Changed brakes and shaved rotors in about an hour and a half. Valvoline told me I had an engine leak and they checked it for free. Appointment was at 1 and I arrived 30 minutes early and they started as soon as I got there. Decent prices as well. read more

I brought my 2017 Subaru Impreza in for a blinking engine temperature/ coolant light issue and they quoted me 800 bucks for a new radiator. The next day, they called me saying they fixed the radiator, but there was an internal leaking issue that the mechanic couldn't figure out and that I should immediately go trade in the car before the engine fails. He gave me zero plausible or any technical explanation for what the origin of the issue was and added another 100 dollars to my service fee. I decided to take my car to a mechanic who is more accustomed to dealing with Subarus with the incredibly vague explanation I received from the mechanic rather than go sell or trade in the car because one person told me he can't fix it. The next day, I received an actual explanation of what the issue was, which was a cross contamination issue with the coolant and engine oil that can happen with the specific engine that Subarus are equipped with and he was able to give me an actual quote to fix the issue rather than telling me to trade in or sell the car. Furthermore, he said that changing the radiator should have only cost me a couple hundred dollars max and that the issue with the engine could have been prevented if I went to an experienced mechanic in the first place! I was overcharged by more than double the actual price of parts and service and literally told to go trade in the car after paying $880 dollars, which I had to haggle down from $900 after the price increased overnight. Please don't come here for any repairs as they are not qualified to provide proper service, yet will overcharge you without any agreement. I went in for an oil change, and the employee who serviced my vehicle backed up my car into another clients car. I didn't get upset, and I asked Jonathan for 200 dollars of compensation. He wouldn't do that so I asked for his insurance, he wouldn't provide that either. I ended up having to call the police to file a report to get his insurance, and he wasted 4 hours of my time. He wouldn't provide the police with security footage, and the other car that his employee hit isn't even aware it happened. Claims has called me and I will update this post soon. In the update I'll provide the police case number, insurance incident number, damages, settlement, proof of denying security footage, and any further litigation. PS: It has been settled, he asked his insurance company to settle with me outside of insurance since he's worried about his rates going up. I told his insurance I won't since he wasted my time and was a complete asshole. I'm going to get an estimate now. Five stars is not enough for these guys. I drove my car in with the front bumper practically hanging off. We have a Prius that is low to the ground and we are constantly having the tabs come loose from the bumper to the wheel well. They were able to reattach it with new tabs and it looks new! I mistakenly brought my car here for an oil leak diagnosis without knowing there was a change in ownership. The mechanic looked at my car and initially told me it isn't my car leaking oil. Then, he looked under the hood and started to list things that needed to be fixed. He told me the engine belt needed to be replaced or my car could just stop. There were no invoices for the parts or charges stated for the diagnosis. He told me parts needed to be ordered to fix the oil leak and engine belt. He told me a $200 deposit was required and they would call when the parts came in. I paid using a credit card and he was surprised it wasn't paid in cash. I later learned the manufacturer noted the oil leak as an issue and has an extended warranty to correct it. I tried to cancel the service and was told it was $120 for the diagnosis and $30 to return the parts. So basically, I was charged $150 for a 5-minute diagnosis with no prices stated upfront. I will never return but for those who are new to this process, i would recommend getting prices upfront before any payment and getting a second opinion because the prices are very high. read more

I paid $539 for Brakes + Synthetic Oil Change in the Spring only for 2 months later I suddenly have issues with my brakes AGAIN + they charged me extra for a service that they last minute did and I wasn't aware of until billed. I went in again and they said they can temporarily fix it or charge me another $200 for the service. I did not proceed because I already don't trust how they initially serviced my car. They seem money hungry and use low quality products to get the job done. Not a good look for a new company. Extremely disappointed. read more

I needed a quick and easy oil change and fluids checked for my 2009 Toyota Prius. I arrived at Olympic Auto at about 10:10 am today (Friday, May 31). As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by the shop's owner, Jonathan. He was polite and friendly. He asked me what I wanted done and directed me into the mechanic bay where two automotive technicians were ready to go to work. Jonathan, without being pushy recommended I go with synthetic oil as opposed to a standard version. I chose the synthetic oil. His two technicians quickly proceeded to complete the oil change and topping off all fluids within 20 minutes or less. The two men were kind and professional. I paid a total of $98.00 (tax included). Even after I paid, Jonathan made sure to ask his technicians if the job was completed as expected and if there was anything else that the car needed. An air filter change under the hood and the interior is what's needed and is on the calendar for the next visit. All in all, my short time and experience with Jonathan and his team was great. They charged me $400 for an oil change and "oil gunk cleaning" that will supposedly fix the starting issue. Charged $500 dollars for labor for the starter too when I already had the part. the owner was trying to make me pay $80 for an estimate. i went in to see how much it'd be to her my trunk latch replaced. he was charging me $200 for the trunk latch, which it costs $20 on amazon; he told me everyone around here would charge $200 for the part. as i was prepping to leave, he kept insisting i have to pay $80 for the labor of the estimate. i told him i never paid for an estimate & left but i was very uncomfortable with this experience. read more
