The shrimp, potatoes, and green beans were perfectly seasoned with just the right kick, and the crawfish were fresh, juicy, and coated in a rich, spicy boil that had us going back for more from the scholars and scoundrels truck! The casual atmosphere made it easy to relax, laugh, and enjoy time together, and sharing a big can of crawfish made the whole meal feel like a fun family event instead of just lunch. I've been wanting to come here for ages. I had their Blueberry Cream Ale a while back with my grandfather at a bar, and had bookmarked it ever since. I finally got to go and check it out in New Years Day! We checked out the Magical Winter Lights in Richmond, and hopped on over afterwards. It's a little out of the way, but worth the stop. Arriving. They have a pretty open parking lot. They have a lot of outdoor seating and a food truck outside doing all of their kitchen work. Inside it's pretty spacious, a good amount of seating around. Since it's New Year's holiday time, everything was in Christmas decor. They have pool tables and darts as well. They only had one person work in the bar when we were there which was fine with us, there was only our group and a couple of other people coming and going. Their kitchen is in a truck outside and they have a pretty full menu. The food is actually very good. We had the avocado burger and it was fantastic. They also had spicy fried pickles that were pretty good. Of course, I had to get my favorite beer on tap for my first drink, and then we took a look into their cocktail menu. They had a lot of different old fashions available. So we pretty much tried the majority of the menu but at some point. The only downside was that because of some issues they were having with their equipment, they only had two of their own brews on tap. I'd like to come back when they have more. Our group came here after viewing the Magical Winter Lights in nearby Rosenberg. It's quite hidden and you wouldn't find this place unless you're expecting it, especially at night. They were open on New Year's Day with full service - there were a few parties seated outdoors but we were the only one indoors so it was pretty quiet. I started out with the Fulbrook Blueberry Cream Ale to drink, as I had heard great things about this. It was definitely unique but good! It wasn't too creamy and the blueberry flavor came through well. Honestly did not taste too much like traditional beer, so it can be dangerous! I then perused over the cocktail menu, in which they had a series of flavored old fashioneds. A lot of these were unique and fun! The cocktails are all very reasonably priced, at $12-15 for an old fashioned and less than $10 for other cocktails. I opted for the Peanut Butter Old Fashioned, which was probably one of the best old fashioned's I've had. It's made with Skrewball peanut butter whiskey and they add 3 peanut butter balls in the drink, which was a nice touch. For food, we went with the Spicy Fried Pickles and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Nachos. The fried pickles were great - pickle chips were thick and breading was just right. Red pepper flakes are sprinkled on top to give them spice. The nachos were pretty basic: nachos made with cut-up chicken tenders and bacon bits, drizzled with a queso ranch dressing. I wish these came with some sort of veggie like pico or even a dollop of guac. There was only one bartender working the bar and a couple other staff members circling around on other duties. Understandable since it was probably a slow night for them. Our bartender was a bit surly with us at first, but she slowly warmed up as we ordered some drinks. With that being said, our drinks (cocktails in particular) did take a minute to come out since she was a one-woman show. The food, on the other hand, came out very quickly. Fulbrook is definitely a good, affordable, local spot with lots of weekly happenings. Lots of offerings and the old fashioneds are great! I'd be interested to try out their steak night (Thursdays) or $0.25 wing night (Tuesdays) if I happen to be out here again...with an old fashioned of course. read more

A group of friends stopped in on New Year's Day on the way home from attending an event. There were very few people here, which would make sense given that it was a holiday. Inside gives the vibe of a dive bar but larger and plenty of seating. Our first drink was the blueberry cream ale. It's a great light beer without skipping out on the flavor. The friends I was with really loved the variations of the old fashioned. They had the banana bread, peanut butter, and the gingerbread old fashioned. Each one had a really flavor that added some sweetness to the drink. I also ordered their mule, it was good but went a little heavy handed on the ginger beer. We also got food while we were there. The spicy fried pickles were delicious, a nice balance of heat and savory. We also split the avocado burger with tater tots. Everything was good for typical bar food. It was a nice spot along the way, but pretty far from where we live so unsure how often we'll come back. If you're an old fashioned person, you should definitely check it out though! read more

I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and a beer before driving to SA. I could tell right away that it's a nice family oriented establishment. There was plenty of seating and lots of fans to keep the outside heat from warming it up too much inside. A decent selection of beer and a food truck right in front. Don't waste your time. They advertise lies. We drove an hour after calling to confirm they were selling crawfish. Some lady answered the phone that didn't even know the prices. She failed to tell us the kitchen closes at 8:30 pm. What's the point of saying you close at 10:00pm. We told the very smart lady that didn't have a clue about anything that we would be driving an hour. She told us to come on that they had plenty of crawfish and they would be open. After arriving we were shocked to see two drunks at the bar. One old lady behind the bar said the kitchen was closed. Come to find out the kitchen is a trailer out in the gravel parking lot. She was rude and quick to say they didn't offer anything other than drinks. I hate that they completely wasted all our time and didn't seem to care one bit. I wouldn't spend a penny here. This place has great beer! I haven't been in a while and last time they made burgers and hotdogs there. I stopped by a Sonic for my underaged guest to have something to drink while we were there. They did comment on no outside food or drink and let us keep our Sonic. That was nice of them. One thing they really need to do is get a paved parking lot. The back part is all grass and dirt. I have an all wheel drive car but my friend who drives a Honda Civic got stuck in the mud. A hero in a Jeep came by to bump him out of the mud. My husband and I just left their Fat Tuesday 2.99 Crawfish. We usually love their food and have no problems. I am not sure what happened, but we waited 3 hours for crawfish, and half of it was mush at the bottom of the bucket. When we asked the working manager (blonde lady) to comp the food since we waited so long and half of it was inedible, she was extremely rude. She did not apologize or give us any discount. I don't think any customer should be treated that way, or have to wait that long for their food. It was busy, but we've been there during busier times and have never had this issue. Four of us went to check out steak night and trivia. The first question to be ask is how much fat can be in a piece of meat and still be called a steak? I have two regrets, going in that place and not thinking to take a picture. I cannot begin to think how any establishment could put that slab of fat in front of a customer. We paid our bill and one of the folks I was with said never again. If you like really salty veggies, fat with a little meat, extra extra loud music, sweaty guy throwing plates down on the table, no one ever ask how we were doing and hot air, you will love it. Nice open brewery with lots of good beers. We also tried the crawfish here. It was $6.99 a pound with a 3 lb minimum. Friendly staff that even came to our table to take our order. Warning: do not get the spicy flavor for crawfish unless you can really handle the heat. Our mouths and fingers were burning trying to get through the crawfish. The crawfish meat was really fresh and juicy so I would definitely try the non spicy flavor. Lots of outdoor seatings but if you're worried about COVID literally nobody here wears a mask so I'd go somewhere else if you're worried about that. read more

I've been going here since they first opened and I've seen them continue to make improvements to serve their suburban community. The patio is dog friendly, they have food, and their crowd is diverse and welcoming to ALL. On Weds during the season, you can't beat their crawfish price (get them spicy). read more

Went in recently for crawfish and beer. We got the red white and brew beer and 6 lbs of crawfish. The beer was nice and light which was refreshing. The crawfish were really good. What knocked them down to 2 stars is #1, the staff were rude and unfriendly. We felt very rushed while she was taking our order, ahead of walked off right in the middle of us ordering with no explanation. They seemed short staffed. Then it took 2 hours to receive our crawfish. After above an hour and half we went up and told them it took another 30 minutes. Not one apology or explanation. She just threw the buckets of crawfish onto the table. The crawfish were good but not good enough to wait 2 hours. read more

The atmosphere here is simply awesome. I love our other local bars too, but I haven't found anything as unique and laid back as Fulbrook Ale Works. My friend and I would hit golf balls at the little local range across the street, and we'd pass this awesome looking brewery always saying "we gotta try that." We finally did. And it did not disappoint. A quick FYI, and they'll let you know when you go, it's a brewery, not a bar, so they can only serve their own brew, so don't expect you favorite "go-to" when you get there. But with that said, just ask one of the employees and they'll give you their recommendation that'll match your taste. They even have a new lite beer called "All Light, All Light, All Light" (nod to Matthew M). I personally liked the Cream Ale - Blueberry (and I'm not a big beer snob!) I've met the owners a few times when I went, and they are always friendly, and willing to answer questions about their brews. Feel like playing a game of pool or darts with your friends? They got it. They also have a new (well new to me) on the outside. There is also live music out there from time to time. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 was because I wasn't crazy about the bar food they served at the time, but I've heard that's improved, so I will give it another shot and update my review should it be better. Again, I highly recommend this place for anyone in Richmond, or Ft. Bend County for that matter. It's one of my go-to recommendations for people coming to the area. read more

Loved this place.Lots of variety in beer options and even some good ones for non-beer lovers. The pickle beer, jalapeño beer, blueberry beer, and the beer-rita were all great! Got there an hour before it closed on a Sunday--the lady was very nice and accommodating. No outside food allowed. There's a food truck there but they shut down an hour before closing. Wonderful brewery tucked a little off the beaten path. Great mainstay beers, good rotational selection, friendly staff/owners (Jeff and Jeremiah), lots of seating room and outdoor play area for the kids and they're pet friendly. They also have a large collection of comics/graphic novels and games to play. One thing to note, it's an open air facility, so it can be a little warm on those Texas summer days, but the recent addition of the "Big Ass Fan"™ means there's a constant cooling breeze and it does the trick. I was lucky enough to get in on their mug club (a benjamin for a limited-run handmade clay mug that grants you one free beer a day). I should have bought two! Otherwise, it's three beers for $15 with a pint glass you get to take home! Come on by and bring the your friends, your kids, and your dogs! Time well spent! read more

Fullbrook has a really great atmosphere and a great selection of beer: some niche selections and experimental brews here and there, plus a solid lineup of regulars (examples: cream ale, lager, and farmhouse ale). It's a very open concept building, family and pet friendly, and a winery is in the works...a nice environment with a good breeze whether it's hot and sunny or windy and raining. There are often great food trucks on weekends and ofun events from local vendors (safe axe throwing, anyone?). Any given time: big screen TVs, jukebox, darts, and an arcade game or two. I've been here twice now and I don't have a single complaint. Although this is a fairly new brewery, it has so much potential. The place is clean n the bartenders are friendly. They have a play area where the kiddos can play which is great if you have kiddos. The beer is great as the cups say "smells good. Tastes good. Is good." I like the ginger peach beer they have.
