As per other reviews, this is a real local's haunt--the cashier was greeting half of the customers by name. In any case, the haddock chowder was both exemplary in how the haddock was cooked, and probably my favorite New England-style white chowder I've ever had. Well-seasoned, creamy without being too thick or lumpy, and a great amount of haddock in there too. (It may be at least partly nostalgia, though...for those of you who've been to Scotland, it's not far off from Cullen Skink!) read more

Had lunch at Scott's Place after walking around downtown Camden. Wife ordered a Lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. I went with a Crab roll, and we shared some fries. Meals came out after a short wait, we planned to eat on a nearby picnic table. Had to go back and ask for ketchup and utensils. Lobster roll was alright, a bit small in size though. Crab tasted too salty for my liking. Clam chowder lacked flavor and was lukewarm, at best. For $53 and change, we were underwhelmed. Not sure how this place gets all these good reviews, that simply wasn't our experience this afternoon. Seems more like a place where locals come to eat burgers and sandwiches, and they have sub-par lobster & crab rolls for the tourists. Sorry Scott, that's disappointing. read more

We stopped by for the first time for lunch recently and noticed a sign indicating it was celebrating its 51st anniversary. The hot dogs were decent though the roll was merely heated, not grilled to any extent, and the chili sauce, heaven forbid, included beans. We won't be returning. read more

CASH ONLY!!! Our mistake that we didn't realize this was cash only before showing up here. There was an ATM in the complex however it was out of service. Luckily we had $10 cash on us and were able to get 2 deluxe cheese burgers which had mayo, lettuce, and tomato. The burgers were small, similar to fast food style but the price made it worth it. I didn't realize you have to ask to have ketchup on your burger, so the mayo that was on it from the deluxe option was fine. This little shack is in parking lot with other establishments. Interesting little shack, this was our first stop for lobsta rolls. The prices were incredible, and we found out that it's due to the small size of the food. The quality was decent, but I'd compare it to bar food, do not expect a sit down restaurant. They did have picnic tables for anyone hoping to eat there, and the service was quick! Although I wouldn't walk from downtown again, I would stop if I was already passing by. read more

Walked across the street from The Blackberry Inn and picked up a lobster roll, burger, fries and onion rings to bring back to our room for lunch. Food was really good - nice simple lobster roll without celery or onion mixed in - just the way that I like it. Prices were surprisingly low. Met the elder owner (sons inside running the place now) while waiting for our order and had a nice chat. Definitely recommend. read more

Fast, reasonably-priced food. Scott's Place isn't much to look at, but your food will be ready in under 10 minutes, and it will not require you to empty your wallet. If you want to eat while your food is hot, then there are picnic tables in the parking lot and some of them are shaded under trees. I ordered the haddock melt and mozzarella sticks. The haddock melt was simple with only tartar sauce and cheese, but it was fresh and flaky. The mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce were average. Overall, I would recommend Scott's Place for a fast, inexpensive meal. read more

You cannot beat the prices here. This little food stand is in a parking lot surrounded by a few picnic tables. The lady at the counter was polite and took my order after I decided on the lobster roll. 10.99 and you get a lobster roll on a hot dog bun with lettuce at the bottom for a nice crunch. Good amount of lobster in it too. I was very happy. They have crab rolls, tuna rolls and salmon rolls too. Burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and few other sandwiches and wraps. Also, a few sides like fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. So thankful for Yelp as I never would of found this gem! read more

As a native I have to say that we were very disappointed with or burgers on 3-18-2022. We ordered and took off premise to eat or would have returned them, The rolls were not toasted, just plain from wrapper. The burger is clearly just a frozen patty that was not cooked through, but cold in the middle. The frozen fries tasted as they were cooked in old oil. Will not be in a hurry to return. Who are the people writing these reviews? Friends and family. This place is Mediocre at best. I was staying at the Blackberry in right across the street and waited for him to open up just because of the 5 star rating. Pulled up and liked the little set up he had. Orders a lobster roll and a crabmeat roll and 2 root beers. I enjoyed the root beer the best. At the lobster roll in 3 bites gone kaput. At the crab meat roll and there was something in it. Don't know if it was a sheep or crab scale but it was hard and I did not want to look at it because I may have thrown up on the spot. So I spit it in a napkin with the rest of the roll and threw it away. Why didn't I complain you ask well the truth is it was sooooo cold out there that it was easier just to take the loss. Food was blah , service ahhh , price ok I guess location cool. I would rather pay double and get my money's worth. Anyway Scott I won't kill your rating by giving you a 1 star rating maybe you were having an off day but I was honest in my personal review of your establishment. SOLID SANDWICHES. Traveling the coast of Maine, my wife and I stopped here on the way through Camden and Rockport. Camden was crowded and almost all the restaurants had waits as the end of summer crowds were still present. Heading up the road, we found Scott's Place and swing by. Positive reviews were dead on as the sandwiches were very well made with made with just the right amount of turkey (not paper thin and not 3-4" thick). Prices were very fair as well. Service was quick and friendly. Do not drive by - keep a lookout for this small shack for a very good meal! read more

This place is a "hidden" GEM. You kind of have to know it's here, unless you happen to stumble upon it after hitting up Reny's, a Maine Adventure. For locals, it is a staple. Their ~$4 cheeseburger deluxe is out of this world - surpasses In N' Out and Shake Shack (from someone who has lived on both coasts). Their crab and lobster roll are also solid choices. read more

Love this place! I've been going for the last 20 years every year I come visit beautiful Camden. A hot dog is only $1.99 can't beat that! They have outside tables so you can enjoy shade or sun.
