Was in LA having a great day when I hear a huge pop sound in my tire. After pulling over I realize there's no chance this car is moving anywhere, and of course, I didn't have a spare. Was able to get towed to CA tire short notice end of day on a Friday Was able to get it checked it and to no surprise, my tire was beyond repair. They were able to get me replaced for a used tire that appears to have a lot of life left! Luckily this saved me a lot and was back home in no time. I was recommended to see Chris from my other mechanic John when I had a screw in my back tire. It was the easiest and chill experience. The shop is like a "mom & pop" shop in front of a body shop. As soon as I told him that John sent me, he was quick, accommodating, and handled my patch work. He charged me the honest rate for the repair and didn't try to upsell me, which I surprisingly have to write as we're still in a pandemic and so many small businesses are scraping by. This place is great for straightforward patches and tire repairs, not for more involved issues. The tight service driveway and seemingly one man operation mean that service is not reliable if your issue needs a closer eye. My son came in for a $40 patch repair a few months ago- great. Last week, tire losing air every few days. In Pouring rain, the owner could only put more air in and told him to come back tomorrow. He had to drive to another county tomm so my gut told me he needed to go to a larger tire outfit to diagnose this further than just another patch, or else he'd be in the same predicament soon. There's a language barrier as well if you don't speak Korean. Sure enough, the larger place was able to use diagnostic equipment to see that his run was bent in a way that was causing the tire to lose pressure, so it needed welding. $60! read more

Bad experience here but I'm sure in most cases they're fine. Came here Saturday 9am, there was no wait. The guy quickly found that one of my rims was leaking air and told me that they have to send it out and will be done before 1pm. Which was great because I had a lunch reservation at 3:30 to go to. He installed my spare tire on my car and I head back home. 1pm passes by and not a single phone call. Called them 3-4 times on both phone numbers provided, not a single answer. Yelp says they close at 2 so I was worried they would just close up shop and not get back to me. I drove back and found that the gates were closed. The guy was still there but told me it was going to take until 3 o'clock. I am already upset because he did not even bother to fill me in about what was going on. Not only that he did not seem any bit apologetic that he gave me the wrong estimation. If anything he was a bit argumentative and made me feel like I was the issue. Had he just called me to inform me of the situation so I wasn't left in the dark, I wouldn't have been so upset. I was basically stuck waiting around for two hours (because even the later estimation was incorrect) until my rims were returned. And basically missed my reservation. Icing on the cake. My car started rattling while I was driving it with the spare tire. Turned out the bolts were loose. Well. That could've been dangerous. I didn't bother bringing it up to them because I doubt they would take any responsibility. Upon reinstalling my tires he realized he didn't tighten three bolts completely very unprofessional and dangerous, and did not make any amends. It's kind of crazy how many good reviews this place has or maybe I'm just very unlucky. After my tire was installed I just left without saying a word. I just wanted my car back and now I hope there isn't anything else that is going to turn out to be an issue from this visit. Edit... 10 minutes after driving my car, my tire starts ratting again. And they are not answering their phones... fml read more

Called CAT and spokes to Chris and confirmed I can have my online tire order shipped to his store. On day of installation, I arrived at 8am whem they open. Tire installation and balance took about 30-40 mins. Super fast and friendly service. Chris does have a bit of a heavy Korean accent but that never was an issue for me. We live in the mecca of the melting pot so its part of the beautiful LA culture. Glad I found CA Tires, will definitely be back. read more

Great service and prices!! I called on Thursday morning at 8am to ask about getting 2 replacement tires, they did not have them in stock but, said the tires would be in by 2pm the same day! I got a call before 2pm that the tires were in. I got to the shop at 215, had no wait, and was out by 245 with 2 new tires mounted and balanced. Price of the tires were comparable to many big name shop. This place is no frills but I'll take that any day because of the kindness and speediness of the shop.
