What a relief! But even more so, what PEERLESS customer service and support. MMPC ("mandmpestcontrol.com) absolutely exceeded my expectations starting the very first moment they picked up my call. After a brief exchange of information and a promise that someone would be in touch with me. I waited and sure enough in less than 30mins I received a call back from Stan. What a patient and experienced expert who answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly and reassuringly. Soon thereafter, I scheduled a visit, and the companion to the M&M Inspector would be a canine who had a serious job to do. Herbert "Herbie" arrived with canine companion Dexter. Immediately I was put at ease. My partner and I were instructed to let Dexter do his job; he too is pro by the way with YEARS of experience. It was hard not to fawn all over Dexter, as I'm a dog lover but I was told after the visit, petting and interaction were perfectly acceptable. So the inspection began. It was not rushed at all. Of course I was nervous and it seemed like forever but I was grateful that every nook and cranny was being "sniffed" out. We weren't sure what signed a "discovery" or "confirmation," so we anxiously listened and waited, not wanting at all to distract Dexter and Herbie. And then... the verdict was in... NO bed bugs detected at all!!! The relief and joy was significantly enhanced by the now affectionate and playful experience with Dexter. A "mature" male beagle with the disposition of a puppy, but when he was doing his job, he was focused and extremly well trained. They always say, if you're on stage with a dog or baby, forget keeping the audience's attention. Well, I absolutely must mention how AMAZING Herbert "Herbie" Yan is! He was so informative, answering all of our questions; educating us and not at all rushing us to hurry our inquiry. He explained all that he and Dexter did and that made us feel that we truly had the most thorough inspection. What a HUGE relief. Herbie also told us about pigeon mites. Since rectifying the pigeon presence outside of our screened and air-conditioned windows, all issues have subsided. I could go on and on and if I could give 10 stars, I sure would. I hired M&M for bed bugs and I can't say enough good things about this company! Herbie Yan and his cute beagle Dexter came over and were able to pinpoint where the infestation was. They asked questions and listened. They spent a good long time checking everywhere, especially the spots I told them I was concerned about. Dexter sniffed them out and Herbie followed up with a physical inspection, showing me the molted skins and also explaining the difference between carpet beetle skins he found and those of bed bugs. He was patient and answered my questions and gave me advice about what to do immediately, like lifting my bed up onto interceptors. The rest of the company was that way too. The person assigned to work with me, Christian, patiently answered all of my many, many questions, even after 10 pm. The company would also take a message and forward to whoever was on call. It was so incredibly comforting to have such responsive service, through what was a very stressful ordeal. Peter the fumigator was incredibly thorough, competent and professional. I kept looking but there isn't an inch of baseboard he or his assistant missed when they were caulking; they even caulked inside the radiators because that's where Dexter had found activity. He too asked questions and listened carefully. On the followup, he paid extra attention in his fumigating to the areas that I said were still a concern for me. And even after the treatment, everyone has been great about asking if I have any lingering questions and making sure I know everything I can to ensure the bed bugs don't come back. Mind you, you do have to follow their extensive prep instructions, so that they can work the best they can, and then follow their post-treatment instructions too. I did my part and they did their part, and so far, no bed bugs! Everyone was professional, thorough and excellent at their jobs. Contacted MMPC after noticing some 'suspicious' bites marks on me. I wasn't sure if I was dealing with bed bugs, but seeing the bites scared the heck out of me! I travel for a living and had recently done some personal travel to Europe and Central America as well, so I was very, very concerned about a possible bed bug situation. I live in NYC and the last thing I want is to deal with bed bugs! Yikes! I emailed MMPC on an early Saturday morning while away in Portugal and within minutes Timothy email me back. We spent a good portion of that day emailing back and forth. I felt I was being heard! (Thank you Timothy I know I probably sounded paranoid and took way too much of your time that day) Timothy asked tons of questions to determine the origin of the bites, and worked with my schedule to get an inspection set up 2 days later on the day I was scheduled to return from overseas. Enter Macho...The cutest beagle!! and Glen, her handler (you are cute too Glen don't feel left out) Glen and Macho showed up right on time. Macho sniffed the entire apartment and Glen carefully inspected afterwards. The process didn't feel invasive, yet it was very through. I felt I was in good hands. I felt so at ease knowing I had done what I could to ensure there were no bugs in my home. Best money ever spent for peace for mind! I loved how easy it was to set up the inspection, and I appreciate all the advice I got from Glen to keep my items safe from the pesky bugs while away at work and staying at hotels. He didn't just do a quick inspection--he went above and beyond to locate the burrows, even taking the extra step of raking away leaves and carefully removing a picket from my fence to gain better access. What impressed me most was that he didn't just stop at finding the issue; he also made sure to restore everything afterward, thoughtfully replacing the fence picket before he left. Yelpers got it right again. After several failed bed bug treatments by exterminators provided by my landlord, we finally hired M&M directly. I worked with Tom and Ray and both were professional and patient throughout the entire process. Their preparation requirement was painfully onerous but necessary and I am glad I did it because we found bedbugs living inside a picture frame and bathroom cabinet. Unlike the other 3 exterminating companies, yes over 3!, M&M's approach is considerably more involved and thorough. The team (Peter and assistant) that actually treated our home was equally as courteous as Tom & Megan. Some of the furniture were too heavy to move away from the walls but the team helped me with that and installing the mattress covers. We just have our home inspected after three months and we are finally free of bed bugs and can't be happier. We must have had a million email and phone questions and they would answer us within minutes at all hours. We interviewed four other well-reviewed companies but M&M stood out the most in terms of their detailed treatment programs and professionalism. While they were also more eco-friendly, we didn't care about that aspect anymore at this point. We just wanted all the bed bugs dead.  In summary, the service was on the more costly side but it was worth every penny. Finding an affordable and spacious apartment in NYC is miracle and we didn't want to move. Incredible service. These guys are the best when it comes to bedbugs! I have been dealing with bedbugs since October of last year and these creatures are impossible to get rid of. My landlord's exterminators were horrible. They treated my apartment 4 times and the situation keeps getting worst to the point of me getting bites every night. Not wanting to leave my beautiful corner apartment, I hired M&M and they were amazing. I visited their orchard street office on the lower east side and met with Raymond. He was so helpful and spent 60 minutes listening to me and then explaining their comprehensive program. Their preparation manual was 2 pages long and quite intimidating but it make sense. It took me and my boyfriend 3 straight days to properly prepare for the treatment. The exterminators (Jason and Joe?) that came to treat my apartment were in uniforms, surprisingly, clean cut and very professional. They spent nearly 4 hours on their first visit which was 4 hours longer than the previous exterminators. It has been 2 months since their last visit and I have not incur any new bites or seen any new signs of bedbugs - yeah! I did tons of research and spoke to many companies and M&M is definitely more expensive than the others but you get what you pay for which in my case is a PEACE OF MIND. read more

I found a bug. I did some googling, ended up on M&M's website, and gave them a call. The woman I spoke to was great: very calm and a reassuring, very knowledgable, and made sure I would get the fastest response possible to my inquiry. She took all my information, and within an hour I had an email response from Jim. I had asked if I could send them the bug for identification, and Jim said if I could get a good picture, that would work, or I could bring it to their offices for free identification. The bug was too tiny to get a good picture, and as it was nearing 6pm on a Friday, I said I would bring it in next week. Flash forward to Tuesday. I found another bug. Bigger this time. I brought the offending critter straight to their offices, where Dorothy gave it a positive bed bug identification. Dorothy then sat with me and talked about my situation in detail, all the next steps to take, and all kinds of possible solutions, until I felt I had all the info I needed to tackle to problem head on. Despite the prognosis, I actually left their offices feeling rather uplifted about the whole situation. Woke up Sat am with awful bites and thought the worst, did some research and called M&M. They set up an appt for a K9 to come and inspect since i was positive it was bed bugs. My landlord sent over his guy first who just looked through and did a visual inspection and said everything was fine. I knew that could not be the case and am so glad i had M&M coming a couple hours later. Stanley and Speckles were there on time and i gave him the whole story, from the start he agreed it might be bed bugs based on my bites. He was really helpful and answered all my questions. I left for them to complete the inspection and 20 mins later i was back at my place and sure enough Speckles found the hiding spot near an outlet. He explained exactly what to do while i make plans for treatment. He even told me to text me if i had any questions. I even called later after my husband and i found some other bugs which were not bed bugs but he was so helpful and i fell very confident they will get rid of these bed bugs. Like previous people mentioned he did not try to pitch me any service and left it up to me to do what i thought right, which i really appreciated and we are having our treatment with them for sure. Like everyone that lives in New York City, I saw a little mouse in my room one night. Laid out some traps with peanut butter on it and thought that would solve the issue. I'm assuming they've evolved and have gotten smarter because that peanut butter had remained untouched for about a month. Then I started hearing scratching within the walls of my house and couldn't take it anymore so I contacted MMPC. Richard, the Technician, came in and IMMEDIATELY solved the issue. He showed me where the entry points were and laid out some bait and traps throughout my apartment. I've had experiences with pest control companies before but this one was different. He actually went even further and started asking me if I had any steel wool laying around to patch up the immediate entry points, where I kept all the food, if I had any secret snack compartments and even went out into the backyard to assess the nearby buildings to see what might be attracting them in. This was roughly two months ago so I wanted to wait until then before I gave a 5-star review. Safe to say, I'll be going to MMPC more often and hopefully Richard is still there! read more

The building I live in is an old tenement apartment. I often see rats big as the size of cats running around. They run up and down to the front steps and creep into the garbage pails outside. Yes totally gross is an understatement! They would squirm around inside the garbage bags and fight each other! I would be so afraid to open the front door to my own apt because I was afraid these rats will run across my foot. I called M & M and spoke to a lovely lady named Ami who was super helpful. She told me to speak to my landlord and find out what company we used. Apparently we don't use any it seems or this problem won't be happening! She was great and so funny telling me to make loud stomping noises and not be afraid. I emailed my landlord this companies info and in a few days I saw the inspection vans out front. Boy was I relief! The numerous garbage pails were removed and placed inside of our building. There are a few traps outside. All I have to say is this company rocks and I'm so freaking relieved to be able to open my front door without having to see 10 rats run in circles! read more

Excellent- amazing service! I couldn't recommend Samuel and Luwani more highly. I was having issues with cockroaches in my apartment and I required any possible entry points to be identified and sealed. They were incredibly professional and efficient and sorted the problems I had in my home identifying and sealing all openings and entry points! They communicated with me very clearly throughout their time in the apartment, explaining everything they were doing and asking my permission. I am so happy with their work. They are great with pets as I have a cat who is quite anxious. Samuel and Luwani were so friendly and went above and beyond with their work! It was a lot of work and they got it done within a few hours, they were very efficient! Amazing quality, great value and excellent service! We had bed bugs and we needed help finding where they were. Not only did Timothy get someone out here in less than 24 hours, but at 10:30p when I was emailing him, he called me to make sure I had everything I needed. He also knew we were moving and wanted to make sure to prevent moving the bedbugs with us. He had such great advice and helped more than I could have imagined. He also helped me stay calm. In addition, the woman who came out was beyond knowledgeable and really helped with advice and explained exactly where they were and how to prevent them while we waited for an exterminator. The dog was also extremely professional and unlike most bed bug dogs I've read about, her dog, "specs", scratched when he found a bedbug, he didn't bark. This was hugely helpful because he would bark when he wanted a treat so it was very comforting to know there was a difference.
