Roaches are my biggest fear, so seeing one in my apartment was horrifying. City express responded quickly to my messages, and sent someone out the same day. Joe was kind, knowledgeable and friendly - he confirmed the roach was gone, but still set preventative traps and sprayed. I couldn't be more grateful for the peace of mind! read more

Fast response and they were in my apartment the next day exterminating for bed bugs. they do two applications a week apart. Joe who does the actual exterminating was really lovely and did a great job. Three weeks out and I haven't had the bugs return. read more

Good job , good price! For Yellowjackets nesting in my walls , they pumped poison in wall and sealed - no more bees!

Ron was communicative, helpful and knowledgeable. Joe was prompt, friendly, and efficient. I would recommend this business!

I've been having an issue with mice in my apartment, Ron was extremely responsive and let me know what my options were as far as services. The technician Ron sent, Joe was very thorough finding holes to seal that I hadn't even realized were there. Answered all my questions and finished his work pretty quickly. Very happy with the service and there's an included follow up within the first 30 days which adds some additional peace of mind. read more

I cannot explain how great these people are. Ron, the owner is super professional and fast to reply - which are two qualities I look for in a company that I need in a pinch (when a rat is in my apartment). I was honestly a bit nervous as I was referred by a coworker and literally every review is positive (which means you are paid to or they take money off), but they were as advertised. Ron had his tech Joe out to our apartment faster than our braindead landlords and Joe showed me explained throughly and with fact based evidence (droppings) that it was actually a baby rat. He patched numerous entry points, set multiple traps, and assured me they would not be coming back. I was not paid nor had a discount for this interview - they are just that good! read more

About a month ago we had a little mouse pop up in our Manhattan apartment. After living in NYC for 10+ years, this is the first time I've dealt with a rodent of any sort, so it's a pretty jarring experience when you see a mouse run across your kitchen, especially when you have a newborn baby crawling around the house. I emailed City Express, and the next morning Ron got in touch, and within a few days a 2 of his team members came over. They were very thorough, filled all the gaps, laid down some traps, etc. Unfortunately a few weeks later the mouse showed up again. Ron scheduled Greg to come back out (today) and he was fantastic. He worked with our building handyman to pull the dishwasher out, as we weren't able to get behind the dishwasher the first time they came out. Ron has been very responsive and helpful throughout the process, and I again can't stress enough how great Greg was. We're confident the job is done and the mouse have no way of getting into the apartment at this point, but even though we don't know for certain, Greg did everything he could on his end. read more

Greg came over to my NYCHA apartment and filled in the gaps. He told me where the rats like to live and where it goes pooping, etc. He was not able to catch the rat but he helped rat proof my home. For that I'm forever grateful. Greg also taught me where to place traps etc - the trap ultimately worked. Without his pointers about where to place the rat trap, I highly doubt I would've caught it this quickly. That plus plugged in holes means no more rats for like forever. Thanks again! read more

They are truly wonderful. I spotted a few tiny bugs near my bed and freaked out. My building manager had an exterminator who came to inspect and claims he saw nothing. A few days later I saw them again, as well as me getting bites. I called them at 4am and Ron answered my call. He was wonderful and told me what the process is. Later that day he sent someone over who inspected and sprayed my apartment. 10 days later someone else was sent and did a follow up. Any questions I have, Ron answers. A great dude with a great company. Would recommend 100%. read more

Excellent. Meticulous. I wasted a lot of money on many professionals. I would have saved a lot of money and had peace of mind must sooner if I had gone with this company. Joe was the only person that pulled out the fridge. That's the type of professional you need- someone that is serious about finding every single hole or access point. Peace is priceless. I have young children. I need someone that has a keen eye and does this line of work with care. Thank you. read more

I used this company for the first time abt 3 years ago. The owner himself answered the call and scheduled a service ASAP. The person servicing the apartment came on time, completed the services and I never had any issues again in that apartment. Before using the company I had anxiety abt coming home, being home etc. When I moved this past year, it was one of the important things on my list to get done before moving in, right up there with installing internet. Again Ron answered, coordinated and even communicated via text which was convenient for me. The person came on time, checked all the perimeters, sealed what needed to be. It's honestly money very well spent for the peace it brings me. Professional, fast, and the job gets done. read more

Great service. At 2AM on a Monday morning I awoke -- to my admitted horror -- to hear, and then see, a mouse flit from my living area into to my kitchen. I left a message during early hours with the company, who got back to me first thing and arranged a service visit for later that morning. Joe, the technician, arrived as scheduled and was polite, attentive, and thorough. He listened to my recount of the incident, did a thorough inspection of the apartment, sealed up two holes, and left me with a good supply of traps. With a follow-up session already included as a matter of course, I feel confident that the problem is now under control and on a fast path toward complete resolution. Thanks! read more

In my apartment I saw a tiny mouse scurry into the heat radiators one late night. I decided to do a search for an extermination company that would be able to take a look the next day because I was so terrified. Luckily City express Exterminating was able to accommodate my concerns and come the next day. The specialist did a full walkthrough of every inch in my apartment and set up traps and barriers in all areas where mice could come in. They explained that I didn't have an infestation and it was probably just an lone mouse trying to find warmth in the winter. I haven't yet seen a mouse again. I'm knocking off one star because they are pretty pricey and I was told the credit card machine was not working which was kind of odd. I do think this should be made aware early on because many people may not keep that amount of cash on hold or would like to benefit from credit card cash back services. Also another reason for the deduction is I was supposed to get a 30 day follow up but didn't receive one. read more

Very rude business owner! I saw a mouse 3 days after the follow up visit, so I called the owner, Ron about the problem, wondering is the technician missed a hole. Ron was so rude, and irresponsible. He yelled at me, blaming me not reading the contact but expecting no mouse after the service. He said if there was a hole, the hole was not visible by the technician. The technician called me later, with a more cooperative attitude. He told me they checked everywhere, and there might be a hole behind the closet which they could not see, and the thing I could do was put some traps and contact the super of the building. read more

I called them late afternoon on a Sunday and got a response right away. Unfortunately, they weren't able to get some one out same day (although given the time when I reached out, I was not surprised and don't fault them for). Someone did visit me first thing the next morning and did a thorough inspection. A follow up is scheduled in 30 days but so far I am happy with the service. read more

While I have had no issues with the exterminator that actually comes to our building, the owner of this company is just a terrible person. I called today to let him know that no one seemingly came to our building as scheduled last week as all our traps hadn't been changed and the person waiting at home for service was never contacted. What I received was a barrage of insults and profanity including calling someone a "dumb c**t b*tch" and telling me he would beat me up. Don't give your business to this company. It just isn't worth it. There are other companies whose service is just as good and won't insult you when you have questions. Just to be 100% clear, I called the phone number on our invoices which matches the number on this listing and the website matches as well. This is most definitely the company that didn't show up for service and then insulting me and my family on the phone after I called to inquire what happened. read more

I'm just seeing my review from last year and this will be very similar, so give City Express points for consistency. My wife, while feeding our newborn, saw a mouse around 3:00 in the morning. By 8:00 am, on what was certainly one of the hottest and muggiest days of the year, Greg was in our apartment and on the hunt. It may be luck that City Express had someone available when we we were in need (twice!), but what isn't luck is their professionalism and thoroughness. And Greg deserves another call-out. He was great. read more

City Express did an amazing job. Highly recommend! Ron set up an appointment the same morning on day that we called. Rich, the technician who came out, was kind, prepared and skillfully went through every corner of the apartment to seal off any entry for mice. The mouse that had been caught in a trap managed to escape before Rich arrived. So he went the extra mile to look behind appliances and in all rooms and closets of the apartment to confirm the mouse likely escaped back where it came in from. He sealed up that opening giving us reassurance our problem was resolved. On top of it, this team is available to come back out if these issues continue and they have flexible and weekend hours. Amazing! Wish we had found this company sooner instead of using the building extermination company! read more

I called City Express frantic this morning after seeing a little critter. Ron answered and was able to schedule a service today. I am so pleased with the job that was done, the exterminator took his time with covering up holes and finding entryways. He answered all my questions, went through the entire apartment and made sure I was happy with the outcome. I look forward to my 30 day visit and I hope I never see one of those things again! Ron called me after the visit to ask how the service went and to see if I was feeling better. I can finally sleep in peace tonight. Excellent service, 100% recommend. read more

Picture this: It's Thursday night, 9:06pm, December 22nd, right before the long Christmas weekend. You are finishing a long day of work in your Flatiron office, alone on your floor, preparing for one more full day of work before the break. Out of the corner of your eye you see a frantic and scary mouse scurrying back and forth on your rug. You scream, and the mouse hides behind the couch. Who you gonna call? Fortunately, I called City Express Exterminating. On Friday morning I reached this company, and my paniced plea for help was received calmly by Ron. He assured me that it was possible, even with the holiday weekend, to send help out later that day yes - Friday, December 23! Richie arrived even earlier than scheduled. He looked over the office surroundings, and professionally and acutely assessed the situation. He explained to me the holes that were allowing for the infestation, and how he was going to stop them. He took extra care to explore any possible openings around the radiator and plugged those as well. We reviewed additional prevention strategies, and agreed that leaving bait boxes were the most that my stomach could handle. He assured me that it was VERY unlikely any more vermin could enter the office, but he would return in a month just to make sure that the holes were still plugged, and the boxes hadn't been touched. Did I mention this all took place on Friday, December 23rd, and that every other company had already closed for the holiday? Living in New York City is a blessing and a curse. The curse is dealing with threats from vermin who don't take Christmas off. The blessing is having resources like City Express Exterminating. They are a first rate company, providing professional, thorough, responsible, and efficient services. I thank Richie and this company for helping me get through the end of the year with my nerves in tact, my business thriving, and with the knowledge that I am well prepared for any rodential challenges in 2017. read more

City Express just finished exterminating and mice proofing our apartment in the West Village right around the corner from Murray's Cheese Shop (Mice HQ in NYC). They did a brilliant job and were extremely thorough. Went around our apartment twice and proofed every single room, closet, corner, nook & cranny. Pulled out all the appliances and base boards to ensure everything was proofed professionally. Highly recommend their service. They also came in a moment's notice which was also VERY MUCH appreciated considering we had seen 4 mice playing soccer with a Tortilla chip the night before. We called them at 11pm on Monday evening and by 7am Tuesday morning they were mice proofing our apartment. The other agency we had called said they couldn't come out for 7 days which clearly was unacceptable. Thanks again City Express! I definitely plan on recommending your service to others. read more

I had a mice issue in my apartment and called City Express to help me resolve my troubles. The dispatcher was extremely friendly and helpufl and offered same day service. The tech. arrived not more than 3 hours after my call and was great! Patched all the entry points, laid down bait stations and set down glue traps. He even encouraged me to follow-up with them if I saw any additional evidence of mice. And, of course, the price was great! I highly recommend these guys and will definitely use them again should I have another pest problem (roaches, mice, etc.). read more

I've used them twice now for mice issues and both times have been excellent. In my current case, Gary was not only prompt, professional, and kind, but he literally checked every place obvious and not for holes. He was helpful and really took his time, which I appreciated, especially since I had to juggle a dog and baby. He found the breach, eliminated it and helped me reset the area. I would absolutely recommend and use them again(hopefully not too soon) Two thumbs way up! read more

Ron really is a savior. No matter how long he's been doing this he understood that for some of us it's the first time dealing with rodents and was very comforting during the process. I was in a time crunch since I noticed the mouse a day before I had people coming over to stay and Ron did the impossible to come in before. I highly recommend this service. All good reviews in this app speak truth to my experience. Even though I don't think I'll have another problem because of how thorough he was, if I did have to call an exterminator again, it would definitely be City Exterminating. read more

Stay away from this place, they are gonna charge you $250 for nothing. Tell you that 30 days warranty and then play word games. Very unprofessional, very rude. Liars. They will even swear at you on the phone just because you are asking them to send someone back to solve the problem. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! You will regret it if you do. read more

We discovered a mouse in our apartment and filled the area with traps. Unfortunately this wasn't enough - we had no choice but to call an exterminator. City express was incredibly helpful, they sent us someone within the same day we called. Joe our exterminator came right on time, was incredibly thorough, and afterwards walked us through everything he had done. He had patched up holes in the kitchen that our own super was not able to detect. He not only patched up all of our holes, but he also sprayed poison in all of the areas he knew the mice had been. He was also able to advise us on whether or not this was an infestation which is what we were worried about. Very professional - we can finally sleep at night knowing these little pests aren't running around our kitchen! Highly recommend. read more

AMAZING mice removal and extermination. I had a very severe mouse infestation as my building management has let the situation get out of control. I decided to take matters into my own hands and hire these guys out of pocket, They did an incredible job dealing with my mouse problem, sealing up holes, and making sure they don't come back. Very impressed and would highly recommend their service. 5 stars all the way! read more

We had a terrible mouse problem in our old apartment where mice were coming in from under the dishwasher, under the stairs, and under the HVAC units. City Express came in, figure out all of the "secret" entrances and patched up all of the holes -- even the ones we didn't think about. They also laid down bait traps and gave us advice on why the building's glue traps weren't working (mice were too used to them and had figured how to get around them). The exterminators were extremely thorough, enough that when we moved into a new apartment, we called them again, to mouse-proof the new place. They did an examination, told us where there might have been a rodent problem in the past, but told us that the real problem was insects. Because we asked for a mouse-proofing that ended up not being needed, they threw in a pet-safe spraying for bugs. Great service! read more

The crazy heat wave brought out a SWARM of ants in my garden apartment. INSIDE and at 9pm on a Saturday night in July. It was seriously a Twilight Zone experience, there were thousands of them, winged and not winged. It was overwhelming and a bit scary. I called around to a few exterminators, skeptical and wary as I have dogs and am not a fan of toxins in the household. Finally, I got a call back from a guy named Steve, from City Express. He was attentive and caring and immediatly assuaged my fear of the problem, as well as the toxicity of the pesticides at their disposal. My questions about fees were answered a few minutes later when Steve's call was follwed up by his boss, Ron, who owns the company. He too was polite and clear, the price was acceptable and the choice was clear that these guys were the ones to handle the problem. So, Steve showed up in a timely fashion and really took his time with the process, patiently sucking up every last tiny invader with his extermi-vac and then treating the perimeters and injecting the wall facing the garden. He was confident, capable and at ease, which greatly assuaged my nerves about the whole event. He then placed everything back where it was, and cleaned up perfectly after himself, leaving me clear instructions about when the area would be safe for the dogs again. The level of professionalism and respect was unparalleled. Without hesitation, I will use this company again should the need arise. Highest reccomendations. Thank you Steve and Ron!!! read more

I had a problem with mice due to construction in the street around my apartment. I called after hours and the technician arrived in an hour. To reserve the technician, they ask for your credit card number, and you have to pay by check. The technician Rich was great. I told my super the mice were coming in from under the stove and from a hole in my pantry closet. The super told me moving the stove would be a big job and they'd have to tear down my counter. Rich pulled the stove out and filled the holes, 1-2-3. He went around the whole apartment to find entry ways like radiators and filled holes and set up glue traps and bait traps. He explained everything he did. And he's very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend City Express! read more

After spotting a mouse in my apartment, I called City Express on a Monday night at around 9:00. My technician, Steve, arrived about an hour later and spent close to two hours thoroughly inspecting every inch of my studio apartment. He sealed up all possible access points and patiently answered all of my questions. He was very professional and made me feel like this problem would be resolved quickly. Once he finished going through the apartment, he laid out bait stations and traps, and took me on a tour through the apartment to explain the work he had done. Two weeks later, I am thrilled to say that I have not seen a single mouse since that night! I would highly recommend Steve, as I truly believe his expert attention to this situation nipped the problem in the bud. read more

We had an ongoing mouse issue in our first floor Hoboken apartment for about 2 months. The condo building we live in has an exterminator come quarterly, who would throw down traps and poison- which did nothing for the ultimate problem. I called City Express, they gave me a quote over the phone, and we set up an appointment for that coming weekend. The guy who came did an extremely thorough job- he didn't seem rushed, pulled out every appliance, looked in every crevice. Found the entrance points and filled them with copper mesh so they wouldn't eat through. He also took the time to explain how to prevent future problems and how to watch for signs of mice returning. It has been two months into winter and we have been mouse-free. I can finally stop walking on eggshells because of my mouse-phobia :) Thanks again to City Express for doing such a thorough job. read more
