This is my go-to lunch spot a couple times a week. Great fresh produce, friendly staff and good service. The salad-makers are always smiling, patient and answer all questions. I usually make my own salad for the sake of variety, and it is a pleasure to deal with the staff each time. My only complaint is the noise level. The location has high ceiling and 100% hard surface, so sound carries and echoes, and the music they play makes the ambiance unpleasant. I wear earplugs because it is worth it to enjoy a great healthy lunch, but they could make some improvements here. read more

My go-to drinks are the turmeric carrot agua fresca and green apple-butterfly pea. I get them at least twice a week, they're so refreshing but I hope they make it sugar free. My husband had the crispy chicken salad bowl and really enjoyed it. I also love their caramel cookie. It's a little too sweet for me, so I only get it when I'm seriously craving something sweet! read more

Received a salad via UberEats from the Yerba Buena MIXT. I ordered kale and was shocked to see that the greens were wilted and yellow. Totally unsafe to consume and an absolute waste of all of the other ingredients. If this kale had been in my personal fridge, there is no way I would have consumed it. Do not trust a SALAD joint who cannot keep their base ingredients fresh and not questionable. read more

This was a convenient location for us as we were staying for the Fourth of July at the Four Seasons Hotel, which is adjacent to this Mixt. Despite it being about a half an hour to closing at 9pm the restaurant was clean and the two employees helpful and receptive to inquiries about the different options, even offering samples of the dressings before deciding. The salads were good. My wife purchased the salad with the salmon and I got the grilled chicken and both were delicious, though I would rank Sweetgreen a little higher in terms of flavor and offerings. You can't go wrong, however in going with Mixt for a good healthy meal. read more

I haven't been into salad bars lately. Still, I like eating leafy greens made by Proper Foods. Not all ingredients in the open stayed fresh forever. At least the salad bar workers had done tirelessly their very best to serve health pursuing customers like us. I had my first salad box followed by a grilled chicken torpedo sandwich, which was all thanks to online discounts from its app. I never spend much time in its spacey atmosphere since I went for takeout. Therefore, all I did was to try sharing some of my healthy meals to my family when they need them the most. read more

MIXT - Salad Near Me - San Francisco, California

Been here from time to time throughout the years. It's not bad but definitely inferior to the likes of Evergreens, Sweetgreens, Fresh & Co or even the Uk's Salad Project. Why? It's pricey and not as tasty. The usual salad shop ingredients are here. Typical proteins, veggies, dressings and the like. I'm struggling to think of anything they have that's all that novel clamored to the competition. Maybe Caramelized onions? The taste when all put together just isn't very memorable. Their dressings play a big part here as I've never had one that stood out. I just had their peppercorn ranch dressing and it commits the cardinal sin of many ranches out there - it's more sweet than herby. Nooooo Yeah. In a pinch it'll do but you'll probably have a better salad at many of the nearby restaurants that have some on the menu. read more

Food: 3 Decor: 3 Service: 3 Came here for a quick lunch with a friend. Overall, solid fast casual salad spot that's like Chipotle but for salads. ORCHARD kale, mixt greens, grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, apples, sharp cheddar, avocado, toasted almonds, savory herbs, balsamic vinaigrette 850 cals 4/5. Like a cobb salad except kale instead of tomatoes. Nice mix of flavors and quite filling. Service was okay. My friend is vegan, but they put grilled chicken in his vegan bowl without telling him (apparently there was a promo), which was surprising. read more

I placed an online order of the Mandarin salad for pick up a hour in advance. When I arrived to pick up my order was not ready. The cashier was able to find my order in the system but was not sure why my salad was not made. I waited about 15 mins where she made my order in between the long line of customers she was checking out. The salad was OK, I love the organic veggies, chicken and sauce was fine. Very expensive for the portion size. I paid $18 for this. However I love that you can customize your salad if you're counting calories. read more

MIXT - DESIGN YOUR OWN SALAD - Salad Near Me - San Francisco, California

If you're looking for a fresh, healthy, and satisfying meal in downtown San Francisco, look no further than MIXT! Our group tried an assortment of their salads and warm bowls, including Dave's Taco Bowl, Bachan's Bowl, the Mediterranean Bowl, and some build-your-own creations--every single dish was packed with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and helping us customize our orders. The restaurant itself is in a prime location, right next to the 4th Street Marriott and within walking distance of museums and other attractions. The area is clean and safe, making it a great spot to stop for a quick yet nutritious meal. MIXT offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and we appreciated how well-maintained the space was, including the restrooms. They also have a great selection of cold drinks to pair with your meal. Fair prices, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere--this place checks all the boxes! We'll definitely be back. read more

Me and my husband felt all the nastiness in our mouths after eating the salad. Specifically we ordered the "mandarin". We didn't even finish the salad and had to pack for the environment. Ofc still hungry afterwards. He had to eat a Sumo orange to wash down all the nastiness. 1/5 for MIXT. 5/5 for Sumo. read more

Great healthy food, outstanding and very fast and outstanding service. Will be going back to this place soon.

This restaurant is located in an outdoor courtyard just outside the Marriott hotel (near the Contemporary Jewish Museum). The setting is modern and inviting with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. There was no wait to order on a Sunday afternoon, with hardly any customers in sight, and service was sufficient. The mixt crispy was a pretty good chicken sandwich. The condiments actually stood out to me, the pickle slices had a strong tangy flavor and I really enjoyed the herb mayo. The sandwich as a whole was satisfying and unique. The mandarin salad was large in size, filled with lots of fresh ingredients and juicy delicious chicken, my bf couldn't decide where to stick his fork, too much good stuff in every bite. read more

I ordered the Mandarin salad here, and it was a very large portion size, but it was mainly lettuce and filler vegetables despite the fact I paid extra for grilled chicken as a second protein in addition to my main protein, the marinated tofu. I'm not a dressing person and usually don't add any to my salads, but the dressing that came with the Mandarin salad was pretty good, and the dish really needs it for more flavour. This isnt the best or worst salad I've had, but I'm glad I tried it. read more

Move aside Sweetgreen! I really loved MIXT and the experience eating here. Good: - The protein rice here was surprisingly good - Loved the customizability of the bowl - especially liked the sauces and the protein options - I got avocado and also the cauliflower and all the veggies were delicious - Great portion sizes for the prices Bad: - Lots of people inside so pretty noisy - Pretty casual experience, nothing special and counter service Overall really like the options here and would come back read more

This is just a review of their crispy cauliflower since I didn't try their salads. Do not get this item. I was thinking it would be freshly fried, but it was just sitting in a bucket that they then dumped onto a plate. It was soggy, and most of it was just batter. For about $7 per order, they are making a killing for such an abomination. Even the dipping sauce wasn't too tasty. Service was nice, and overall, the establishment is clean, but please do not get this item. read more

My review is to provide feedback to Mixt management to improve the customer service and food portion. As a regular customer of the Berkeley Mixt location, I have experienced a decline in the portion sizes. It has never had, IMO, good customer service. If you order to go, a small size of bread comes with your order, but you have to request it. They should at least ask you if you want it. The staff is not necessarily rude, but they look cold and unfriendly. I'm attaching a photo of my last visit. It's time to spend my money in any of the many food places in the area. read more

I tried this place one time and my salad had a full stick in it (I guess that means it's fresh ¿). That was fine, but my partner's sandwich was really bad. I don't even think it ended up being eaten. SOS the grilled chicken needs to be cooked a lot more. They're serving pink chicken that has blood on it... this is absolutely unacceptable and the federal administration association should look into it because people are getting sick with someone from this place with that said the salads are good amazing ingredients. Great food though not as consistently healthy as it once was - I miss the fish option and weird to have fried chicken! Other than that a good value by sf standards with tasty options like baked falafel crumbs - and indulgent cheeses like both fear and goat cheese. And terrific service especially Gerry who isthe lead. He always cheerful and remembers I like Mixt. read more

Every so often, I would sometimes come to grab a salad to-go here. I don't normally get salads all the time, but I can definitely agree this is a pretty solid place to grab a box. The service here is pretty fast. The line usually isn't too long so it's a good opportunity to come and hustle something for a quick and easy lunch. They have a pretty good list of things on the menu (with preset salad choices of course), and you can even create your own custom salad as well. I usually don't have the patience to pick out whatever I want for my salads, so I usually just pick whatever they have on their menu and go with that. And the stuff I've gotten were pretty good! I ended up getting the Falaf and Mandarin Salad. The boxes were generously packed and you can definitely be satisfied with the entire box. I also really like falafels so I definitely gravitated toward that. I also really enjoyed the tahini sauce that it comes with. Overall, pretty good place. Fast, clean, and efficient. If you're up for something clean and healthy, definitely come stop by. read more

Ordered a steak salad -- the meat was basically fat cuts and chewy, balls of cheese, everything overcooked and soggy. This was the last straw, not ordering Mixt again. It's been hit or miss for a while, but for the price they charge, they should have fresh ingredients, at least read more

This is not it. In terms of taste, vibes, service and price. No Ma'am. Taste - go to sweet greens. Objectively a salad is pretty standard but their dressing has no flavor. The best thing in my bowl was the tomatoes and that from nature. Vibes - they provide silverware to conserve but where do you put the silverware when you're done? There was no bucket to collect used forks (also they do a real bad job of cleaning the silverware). They have a small trash can that can fit maybe 5 of their containers and then it overflows. Flies literally everywhere. Theres 3or 4 tables in the corner that can only fit 2 people each. So no big groups. Service- This is supposed to emulate a fast food chipotle style salad place. The service is supposed to be subpar and quick. Tell me why when the worker asked for the next person (and I was the next person) they served 2 white men before me (a POC female). The two white men weren't even together. Ok if it was 1 person they didn't see me. But it was 2 the first time when she said next I raised me hand and she pointed to the guy behind me. AND IT HAPPEND AGAIN. I raised my hand and they took the order of someone behind me. EVEN WHEN I FINALLY GOT MY ORDER. They rang up 2 white people before me. Fuck this place. Lastly price- for a decent salad at sweet greens you can pay $15 with protein. Here I paid $21 for a sad tasteless salad. read more

And this is why. I am from out of town. I am at the parade. I heard how good this place was. I love how big and juicy the elote salad is. But it's petty and morally wrong to close down the bathroom to their paying patrons. They have closed it because of the parade. They don't want Random's using it. This salad was $18. I would pay another $18 to just use the bathroom. I am disappointed in management that makes these calls. I am in management too and this is horse sh!t! Thank you for the beautiful salad but this is an awful way to treat your customers!!! I see their employees using the restroom, but nobody else can. read more

I recently went to Mixt Downtown for a late lunch. I have been a longtime vegan or strict vegetarian. I realize plant based options are much more popular nowadays than they were when I first became a vegan more than two decades ago. Not everyone is going to be a vegan or vegetarian yet vegetable forward is here to stay as people want to eat healthier. I love the concept of Mixt for they offer customizable design your own bowls w/ high quality plant based ingredients. The ingredients on hand feature many varieties of organic greens: mixt greens, kale, butter, lettuce, baby spinach, arugula, & romaine hearts. All the other ingredients are local & seasonal except for the roasted red peppers. Designing your bowl here is an art yet luckily I had the help of manager Anchalee who gave me some helpful tips to making my bowl. I opted for purple barley & kale as my base. I chose the following five speciality ingredients: edamame, herb roasted potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash, & roasted mushrooms. I opted to mix in the savory mix (parsley, chives, & tarragon). To dress it up went w/ Anchalee's suggestion of the lemon tahini. Went medium dressed for it per her suggestion. The bowl was awesome, flavorful, & healthy. Probably the best customized barley kale edamame roasted veggie bowl w/ lemon tahini I ever had in my life. Thanks Mixt! Thanks Anchalee. I will be back. read more

MIXT as in formerly known as Mixt Greens right? Yes, that is the correct place and it wasn't crazy packed either. This location has been open for a while but I somehow avoided going in for a "salad" up until now. I used to go to a different location and by 11:45am the place would have a line out the door. I am starting to get selective on what I'm eating and processed foods are out. The idea of a bougie salad for $15 had always crossed my mind as questionable. I had the orchard salad which was very delicious. That was a very large serving of kale, mixt greens, grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, apples, sharp cheddar, avocado, and toasted almonds. I asked for vinaigrette dressing on the side instead of specifying how heavy I wanted the dressing to be. Always good to have options and if you're not in the mood for any of the salads offered on the menu, you can customize your own by picking the ingredients. You remember that bougie salad comment I made earlier? Well I take it back because sometimes you gotta treat yo'self. read more
