Great shop, great management, and fair prices! Sergio was awesome, super easy to talk to and honest about the realistic needs for my vehicle. I'll be headed back soon to have them do that work they quoted me on. I called the day before asking their availability for an oil change and inspection and was told on the phone that they'd be able to help me out real quickly if I got there right when they opened the following morning. Unfortunately I was running late and came in around 9:30am. Sergio greeted me and let me know that it might be a few hours as they already had all their techs busy at that point in the morning. No worries, so I settled in to their waiting area to do some work. I was surprised to have Sergio pop in just about 40 minutes later to let me know that my car was ready as he was able to get me in between jobs. I asked him about the price difference, and he said the computer has the price and he can't change it. Someone told me he was the owner, so, how can he not know how much something will cost? Can't recommend this place enough! So glad we found them. I've been dealing with a broken AC for a few months and only have one car and my schedule is always all over the place, so finding a time to get it in was a bit challenging, but Sergio was always willing to work with me and finally when I got it in, they fixed it within a few hours! Took my car to LA Auto Center because my check engine light came on. They quoted me $1,900 to fix it. I told them that price was insane and that I'd be taking my car somewhere else. Like magic, immediately after that, the guy calls me back and suddenly the price drops to $1,500. If you can knock off $400 that fast, the original quote was complete bullshit. Clearly just testing to see if I'd swallow an inflated number. What really pissed me off is they held my car for FOUR DAYS and did absolutely nothing. No repairs, no progress, just wasted my time while they tried to figure out how much more money they could squeeze out of me. On top of that, they misdiagnosed the issue and wanted to order extra parts "just in case," which of course means more charges. Classic upsell scam. They also dangle the AAA discount like it's some huge favor, but it's a joke. They overcharge you first, then pretend they're giving you a deal by lowering the price. I'm convinced the good Yelp reviews are from people who don't realize they're being played. This place is a rip-off. Fuck you Vidal and Sergio. Sit on my middle finger . read more

Do not bring your car here. They overcharge and do not fix the problem. I brought my vehicle here to fix the gas pump and they charged me $1600 and they did not fix it. I took my car in and 3 weeks later, my car broke down again for the same thing. I let them know and they refused to fix it, even with the 2 month warranty. They blamed me and said it was because I didn't put gas but I did. So they refused to fix it. I took my car somewhere else, and they fixed the gas pump With no issue. I have had no problems now. My Nissan had been throwing the same check engine light tantrum for months, and after three other mechanics in LA couldn't diagnose the issue this team actually figured it out. Not only do they offer warranties on their work but they also refused to give up on my car, even when it kept gaslighting us with the same error code. Shoutout to DJ, who kept me updated every step of the way, and the manager, who quite literally saved my hatchback from a tragic shoelace entanglement (RIP to my roller skate lace, but thank you for your service). As a single lady living in LA, finding a mechanic who doesn't assume I think "oil change" means switching to olive oil is a blessing. I only came here because I moved nearby, and pass them everyday, and my trusted longtime shop is waaaay in Hawthorne, CA -- getting to and from there is a PITA, and sometimes they don't even have space to take your car, in contrast LA Auto Center is a 10ish minute walk from my house and they said "Come on". Originally went for regular maintenance on my 2 cars. The my AC went out on my Honda and they fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price. The I started having poor fuel mileage and CEL on my Hyundai Santa Fe. It ended up being a Catalytic Converter issue which they attempted to clean -- and that went well for a while, but they told me upfront it may not be a permanent fix and I was ok with that. The issues returned and the diagnosed the car and quoted me for an entire replacement of the CAT --- the price was high in general, but of all of the shops I got a quote from, they were the most reasonable. I ended up getting a new car before getting it repaired though. They are friendly... very friendly. My daughter likes going to their shop with me. Very communicative -- kept me updated and answered all of my questions. Great waiting room. It's bright and CLEAN inside. I think I've found my new shop. read more

Sergio, David, and the team were exceptionally helpful. They went above and beyond expectations. My driver side door was having issues closing and locking -- a very stressful situation being that it would've just opened while driving unless I tied it down to my seat as a safety anchor. I went in to see them at about 10am in the morning and they were able to complete the job by 2:38pm. I expected it to be close to around 4pm so they exceeded my expectations. I had great conversations with Sergio and laughed quite a lot. Enjoyed some peppermint tea in the waiting room and he even let me borrow an umbrella to take with me as I walked back to my place to stall time as the work was being done (I live within walking distance gratefully). Once the job was done they told me the price of it all and it seemed quite reasonable from my research about this particular car part they installed and the process it took. But unfortunately I didn't have enough in my account at the moment to pay it full. Luckily Sergio and David set me up with SNAP Finance where I could apply for a small loan to make payments on the bill. What a relief. So grateful I had these guys being such a huge blessing just down the street from where I stay at. Thanks immensely, fellas. It was small, and they were able to replace the gas cap on the spot at no extra cost. It's a small fix, and they take care of us quickly.
