The structure is the exact same as it was when it was a functional rice mill in the early 1900s.

It's a historical place in Katy and it's very unique and has kept the place as authentic as possible. It's such a nice location with really fun events that cater to families, kids, adults, young and old. It's too cool of a place to miss out on. I definitely recommend checking it out at least once.

Great drinks and a one of a kind atmosphere in the heart of Katy. Service is off the charts fun and knowledgeable.

Super excited this place is open again, great space to hang out or have events. Fun drinks and lots of flavored vodka options to try. Great conversations with the bartender manger. Looking forward to coming again!

Nice outdoor bar area. The fans and shaded bar made for a comfortable setting even if it is hot out. All the cocktails were great that we tried. Julep and old-fashioned were the standouts. They don't have it on their menu, but they do offer flights so you can sample each of the spirits they make.

"Welcome home" is typically what you hear when you step inside. The owners are always so welcoming and the bartenders are always serving up something yummy. When you walk in, you go through a covered area to the bar and the sitting area, which is covered, but open. The tables are spaced apart enough to make you feel comfortable, so you can enjoy your drinks without getting accidentally elbowed by anyone consuming too much moonshine. My family frequents this place around twice a month and we love it because my kids can play the games they have there while the adults drink and they're still close enough for us to watch and make sure they're okay. I also love the fact that it's one of the few places I have felt okay with going during covid. I haven't been inside of a bar or eaten inside of a restaurant since last March and this place makes me forget about the pandemic for a few hours. You get to get out of the house and be around others in a safe setting and that's such a great feeling! There's normally a yummy food truck and some sort of live entertainment since they're only open on Saturdays and Sundays, so stop by and grab a box car punch or a wassail/apple cider with cinnamon moonshine and get a bite to eat from one of the yummy food trucks. You'll have a good time knowing you're supporting a local business and you'll be happy because you're drinking some delicious liquor.

It was my first time checking out the distillery this weekend and I liked it! There is a lot of room for everyone to sit outside. The drinks are very strong. I had one and I had to slow down right after that. There was a food truck in the back that you can order food from if you're hungry. I look forward to coming back again!

MKT is a distillery which is about taste, ambience and experience. If you are a whiskey drinker, then definitely do not miss out their specially aged whiskey called "Engineer". The distillery is located right in the middle of Rice Silos of Katy which is definitely a Historical location. The staffs are very friendly and the owner Nicky and Nick are very knowledgeable. Good selection of cocktails they have.

What a cool place that is preserving this area's history! We tasted all the different varieties and bought a bottle to take home. This is some of my favorite local bourbon. All the liquor was very good and unique. Ask for a tour and you get to see how they make it, all the best history of the silos and the giant scales. It's really neat! It's a good atmosphere and the people are so friendly. Will be back to support!

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

That said, the noise level was a bit too high for my taste. Our waitress was fantastic--very attentive and friendly, which made a big difference. The food was tasty and, in my opinion, worth the higher price point. I wasn't very hungry, so I stuck with appetizers for dinner, and they did not disappoint. Overall, I'd definitely come back, especially to try the steaks next time.

I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office.

I could see the staff were bust but something needs to be reigned in her on serving tables. Great staff though, excellent. The adventure was topped off with a slice of the most amazing key lime pie, courtesy of the chef. We will definitely be returning!

Judge it by their menu…read more Table for 2 and our baby for Mother's Day Brunch. $42 per person for a 3 course brunch, sign us up! $55 for premium experience, even better! But wait, there's more....... The exterior could definitely use some work. Host stand plopped outside. Inside felt a little crowded. Wine cellar-ish. Mother's Day, a bit chaotic for all restaurants. Took 10-15 minutes to be greeted after being sat. No big deal, I get it. Santiago was great. We did the mystery mimosa experience which was fun! We go to order our food and BOOM!! This is where they get you. It was all a lie. A very deceiving menu written in a way where you think you're going to get oxtails and jollof rice plus appetizer and dessert for $55 per person. Because that's a great price, not really a deal, just a great price. WRONG. Santiago had to clarify that it was $55 EXTRA ON TOP OF $42 PER PERSON. SO $97 PER PERSON FOR OXTAILS AND JOLLOF RICE, AN APP & DESSERT. RIDICULOUS! TOTALLY DISHONEST AND DECEIVING. Write it as $55 additional per person, so everyone knows what they're getting into before they reserve their table. Because Santiago admitted everyone he served that day was shocked at the additional cost. Not wanting to ruin my wife's FIRST Mother's Day, I brushed it off and still continued with the order. Appetizer: tequeño & empanada. Bland, came out cold and after our entrees came out. Entrees: Oxtail & Jollof rice. I loved it. Flavor was great. Just wish there was a lot more. For $97, you expect to have 6-8 large oxtails and a side of rice. What i got was 4 very tiny oxtails and a full plate of rice!! Peri peri chicken & jollof rice- flavor was nice and smoky. But again, for $97, you expect more than 2 avg size leg quarters and a full plate of rice. Dessert: They were out of key lime pie by noon. I saw the cheesecake, it was a thin plain slice, so we opted for their seis leches cake. It was not good. It was not soaked enough, very dry. The reason the score wasn't lower was because service was great, the entrees tasted great and they gave each mother a single rose and Mother's Day card which had a pin in it that said best mom ever. Which made my wife's day even that much better. Thank you Chef Casey. But I don't think I would visit again solely based on the deceiving menu and small portions that are not worth the additional cost.
