    BYO salad with chicken

Average when you're in a pinch and want some leafy greens but wayyyyy overpriced for both the portion and flavor. And no free bread like other salad places either.

    My beautiful custom SALAD
    Marissa T.

Absolutely loved my salad from Mixt! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The tofu was perfectly marinated and creamy, with just the right kick from the dressing.and the quinoa added a nice hearty texture. I also appreciated the variety--crunchy cucumbers, fresh greens, and edamame gave every bite something different. The green dressing on the side was zesty and refreshing. It's a great mix of protein, greens, and grains--definitely a satisfying and healthy meal. The vibe inside Mixt is clean, modern, and upbeat--perfect for a quick lunch or casual bite. There's a good energy to the place without it being too loud or overwhelming. The staff were super friendly and patient while I asked about ingredients, and everything moved efficiently even during the lunch rush. You can tell they care about quality and keeping the space tidy.

MIXT never fails to make a knockout salad. Their consistency across locations is excellent, they give generous portions (one salad can easily be two meals, especially if you buy a few extra fixings on the side), their roast veggies outclass all other fast casual salad joints and their employees are unfailingly polite (and often give another dressing or ingredient in the house). I especially love the customizable salads, but the preset dishes are good too (especially the Mandarin with tofu as the protein). They are lightning fast and the price point is exceptional (it makes a grocery store salad look like a splurge!). I have special love for their cauliflower and lime crema dressing (with a supporting cast of corn, crispy onions, kale and scallions), but have enjoyed most ingredients I've tried. Some of the locations aren't super vibey as a hangout but their takeout focus makes that forgiveable. That said, Mill Valley and the Inner Sunset are both great and I hope to try the Salad Lounge in the Mission. Try MIXT. You won't be disappointed. PS their house hot sauce is fire.

Mandarin missing mandarins and other ingredients. Achiote chicken jerky on the side (beyond overcooked and dry).

I wanted desperately to love this place but our recent order was so botched I have to say something. We got the grilled achiote chicken and to say it was overcooked and dry would be a vast understatement - it was chicken jerky. Avoid meat nearer to the end of the day - who knows when it had been cooked. This stuff could have been from the day before. I got the mandarin salad and it was missing a lot of ingredients including the star of the show... mandarins. My wife had a harvest salad and they got her ingredients all right. On the positive side besides the chicken the rest of the ingredients were fairly fresh, clean, and tasty. The dressing was totally worth it and I'd say rescued the meal from a 1 star review. Also the restaurant itself has excellent parking and is a nice looking place. So again, skip the meat unless you are getting it at a time when there's a lot of traffic and they're cooking the stuff fresh. Consider skipping a unique meat and go for a standard like grilled chicken instead, Check your salads before leaving the restaurant if you're getting takeout. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

How great, don't miss this easy spot in #MillValley #glutenfree options!

It's OK I actually really like this chain but this restaurant food was mediocre compared to all the others I've had in New York and San Francisco. Nice location and I have to go in to the heart of Mill Valley nice little courtyard a little noisy but yeah it's it's a very average mixed but God knows Mill Valley uses something like this thanks

    The photo on their website

Yes, the food was ready when I came to pick it up, and the person there was pleasant enough (smiled as I walked out the door with the box). But the portion size? Miniscule. What they show on the website bears no resemblance to what you get. I am not a big eater, but this was pretty ridiculous. Take the little BBQ sauce container out and it's less than 1/2 full. Come on, MIXT, do better! This is lame! Taste was mediocre except for the crispy onions.

Got there around 3pm and was told that a table for two would be about a 30 minute wait, so it was not as bad as we thought it would be, considering that the whole parking lot (which was probably the only downside; it being made of gravel and without distinct parking designations making finding a spot incredible difficult and annoying) was full. The inside vibe was great, with tons of people drinking/eating and having a good time. When we got seated, we ended up ordering just a few oysters and a 3pc fish and chips. The oysters were pretty good and fresh, with a great vinaigrette on the side to pair with them. The fish and chips, however, were the obvious stars of the show. The fish were nice and golden, with a very crisp texture, and more importantly large and generous. The fries were nicely seasoned and plentiful. The fish was really tasty (you can choose the type of fish depending on what they have on hand, and some cost extra between $2-$10. We chose the standard option for the day: Rockfish), easily one of the better fish and chips I have had - just an incredibly simple, but well executed dish. While the tartar sauce was a good pairing, the real standout pairing was Hook Fish's own carrot habanero hot sauce with the tartar sauce and the oyster vinaigrette. I have never had something like a carrot based hot sauce, but it really works by contrasting the spiciness of the habanero with a slightly sweet carrot undertone. Strange, but it gave the classic fish and chips a unique twist that sets it apart from the competition. While eating we saw tons of different dishes fly out the kitchen as well, such as poke burritos, large portions of chips and salsa/guacamole, and fish tacos. After the experience we had that day, we will be forsure making another round back to Hook Fish to try some of their other options. Their fish and chips are a must.

Watershed can be found in the Mill Valley Lumber Yard, which also has a few cool shops, a toy store, wine tasting room, ice cream spot, and more. Also, the World Cup was on and patrons were enjoying watching the game(s) inside too. If we were to come back, I would def sit outside with a group on a nice day. Outside there was corn hole and lotsa tables to enjoy a casual meal and vibes. Our party ordered a round of margaritas, and menu standouts included the burger, fried chicken sandwich (the paprika aioli is stellar), the kale salad (topped with chickpeas, quinoa, walnuts, and more), grilled cheeses for the kiddos, and the "Burning Love" pizza. There's a little bit of something for everyone on the menu here, and everything was so fresh, comforting, and just elevated. The meat in the burger was something to highlight, and I loved the thick cut fries. I would try a pizza on the next trip like the "Swim Club" served with Calabrian chile honey, or the "Peach Pie" because why not, it's summer! Service was okay, but it was also such a busy time of a day that everyone was just doing the best they could. All in all, highly recommend if in the area and looking for a lovely time/afternoon.

She was super accommodating and attentive without being overbearing. Once we told her what we liked, she immediately knew what to recommend and guided us through the menu perfectly. You can tell she knows her stuff. We came specifically for happy hour (we're definitely HH aficionados) and made it our mission to try everything on the menu. While the chips & dip were good, they're something you can find elsewhere, so not necessarily a standout. Everything else, though? OUTSTANDING! The hummus, whipped feta, and muhamarra were next-level--easily some of the best we've had. The CN burger sliders were also a hit--we had one each and they were so yummy that next time my husband is already planning on getting two. The drinks were on point. The espresso martinis absolutely fueled our afternoon in the best way, and we also tried the creamsicle cocktail and the shrimp Za'atar from the regular menu--both were super delicious in their own way. The ambiance was great, and the bartender was clearly on top of things, which always adds to the overall vibe. One thing worth noting: happy hour is now only offered Monday-Thursday, but Sydney was kind enough to honor it for us on Saturday since the website hadn't been updated yet. That level of service really sealed the deal for us. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish--great food, great drinks, and even better service. Easy five stars.

It was a weekend, loud and full to capacity and we had fallen off her radar for over half an hour. It seems with the success, Corner Bar may be at a crossroads: deciding whether to focus on the high energy and crowds or on the great service and positive experiences that keep customers coming back.

First of all, we came during an off-hour, around 3:30pm, and there was still a line to order at the counter. They provided complementary ice water from a dispenser outside with cups, which was really nice. Once we placed our orders, we stood outside with everyone else as the indoor area is pretty small with only limited counter seating at the window. We waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10-15 for our food. Most people set up camp on the tailgates of their cars in the parking lot, so we did the same. Pro tip: some people brought camping chairs and coolers to make it into a real tailgate, which I thought was really cool. - Pollo al horno: ordered the Large plate which came with generous portion of chicken, white rice, choice of fried garlic plantain or sweet plantain (or one of each), side of beans (choice of black or pink), and a side salad. Chicken was marinated very nicely and wasn't too dry. - Bistec encebollado: ordered the Large plate also which came with the same as above. Steak was cooked well and surprisingly tender enough to cut easily. Both plantains were good but I really liked the garlic one because it was different than the sweet plantains I'm used to. The Large plate portion sizes were huge! Although the price did reflect this, I think it was still worth for the amount of food given.
