Made reservations for lunch but wasn't necessary. The restaurant is clean and quiet in a good way. No loud background music, just the noise of people enjoying their hot pot. Meat quality was great and the broth was not overly seasoned which is perfect for hot pot. The highlight of today's visit was the host/server, Brian! He was so welcoming and truly made the entire dining experience pleasant. Great service truly leaves a lasting impression. I highly recommend this place! The milk tea was bland but the curry was good!

Great deal

First time to try this location. I saw the 20% walk in promo on instagram and decided to try it today for lunch on Friday. It's actually such an amazing deal because Friday lunch is $29.95 and after the discount it's less than $24 per person for AYCE meats, veggies, and more. We walked in around 11:45 and it was not too busy. It started filling up more throughout our meal. It seemed like they were understaffed with no hostess, so our server Anderson was also seating people. He was truly friendly and efficient given all the work he had to do. He took our orders, brought out everything we asked for, and checked on us many times to clear out empty plates and bring us refills of various items. The short plate was my son's favorite meat. While I liked the Chuck Eye roll because it was leaner. Both were very good in the two broths. We tried many different veggies, tofu, noodles, sauces, curry, etc from the farmers market. Everything looked clean and fresh. I think it's tough to get such a good AYCE deal in Irvine, hence the well deserved 5 star review.

Had a great and fun meal here!!!! Was craving hot pot and decided to try this place out. WE LOVED IT! We came on a Saturday around 1PM. We had a reservation but the restaurant had open tables at the time. We loved that it was a bit more empty. The parking lot, on the other hand, was WILD! We ended up parking behind the daycare center. We opted for the AYCE Wagyu experience which was pricey but oh so good. Everything in the restaurant seemed new and clean! The servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. And I loooved all the fresh vegetables at the self-serve bar/farmers market. So many great choices! Overall, all the meats were delicious. Fatty, flavorful, and yummy. We ended up doing the Shabu Shabu broth and Sukiyaki broth. Both were great! I really LOVED the gomadare sauce (sesame seed sauce). And I was addicted to the Taberu Rayu chili oil at the self serve bar. SO GOOD. I ended up eating so much! But I didn't feel terrible as I had a bunch of veggies too. And at the end, we got free ice cream (mint chocolate chip and strawberry cheesecake)! I would've gotten a second scoop but I was soooo full. Had a great meal! Would totally come back.

Tried the new shabu-shabu spot in Irvine tonight (in the plaza by 99 Ranch on Jeffrey & Walnut, in the newly renovated building). The restaurant is beautifully done--clean, simple décor, spacious seating, and a really nice atmosphere. Service was excellent and very attentive from start to finish. The meat quality was good, and the broths were flavorful, which made everything taste great. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegetable options. Compared to places like Shabu Shabu (or similar all-you-can-eat shabu spots), this one had a smaller selection of vegetables, seafood, and add-ons. Overall, we had a great experience. I'd highly recommend making a reservation--they said they get very busy.

came for dinner and there was no wait. they had a promotion the time i went and i had a good meal. the meat quality is quite good. but very filling so be wary when ordering alot :) veggies and toppings were arranged nicely and neatly. there are many tables and they are spaced out nicely. i liked the curry and the rice portion machine. soup base was alright, nothing crazy good service and nice staff!

This hot pot spot replaced house of shabu shabu which was a UCI classic. Now, it's been remodeled since the fire and has a variety of small and larger tables for seating. There's also a large variety of vegetables which I really appreciated. For the menu, you can opt for the wagyu or Momo experience, one is more expensive than the other. You order the meats from your server but everything else is self serve. Our server was very attentive with the meat ordering which we appreciated. One note of feedback was that their tonkotsu broth and tomato broth could be more flavorful. The sukiyaki was definitely the star of the show for our meal

i've eaten at other momo paradise locations before, and this one was still just as consistent in service and quality as the others! i came on a sunday afternoon with my cousins, and we had a reservation for our large party of 12. even though we were a little bit past our reservation time, the workers were super nice, understanding, and accommodating to our situation! they were also able to sit us all together, which was really nice for us to still eat and hangout with one another. in terms of food, we ordered from the momo experience, which had an unlimited amount of all of the meat cuts that we liked! this also gave us access to the farmer's market area, where we could pick out our veggies, noodles, & other protein types, and to the unlimited yummy curry & rice. we chose the tonkotsu and sukiyaki soup broths for our base, which were flavored well and not too salty or sweet. we also added on the drink garden to get access to the drink area, and i really enjoyed the momo peach soda! momo paradise is a pretty standard shabu shabu place, but it's always consistently good every time i go! definitely one of my favorite places that gets it right every time!

Parking can be annoying since there are so many great places to eat there and the grocery store is there too. But luckily, I was able to score a spot and meet up with friends. The place is AYCE and you have 90 minutes to eat everything at $54.95 per person. They had rice and curry where the veggies were located. We opted for the wagyu meats (American wagyu round, American wagyu cross rib, American wagyu chuck eye). We ordered meat after meat after meat. We also opted for the Sukiyaki and tomato soup base with eggs. Our server's name was Kenneth or Kenny. But he was very helpful and prompt with getting our orders in. The interior is minimal but comfortable. Everyone's pretty busy eating away and trying to get as much meat as possible during their stay.

Absolutely love Mo Mo Paradise! The service is awesome and Brian always takes super good care of us when we visit. Shabu ingredients are delicious, great quality and bang for buck since it's AYCE style capped at 90 minutes. Veggie options are fresh and plentiful and the beef and pork options range from lean to delightfully fatty. Also love adding on the unlimited drink bar because of their specialty teas and toppings. My favorites are the Yuzu Jasmine and Passion Fruit Oolong teas. Can't get enough! Ambiance is casual. We always leave feeling super satisfied. Thank you so much for the care the staff puts into prepping the ingredients and service.

Arrived around 5:30 on a Tuesday night and it was dead, just the way I like it. Glad they opened a location in Irvine because as much as I like their shabu, the drive the Rowland Heights was rough. I always get their Sukiyaki broth with egg to dip. Lunch Mo-Mo experience would be ideal bang for your buck at $38 but if you go during dinner you're looking at $50. Wagyu experience isn't needed in my opinion if you order the Short Plate which is the fatty underbelly, but if you want leaner then get the Chuck eye which is the upper shoulder. What's special about MoMo is their rice and delicious curry available at the veggie bar. Their curry is so good I'd buy it as a lunch combo if they'd offer it. Would highly recommend this place for your next shabu experience.

I'm so excited Momo Paradise opened in Irvine! It's a chain Shabu place from Japan and they have it all over the world. I've had it in Taiwan and Torrance so I'm very happy it's finally closer to me. I was able to book reservations online for our party of 7. Check in was easy and we were seated right away. Our server was very thorough in explaining how the process works. I got the Shabu Shabu broth while my kids got the tonkontsu broth. For a small additional price I upgraded to the all you can drink option which included an assortment of sodas and teas. The meat came out fast and they were good quality. I also love the farmer's market where you can grab your own veggies and other food items. I really liked the unlimited Wagyu beef curry rice. For dessert we can order ice cream through the server. Parking is a bit tough since this is a popular plaza with 99 Ranch and other restaurants so be sure to give yourself extra time to find parking.

Food is really good! Service is outstanding! Ambiance is great! The reason for the 4/5 stars is the selection. While it has a decent selection of assorted meats and veggies, it's a very competitive area and other AYCE shabu restaurants in the area just have a better selection. I really did enjoy the custom sodas they offer and the teas and milk tea options are great! Great prices if you do their happy hour or get them on weekdays.

Very clean and friendly staff. No wait time on a Thursday afternoon at 5:15pm as the place just opened and it was empty. The only thing that's different about this location or maybe all of the location is they now charge for the drinks (3.95). The curry is still delicious and the meats are good quality!

Best decision of my late night misadventures in a long time! It was very filling (you could probably order one item and split it or have plenty of food for leftovers the next day), it's not inexpensive but it's great value (but then again $20 for a meal out is kind of going rate standard so maybe it is inexpensive or comparable to most anything else you could choose?), and it's great quality. The soup is a combo meal that comes with rice, glass noodles, fish cakes in sauce, and kimchi. You can also modify the spice level to make it more mild or spicy depending on your preference. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the soup but I'm going to think about it for a while because I was 100% lost in the sauce while eating it - after you get halfway you can put the rice, part of the kimchi, and (maybe) the fish cakes in the soup so it gets closer to porridge and break up some of the blood sausage to mix it throughout. Service is friendly and can recommend different things to eat. I got my order as takeout but the dining atmosphere is really good for how close each table is to one another. Everyone still has enough space to be on their own but because you're closer together it kind of feels communal.

I ordered the galbi tang and steamed dumplings, and my meal was delicious. The beef ribs were very tender, and they did not skimp out on the meat portions which can sometimes be an issue at other restaurants. I usually order a side of extra glass noodles, but I'm glad I didn't here because the noodle portion was also generous. The dumplings were juicy, and the dipping sauce complimented them perfectly. My favorite galbi tang spots are in Buena Park, but Tang 190 will definitely scratch the itch when I can't wait since I'm local to Irvine.

However, a few years ago, the restaurant changed ownership, and things have gone downhill since then. Prices have increased, the taste is different, and most importantly, the service is no longer good. Because of that, we stopped going there for at least two years. The other day, I took my father there again just to see if anything had improved, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The service was still really bad. We ordered one of the specials from the menu, and nobody informed us that ordering the special meant it would not include the usual side dishes. This was very poor communication on their part. They should clearly mention that in the menu before customers order. Instead, after we ordered, they told us that the side dishes were not included. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially compared to how good this place used to be.

You can tell this place has a strong base of regulars too, I saw a mix of friend groups and families casually walking in like it's their go-to spot. We ordered the cold noodles combo with jokbal (pork hock) for $30.95. Portion wise, it's SOLID for two people. The cold noodles were refreshing and really hit the spot, especially if you like that clean, slightly tangy flavor. The jokbal was very decent. Not bad, but if you've had it in Korea, you'll notice it doesn't quite hit the same level still totally "usable," just not standout. Value, this is where they win. We got full off just one combo, which is rare these days. Plus, all the usual Korean side dishes are complimentary, and they also served a warm bone broth at no extra cost. I've honestly never had that offered like this before, and it made the whole meal feel extra comforting and homey. Small detail, but I also appreciated that the table was already fully set up with bowls, utensils, and water which makes everything efficient. Overall, really solid experience. It actually gave me a bit of that Seoul nostalgia, which is hard to replicate. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.
