We came back this year and as always the food was amazing. Started off with crab cakes for the table delicious bites of tender crab meat and the salad/slaw that comes with it was so good. I ended up gettin the mussels and scallop entree which paired together so well with the savory grits they come with. We also go the Tuna and Halibut specials and the steak frites which is always delicious. Amazing food as always. And our server Mark was super personable and fun we had a great time. They asked how I wanted it cooked, which isn't usually something I get asked about salmon, so I said to cook how they normally would. It was probably about medium inside, still tender and not overcooked. The salmon had a strong grill taste but not enough seasoning and the fishy brown part was still attached underneath. The mushroom risotto and carrots were cooked and seasoned well. Overall, there wasn't anything major wrong with the meal, but I felt underwhelmed for the price tag ($36).

So we found ourselves having to ask about several dishes before being able to make a selection. Maybe it is on purpose but it made me a bit uncomfortable to keep asking about preparation of the dishes throughout the courses. The only real negative for us is the same negative we had 10 years ago. We were seated in the porch area and I suspect they fill this area first as it has wonderful views of the Camden Hills. Both times we have been seated in there, there have been loud, fairly obnoxious diners (#-bombs flying this last visit) in the room with us. Complete turn off but nothing the restaurant can do about it. We will try Natalie's again but will forgo the porch dining for another room.

Have returned twice since then. As the menu is small and hasn't changed since my first visit, the charm has worn off. I usually share the roast half chicken plus 2-3 sides. The meal was absolutely flavorful on my first visit but not so much the last visit in Dec 2025. Maybe it was a bad night? I thought the flavors fell flat and service was not as attentive. I was celebrating the holidays by treating friends to dinner and had to wave down someone twice to order rounds of drinks. I will give any establishment 20 stars if they are paying attention as to whether your glass is half empty. This spot has been feeding people since 1974, and you'll understand why in one bite. The lobster roll is the move, dressed simply so nothing gets in the way of the sweetness. It's a fraction of what you'd pay at a sit-down spot on the harbor. There's no dining room, just a few picnic tables scattered around the lot. It's not fancy. It's wonderful. It's the kind of stop that makes a long drive to Bar Harbor feel like part of the trip instead of an obstacle to it. Grab a roll and find a table in the shade.
