I spoke with Carolina over the phone, and they guaranteed someone could look at my car in a few hours despite the holiday weekend. Allan showed up a few hours later as explained and was very professional, answered all of my questions, and even gave me some advice on what to look out for!! He removed a rounded 10mm bolt for the old vtec solenoid I was replacing almost instantly. I was struggling with this bolt for days! Allan helped me install the new one no questions asked. I appreciate the help and his expertise when I was asking questions. Great price and service and definitely recommend!! read more

I've hired these guys a couple of times now and always come in handy since they come to you. I've had them show up to my house and my job and is very convenient on my end. Service was quick, so they live by the name EXPRESS. They've worked on my Starter, Wheel Tie Rod, Engine Temperature Sensor and Struts and never had a problem after the work was done. Been a regular since and will keep being one. read more

Unfortunately the communication and professionalism of this company has went from 100 to 0. I've been a customer for almost 3 years - Alan has been great until Carolina (a girlfriend) took over appointments. I was quoted $250 in writing for my service which is what I been paying then got a call from a lady stating the price is almost double. I confirmed an appt with her verbally AND via text only to say I am not on the books. After a back and forth of pure shock of insults and unprofessionalism from her and Alan, I was sent a confirmation # for an appt. NOW I get cancelled on at 8pm on a Friday night because of an "emergency". I am a female and it's hard to find trustworthy people to deal with your vehicle. I am terrified this man has my address. Ladies beware. So disappointing to see such a great business decline so drastically. UPDATE! Carolina is his wife. The text says that HE can not work - Alan has several people working for him and has never come to service my car. Lastly I just spoke to 4 of my friends who have upcoming appointments with Alan and none of them have ever spoke to Caroline and has not been cancelled on due to this fake emergency. Never let your partners jealousy ruin your business. UPDATE! Several of my friends use this service and have upcoming appointments and will take pictures of their service. He has no condition and can definitely work. Anyone who books this company will receive service except me. If you look under the many 1star reviews - he does this OFTEN!! This man and his wife all of a sudden double the prices and communicates like a low level company. Just go to jiffy lube - this company is not honest and will frustrate you. read more

Replaced my 2005 Porsche Cayenne starter quick & fast right in my driveway. Fantastic service!

Express Mechanic is highly recommended! Allen responded promptly to my inquiry on Yelp and scheduled an appointment for the following day. He worked thoroughly and though he had to come back another day to bring another part, he made me car feel like new again. It is truly valuable to have such a service when I wasn't completely comfortable driving the car to the dealership in the state it started in. Thank you, Allen, for your help! read more

Dario came out and replaced the rear brakes on my car that were locked up from sitting for too long. He was able to find the parts and did the work in a day and half as the parts were a little hard to find due to the age of the car. read more

Very professional, knowledgeable and quick . Staff was great :) I'll definitely call them again .

First and foremost I must say that Allan and the mechanic, Daniel, that was sent out to me did an excellent job. Daniel was very professional and thorough with his work, triple checking that everything up to spec and that the job was done properly. I hope to use Daniel again in future work. I have a 2001 BMW 330i with 230,000 miles that has had a nasty oil leak since I purchased the car second hand. Its been 13 years since I have owned the car and I have stacks of card board boxes that I use when parking in my garage to absorb the leak. I decided to finally get the oil pan gasket replaced after all these years. Putting new engine mounts was a no brainer since it is part of the process to remove the oil pan gasket as well. I was going to do it myself but I also figured since the pan is off I should also do the rod bearings. This car has been abused and maintenance not followed (not doing oil changes or just having little oil in the engine due to the leak) which means that the rod bearings are at risk of being damaged, causing a spun rod or rod knock. Rod bearing replacement is a job far above my pay grade so I decided to look around on Yelp. I already was planning to source the parts myself as I have a store that offers lifetime warranty so all I was looking for was labor. All shops quoted me thousands, YES THOUSANDS WITH AN "S", of dollars to do the job. Granted, the work I was requesting is indeed labor intensive and those are the going rates. Its a very precise process that requires patience and time, not simply remove and put in bolts. Fortunately Allan responded to my estimate inquiry and gave a VERY reasonable offer that no one on their right mind would refuse. It was a steal and I couldn't say no. He said they could work anywhere. So if you live in an apartment and/or don't have access to space, they will even work on the street. Daniel was came earlier than I had made an appointment for and was ready to work. I stayed to watch and let me say he did not take any shortcuts nor try to rush the job. I wrench myself on little things here and there and I can say that Daniel is a professional in his craft. I knew it was going to be long so I brought out my cooler and had drinks for Daniel so he wouldnt get dehydrated. It took an entire day and an additional 3 hours the next to finish the job. He cleaned everything up and also did not leave any trash. My car is now running like it just came off the lot. I have recommended Allan and Daniel to my coworkers who also have been looking for a trusty mechanic. One of my coworkers has already used them and also expressed the exact same sentiments I did. I have also mentioned them on certain forums online. I hope the business grows and that it becomes even more success than it already is. Thank you Allan and Daniel! Tldr; Professional Clean On time Extremely economical Friendly Apartment friendly; can work almost anywhere read more

Alen is the best. he is such a honest and loyal person. I've known him over 6 years. he fixed my ABS module on Lexus LS 460 which I got the parts. The part wasn't in working condition and for the second time even he didn't charge me for replacement and calibration , he knows cars like a piece of cakes And he is very very very honest same as his assistance. read more

Well I'm impressed. From beginning to end this was one of the easiest repair process (for a mobile service) that I have had in a long time. I needed to have my right rear halfshaft replaced on my Tesla Model S. Trying to avoid getting ripped off by the dealer I decided to submit requests to mechanics on Yelp. Finally got someone who said they could do it, and at a reasonable price. (These guys.) They gave me a few availability options and was instructed to send a text with my car info and address. Booked for 9:30am. Cool! Now having had multiple bad experiences with a couple other mobile companies, I kept my expectations low. Well, low and behold they showed up, and was 30 min early. Sweet!!! The mechanic, Danny, was very polite and professional. The company truck was clean and all the equipment looked to be clean as well. Danny got to work and was removing stuff like a surgeon. At no time did I get the impression that he was guessing. He did the entire job in under 2 hours. He double checked his work and cleaned up behind himself. I took my car for a quick test drive, and everything seemed to be in working order. To summarize them in a few words... reliable, reasonable, professional and knowledgeable. I recommend them and will definitely use them again. Bravo guys!! read more

I had to come on here and leave another review for Express Mechanics because they truly deserve it. I've been a loyal customer for a while now, and let me tell you--they're the real deal. My car is basically a piece of junk (but it's mine and fully paid off, so I keep it running), and it's needed more repairs in the past few months than I can count. (Basically bought a POS) I found Express Mechanics when I was desperate for honest help--someone who would tell me the truth and not overcharge me. That's exactly what I got with Allen and his team: dependable, trustworthy service from people who genuinely care. They know my car isn't in great shape, and I can't afford to get it fixed all at one time but they always come through--no matter where I am or what I'm doing, they show up on time and get the job done. I HIGHLY recommend Express Mechanics. read more

Just got the AC leak repair on my 2013 Mazda 3 and let me tell you. Daniel "mi tocayo" was my vehicle Tech. Real quick and agile in getting the job done under this rainy weather. Very polite and great mannerism. Speedy service. The value was great for the inconvenience of the weather. I honestly thought I was going to get overcharged due to the circumstances but instead I was not. Gracias!!! Will be calling back for future repairs. read more

5 stars for Alan! Great service and communication, high quality parts, quick and easy to work with. I highly recommend working with him on all your car needs. Impressed by how true and real my own experience was compared to all the yelpers for Express Mechanic. Pondering what is best in terms of time, price and need... I called and Allan answered right away and with a sense of urgency asked for my vin number to get me a quote on my water pump. For sure not wise to procrastinate fixing this important car part. After confirming a fair quote Allan sent speedily, Dario was dispatched to my location to get the part replaced. First time using Express Mechanic so being on site I was able to check on Dario while he worked. He was efficient and professional. Completed in good time on a very hot day. Paid via Zelle and happy to have my car safely taken care of by my new go to. Or rather, they come to me. Thank you! Allan and Dario. read more

I contacted Express Mechanic on Yelp to diagnose a brake issue with my 2004 Scion Xa. They were super prompt in responding and had availability next day. It was so convenient to have them come to my home to service the car especially since my car was not drivable with the brake issue I had. The technician Dario was super friendly and helpful, and was able to find the problem and fix it same day. They did not try to sell me anything I didn't need and the price was reasonable and fair. I will definitely contact them with any other mechanic service I need in the LA area. Thank you! read more

Express Mechanic - On site service at my home - Auto Repair Near Me

I had taken my Toyota Corolla to the dealership last week to get some maintenance, and they were quoting exorbitant prices. My uncle, who's a mechanic, suggested I look elsewhere which is how I ended up with Express Mechanic. I usually like to support small businesses, but I took my car to a nearby shop last year and had my spark plugs replaced (to a shop that had very high Yelp ratings). When I had I maintenance at the dealership half a year later, they told me the spark plugs were corroded (and they're supposed to last 50,000 miles. Not 5,000 miles). The other things that were wrong with my car wouldn't have caused this, so most likely the spark plugs weren't good to begin with. I lost my trust using places outside the dealership after this, but since the dealership was quoting me 2k+ for the repairs I needed, I decided to try Express Mechanic. Let me tell you they did NOT disappoint! Easy scheduling, reliable, showed up early. The mechanic seemed honest and was willing to work with what I needed. He confirmed the problems, went to buy the correct parts, and came back before parking enforcement could ticket my car for street cleaning. My car is now running and feels great! And to top it off the prices were extremely reasonable. The dealership was trying to charge $1000 more (WAY above market price) than what these guys did for me. And I don't currently have a job, so finding them was a god send. The Express Mechanic team was great with communication the whole time, I would definitely recommend them. read more

I value my time a whole lot and I can tell you that Express Mechanic values yours too! I love the fact that they provide at home service at a fair price and they are fast at their service without compromising their quality of work. We spoke with Allan who is the owner of Express Mechanic. He is professional and helpful and a great listener. I love that they come over to my home and I don't have to leave the comfort of my home to be waiting in some random lobby.. with Express Mechanic, I can be making lunch while getting my car's oil change, I love it! During this last visit, I did notice that my car seat (which is carpet) had some light stains of what looked like oil. We informed Allan, I mean, accidents happen, we totally get it. He was able to send a professional car cleaner to our home to ensure that our car was clean. They left our car cleaner than it had been before the stain. We were thankful that we were taken care of and that although it was a slight inconvenience to have my car dirty due to an oil change, Allan was professional and took accountability and went above and beyond in ensuring we were left happy with his service. I highly recommend Express Mechanic! Thank you so much for being professional, fair in pricing and providing a superb customer service making us feel so valued. read more

My truck was having clutch issues and was disabled at my home. Rather than having the truck towed to a servicer (a big expense) who then would have me at a huge disadvantage because of my timeline, I elected to go with a mobile mechanic. Requested a diagnostic for my boyfriends bmw and he responded in minutes! I was able to schedule an appointment the next morning and he showed up exactly on time. He was actually 10 mins early which is a plus as a lot of mechanics do not respect peoples time. After he arrived he quickly checked every part of the car and let us know that the transmission went out and needed replacement. He was very professional and had no bs replies trying to over charge and bring up unnecessary fixes. His service was extremely convenient and proper; my boyfriend and I would highly recommend Allan to anyone! He will not scam you and is very respectful. I had called so many foreign auto mechanic shops and I was met with insolence or just an outright conceited mechanic so having Allan come very quickly was a life saver and a relief. Again, I would highly recommend having him as your mobile mechanic!!! Thank you Allan! read more
