of a classic 1959 Chevy Apache truck. Julio arrived early and immediately started his inspection. I was very impressed and grateful for his feedback and suggestions. He was very thorough and clearly had my back throughout the whole process. We took it out for a test drive, and he helped me notice things I otherwise would have missed. Great guy and overall awesome experience. If you're in the market for a pre-purchase auto inspection, I highly recommend Julio. read more

Julio is such a pro! Super fast communication, quick turnaround, straightforward expertise. I reached out to Julio and he came by the next morning. My old car had been sitting for a while and wouldn't start - I was worried it was a more serious problem, turned out to just be the battery. Julio took care of it for me immediately. No complaints, I'd definitely reach out to him in the future! read more

Went to Inside Car Guys out in Thousand Oaks to check out a car I was thinking of purchasing. It was a 96 and I fell for the low mileage. Luckily, I was smart enough to get a mobile mechanic on the scene because they weren't willing to allow me to take the car by a shop. Would you believe how tough it was to find a mobile mechanic out that way? Most of them only worked with trucks. The other option was Lemon Squad which had horrible reviews. I was grateful when I found Julio, whose communication was very thorough and assuring. We got there and Julio inspected and test drove the vehicle with me. I wouldn't have known what to look for or have known a lot of things that were wrong with the vehicle if he wasn't there pointing them out and explaining them to me. Julio is very professional, precise, personable and a great pleasure to work with. I hate shopping for used cars and was very stressed when it came to checking out this vehicle but he made my decision-to pass on the vehicle- that much easier. Would definitely refer him to anyone in the area and certainly recommend. read more

I reached out to Julio after a recommendation through Reddit and am super thankful for the referral. I needed a Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection (PPI) as I am out of town. Julio was quick to respond, quick to schedule, and easy to work with. His rate was competitive to other mechanics I spoke to but his communication was significantly better. I have now contracted Julio for 2 vehicles. Both times I received over 100 pictures and a couple of videos. His report was also detailed, focusing on the pros vs cons with no fluff. I highly recommend his services! read more

I contacted Julio last minute regarding a pre purchase inspection with a private seller we were meeting with the next morning. He showed up early, was extremely personable and then went to work to try to find something wrong with it. He was under the car, in the car, on top of the car and test drove it with us and the seller in it. He quizzed the seller multiple times on records and was scanning for any hiccups. It's like he had the CarFax memorized. Things you could not even think of he had a specific list of questions specific to this truck. It was awesome. He gave us a full run down of the truck's maintenance and told us what we needed to get from the seller's records to confirm what was in the listing. After everything was done he said it was a solid car and to move forward with buying it if we loved it. We we're able to bring the purchase price down quite a bit thanks to Julio. Best money we spent in this transaction and he was SO helpful in the negotiation process. With the cesspool of scammers invading the used car marketplace - you NEED a mechanic with you when buying. We were ready to bring him to the next car if this one fell through. Besides being extremely professional he is kind and funny as well. Julio is the man!!! read more

Julio helped me out of a huge jam a few weeks ago. My car wasn't starting and it was Saturday at 4pm and I had to drive to San Diego in the morning at 6am. Couldn't take it to a mechanic and did some research and found Julio and Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts on Yelp. Called him up. He was at my place in 45 mins, and troubleshot the problem and fixed it in under an hour. THe price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Julio. read more

Julio is the man. I was getting frustrated trying to change the battery on my mini cooper and was not able to get last minute appointments anywhere else. Got super lucky they recommended Julio. He came to me changed the battery at a better price than many of the other shops around. I was quoted a bit over a $100 more at other places that wouldn't have the car ready till tomorrow. However, tomorrow was not an option. Additionally he had the tools to program the car back after changing the battery. Highly recommend this guy! read more

Seriously a lifesaver! Very quick, friendly, helpful. Definitely would recommend! Appreciate the help Julio!

My car broke down the day before Christmas, and I needed to get back to work on Christmas. No normal mechanic would even consider taking my car for the holiday nor were they open to do so, but my husband gave me the tip for Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts and set up a diagnosis on Christmas Day morning with Julio. After a brief time for diagnosis; He was able to find the issue, find a way to repair the problem, get the part, and install it all before noon. All this on Christmas Day was nothing short of a miracle, and if your like me and need to get your car back up running quickly I highly recommend giving Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts a call. What ended up going wrong with my car is that a heater hose had disintegrated on itself (normal time wear causing it to break; as we observed afterwards) and luckily he was able to get parts and install to get me back on my way for the holiday! He was very knowledgeable, polite, and great priced for the service I received. I will definitely give Mobile Mechanic Auto Experts a call in case anything happens again and I suggest you do too! read more

My car was stranded. Called AAA that swapped out the battery but didn't solve my issue. Had the car towed home. Initially thought the car only needed to replace the positive connector to the battery. Ford dealer said they couldn't look at the car for 5 days. Other mobile mechanic sites said that they will get back to me with an estimate in 24 hrs (but 48 hrs later, no contact). Mobile Mechanic responded immediately and came with 30 minutes of my call to replace the positive connector (which he did). The problem ended up being more trouble. Battery had corroded and damaged the fuse box. He diagnosed the problem and shared information that this is a problem on Ford vehicles. Instead of charging the cost of the positive connector replacement, he just charged me a diagnostic fee. He said if he could get the part, he would come back the next day to repair. Today, the car is back on the road. Thank you! read more
