No Label Brewing truly sets the bar high for breweries. Located in Katy just off Interstate 10, NBL makes its home at the base of several historic silos, giving the space plenty of character. The expansive outdoor area is lined with covered picnic tables--perfect for kicking back and enjoying some fresh air. On weekends, the courtyard comes alive with families and friends gathering to soak up the sunshine while sipping local brews or enjoying a bite to eat. During our visit, multiple food trucks and vendor booths were on-site, offering everything from homemade banana bread to cigars. While I don't typically drink a lot of beer, their black IPA was a standout--rich and dark like a stout, but finished with the crisp bitterness of an IPA. A really interesting flavor profile. Worth a stop. A good number of beer choices. Gilly's is my go to because I'm usually there for a couple hours and don't want to pound IPA's although Cali Boy IPA is quality. Best beer they ever had was Hit King honoring Pete Rose but they have never brought it back. 4 stars is because no kitchen and they could do SO much more with the space. This is for the beer garden only!! This place is great, plenty of open area to sit and catch up with friends and very kid friendly. They even have a play ground for the kiddos to run, jump and play. They have a very good selection of beer ranging from happy to very high abv beer. The only down side is the food trucks. There were only two, a pizza place and a birra truck. I tried the pizza place. It was 14 and some change for a personal size pizza that was not good at all. I would say go for the beer stay away from the pizza. read more

Nestled in the remains of downtown Katy TX (where I grew up when it was still actually a rice factory and railroad supply). Off the old railroad tracks. Right by an old Rice factory. You can find No Label. This is a place that is completely family and pet friendly. You can basically spend the whole day here and not get bored. Kids? Playground? Old places to explore? Buehler? The live music is always great! Please be sure to tip those guys. They are just out there doing this for fun, but you would be remiss if you did not take part and letting them know you enjoyed them being out there no matter who they are. OK. Let's get to what what everybody wants to know about. I'm already ready for another down here. Beer. I've been here too many times to list off all the beers that I have tried. The hop solo is one of my absolute favorites as is their seasonal 2022 and 2023 vintage. I think they're already out of the 2022 which was my personal favorite. But the 23 is excellent, the IPA is amazing, the stouts are awesome. Hell! Everything here is basically great. We were lucky to get here in time to pick some crawfish and stuff our brains out. The weather was amazing. The girls had fun and my baby looks beautiful. Plus I got to return to my stomping grounds. And I am a sucker for dogs. Petted every one I saw. The bartending staff is amazing and friendly. But they know they have a job to do so please don't take up too much of their time. Just pick a beer. They are not shy with the pours (American flag Stanley for reference ) to let you taste almost almost anything. Their allocated may not be available for the sample. Just get the damn beer drink it. Eat some food. Listen to the band. Put on your sunglasses. Soak up some rays. Mic drop. Rock solid five stars! If you love breweries like me, No Label Brewing should definitely be a spot for you to check out. There isn't many options in the way of breweries in the Katy area, but NLB has been around for awhile and doesn't look like they're going anywhere anytime soon. When I see their stuff on tap around town, I will usually order it. Their brewery is located on the far end of Katy, close to Katy Mills and is just a tad bit off the beaten path. It is located right off the railroad in an industrial looking area, complete with some old looking silos. The building itself isn't fancy, neither is the tap room, but that's part of the charm. They have a great outdoor space with lots of tables, playground for the kiddos and space for activities. They also have rental options if you want to rent out part or all the the taproom with different packages according to your group size. As far as the beer goes, they have their year rounds as well as their seasonals. Their year rounds are solid. They have won many awards for their hefeweizen which is one of my favorite go to beers here. I am not a big IPA guy, but theirs is good. Their seasonal beers are always fun and I like that they use local restaurants or vendors to achieve some of their great flavors. They also have lots of cool swag here as well. If I like a brewery, I am buying their t-shirt! It's a little out of the way, but if I am in the area, I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Headed towards Houston for the weekend, we took the opportunity to stop in at No Label Brewery. It's a large roomy area, good amount of seating inside and out. Quite a few TV's around the room. This place has some of the best selection of merchandise and it's displayed on the walls throughout. They have a very nice beer selection, we had a couple of their West Coast IPAs, good and tasty. The place was busy, they had a couple of different parties going on, still plenty of room. The lines were quick and overall well worth the stop. We stopped by Label Brewing for a drink before heading to Weimar, Texas for a weekend getaway. It's a laid-back brewery. Our friends tried a few different drinks and were neither impressed nor disappointed. They have food trucks offering a variety of options, including tacos, Thai food, and pizza. The service from the food trucks was quick (We got Thai food, and the pad thai was disappointing, can't recall the name of the place though). There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, plus a little playground for the kids to enjoy. read more

One of my favorite breweries in the Houston/Katy area. So happy that I live so close to them. They do event all the time and the food trucks they get are some of the best. Everyone that works there is super nice and the beers are very good. They have tons of seating indoors and outdoors. They do shows and events all the time that are so much fun. Bingo is a blast and I love the markets they do. Great for the family. They have an area for kids to play which is nice. We only had time for one beer (tried an IPA and an ale each) but we are putting this on our list every time we visit Katy. I think they're dog friendly too. This place is your typical brewery. Huge outdoor patio along with two indoor areas. They're not fully enclosed, but we came during the winter so it felt great! They had covered patio areas and plenty of tables along with a playground for the kiddos. I could do without the kids, but for those of you that with a family, this is a very kid friendly spot. The most unwelcoming brewery in Houston! Came with my wife and three kids early afternoon on a Wednesday during summer. Let me preface this by saying I've been to nearly 40+ different breweries. Upon arriving there seemed to be signage everywhere about no outside food or alcohol. Ok...that's understandable. But then you notice a sign is stapled to every table. Strange. We walk to the bar where the bartenders don't acknowledge you exist when you approach them. Odd. I asked if they do flights. No. Half-pours? Nope. They serve a "full" 12oz glass. Weird. (Breweries serve 16oz pints normally) But if I want a pint I would have to purchase a souvenir cup instead. They did at least allow me to sample 3 beers, but after each sample request, I felt like I was making the bartender even more annoyed. I think he was having a really bad day and made sure I knew it. The place was pretty empty BTW so it wasn't like we were holding up the line. I sure felt like I was though lol. Thankfully at least they'll have water somewhere available for the kids because it's Summer and it's Houston and it's hot. I asked where the water was (because every single brewery has free available water to pour for children, patrons, and pets. It's pretty much a standard.) NO. They had bottle water. So we bought the bottle water. Later I noticed a woman had a cup of water for her kids. Weird because they told me I had to buy bottled water. Went back to the bar, asked if they just serve water in a cup. The other bartender begrudgingly said yes, but "you'll have to fill it up at the water fountain next to the men's restroom." And handed me cups. Alrighty then. The beer itself was solid. Nothing stood out other than their Rye IPA and El Hefe Hefeweizen. The other beers were ok. Standard selection from light to heavy beers and a sour ipa which I was too scared to try. Every time I came back to get another drink, the bartenders wouldn't say anything...like at all except to confirm my name for the tab. It was weird. Example: I approach the bar, the bartender stares at me. "Hi, I'd like to get the El Hefe." Bartender quietly goes to fill a glass. Returns with a filled glass. Stares at me and says my name, I say "yep, that's me" and he pushes a few buttons on his screen, then goes back to staring at me. The playground for kids seemed dangerously located next to a concrete platform and is a accident waiting to happen. Don't worry, they have signage letting you know you're responsible in case anything happens to your child in case you forget. Overall, it was the weirdest unwelcoming brewery I've ever been to. The location seems to have been around for awhile, and it's starting to show...in a negative way. I've been to a lot of breweries and this one has to be the biggest disappointment. I was genuinely excited to visit because I have had their drinks many times at other beer gardens. Definitely never coming back and probably won't order their good tasting beer at other establishments because this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The parking lot is not paved & has TONS of potholes, sucks after the rain because it is so muddy. Overwhelmed by flies EVERYWHERE! Please consider more fans or some treatment on the property! We love coming to this place! We have been coming for 2.5 years now. We also participate in the community events that take place here (bingo, 5ks...etc.). I love the variety of food we get with the food trucks! The beer is yummy and we also purchased some awesome silicone cups that aren't breakable. Every one here (including customer service) seems friendly and they are very family/pet oriented. The place always seems clean and organized. The only thing I would ask them to fix is to put an enclosed fence around the playground. I watch my children every time we come but a fence around the playground would definitely seem safer for the kids. Especially, when it's more on the crowded side. Fun place to gather with family and friends. Great beer is brewed here with lots of options. I am into IPAs, which they supply in several good variants. Food trucks also onsite to provide some options to choose for eats - although we haven't tried any yet. Knocked down to 3 stars for recent changes to the place - 1) They serve beer in little plastic cups, which doesn't amount to much - no where near a pint. 2) Now if you want a pint like they used to serve, you have to purchase a pint glass and use it for refills. I guess you just have to bring your purchased pint glass back for future visits. Not a good move. 3) In addition to the food trucks, there are some people who wander around the place from table to table selling things like grocery store cupcakes. Not a good move here either. I would bring back the previous setup and cut 1-3 above to restore the place to its former glory. read more
