A lovely restaurant with just as lovely food! The interior was warm and inviting and there was an outdoor patio (raining when we went so we did not get to sit outside). All of the servers were attentive and checked in on us often. We started with the bread service. The bread was soft but I felt the olive oil and herbs were a bit bitter. Next up we're the oysters which were extremely fresh and briny. The mignonette had chili pepper but this was not spicy at all. The crudo was presentation was cute - in little lettuce cups. However, the crudo bites itself tasty very fishy which was not ideal. The fried zucchini was awesome! Fried on the outside and the sauce was a little spicy. The tagliatelle was great. I don't normally enjoy rabbit but the meat was soft and the noodles were tender and cooked perfectly Al dente.

I've been twice, the first time was for my best friends birthday and it was a total flop, rude waitress, inflexibility on where they allowed us to sit, sub par food. The only redeeming factor was our drink server Allison. It was because of her kindness that I decided to give it another try with my husband. The second time around was much better. Allison was still there over a year later (they are lucky to have her) and she was fantastic. The food was excellent, the service sublime, the wine delicious, and the fresh off the Italian farm olive oil brought me back to my olive picking days in Italy. Fabulous all around.

    Time for dessert!

We live in Camden and Nina June in Rockport is one of our favorite restaurants. A super cozy and beautiful spot... The food is always amazing, unique and flavorful. BTW...the antipasto board is top notch. The drinks are always great and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. Oh, and dessert is always a must! Homemade gelato... yes please! We always enjoy our time there and look forward to bringing our family and friends, when they visit us here in Maine.

Delicious! We got a reservation pretty easily and really enjoyed our meal. Portions were great and our server was so sweet and helpful. Can't wait to come back!

Charred kale salad with tahini sauce

100000% recommend! Had an absolutely incredible dinner here tonight. The ambiance is gorgeous, the food is delicious and the service was top notch. Jeff was our server and he was kind, attentive, funny and so nice when we stayed a bit after closing to finish dessert. 1. The house made bread is delicious, moist and well baked. Tasted great dipped in the olive oil and the Greek yogurty tasting mix with the spices in there was quite good 2. Fennel salad with grapefruit was good, would be great on a hot summers day. It was cold and refreshing and everything tasted fresh 3. The charred kale salad with tahini was DELICIOUS. It was warm and rich and unbelievably good with the tahini sauce underneath. Highly recommend 4. The Cavatelli with lamb ragu was INCREDIBLE. Such a delicious and flavorful rich meat sauce, licked the plate clean. Highly recommend 5. The spaghetti with smoked roe and breadcrumbs was ALSO INCREDIBLE!! It was flavorful and an amazingly delicious combo of the salty roe and perfectly seasoned breadcrumbs. Highly recommend 6. The cheese board was 100% worth getting. It was more of that delicious bread with scrumptious choices of 3 delicious cheeses that paired BEAUTIFULLY with the almonds, figs/dates and cranberry sauce. I was in heaven TOTALLY COME HERE AND ORDER ANY OF THIS STUFF AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! The wine was delicious too especially the desert wine. Jeff was an amazing server. Really just a top notch place

Went to fix price menu last Saturday. Worst meal I've had in memory! Three hundred dollars and I left hungry! Two oysters ok,salad a joke, worst risotto ever! Like thick oatmeal. Lamb was small balls of fat with horrible side? Halibut was so small two bites no flavor. Paid for wine pairing. I know this was a tasting but two sips with my lamb? This meal could have not cost Nina $25.00. I have eaten at great restaurants around the world. Not my first rodeo. Love mid coast restaurants but this was overpriced and underserved. So disappointed!

Further reading boasts that they've received multiple awards and accolades, though the last one seems to be from 6 years ago. (As they say, time changes everything.) After walking around the beautiful grounds and event spaces, the young hostess who greeted us told us confidently that we would not be disappointed. Such hype and a charming setting could be a set up for disappointment, and it was. The friendly and attentive waiter tried to recite the specials but had to check his notes and wasn't certain about some ingredients or pricing. We chose the toast special "with house-made bread, cheese and seasonal berries". Immediately after ordering it, he asked if we wanted the bread service as well. We just ordered the toast . . . It was thin bread spread with bland cheese, a few macerated strawberries, a drizzle of balsamic and some greens on top (because you always put balsamic glaze and a few greens on top at an Italian-inspired restaurant?) Cliché, bland and no way those were local strawberries this early in the season. I like a simple starter but that depends on having flavor. (We had better avocado toast for breakfast at Joe's Flat Iron Cafe in Skowhegan a few days before.) Next we shared the Farmer's Salad, appetizingly and nostalgically served in a hand-turned wooden bowl. The crisp, fresh greens were radicchio, frissé, and romaine with house croutons, shaved Parmesan, pork belly pieces and a tasty dressing. Good effort overall but 1) what local farm produced those greens in early May ("ultimate farm to table"?), 2) I'm over trendy, greasy and sinewy pork belly replacing good, crispy bacon and 3) It was a simple salad I could have made at home. Where was the wow? We again went with the seasonal special for the main - house-made ravioli stuffed with house-made ricotta, lobster pieces and vegetables in an herb infused oil. Sounded great, looked good but another bland disappointment. The vegetable on top (garnish?) was roasted pea shoots that were dry and stringy. Sautéed cabbage was mixed with the raviolis. A flavorless filler. But kudos for including locally foraged fiddle heads to add seasonal color and interest. The pasta was well made but the cheese filling was just bland. As was the colored but flavorless herb oil. (And now I understand why Italian cooks say cheese doesn't go with seafood.) We asked for salt, got a strange look but they brought it. I have to give them credit for carefully crafting an uplifting and appealing setting. The gardens, event buildings, main house and dining spaces have an intoxicating atmosphere. And they clearly have their fans. (A woman at the next table who was eavesdropping on our conversation about the pros and cons of the food pointedly said to us as she left so that others could hear "I hope they got your meal right".) Bless her heart. Fine to support the home team (Maine plates on her car) but it's good theater more than great food. Overhyped and too expensive for what it is.

I selected Opa because of the other great reviews and I like Mediterranean food. I was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I came in and sat at the bar. I initially got a Greek coffee which was made to order, hot and delicious. Ava, the bartender, was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more. I ordered the falafel dish and was quickly brought a plate of warm bread and olives in oil. Both were outstanding! Looking over the menu, I noticed they had a few Greek wines so I asked Ava about one interesting one that had hints of fig and tobacco. She immediately poured me a sample to taste and it was delicious so I got a glass. My meal came and it too was really outstanding. Every bite was delicious. To add to my experience, Ava put the Bob Ross channel on the TV above the bar so I got my art experience too. Later, the chef came out and talked to me for a while about travelling to Greece to really study the cuisine. He was clearly continuing to immerse himself in the culture to further perfect his already highly skilled craft. I would highly recommend Opa. What a wonderful total experience.

**November 2025: Friday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were wandering Wiscasset and were in need of a restroom. We couldn't find one and decided to dine in to use their facilities. I think we were among the first diners and realized that the restaurant was really nice and had such a wonderful view of the water. Our server was incredibly kind and hospitality. She informed us that the soup of the day was clam chowda to which both of us wanted right away. The chowda was flavorful and had a good amount of clams (many other restaurants choose to load it with potatoes, but not this one!). The soup does lean more brothy versus gravy-like which is a personal preference but taste wise it was still soothing. The menu had a lot of really great seafood options so I decided to try their Maine mussels. Our waitress said that the broth was really wonderful and would pair nicely with garlic bread which I also ordered. The entrees came out pretty quickly and the serving size of my mussels was double what I thought it would be. The mussels looked massive and the meat was as fresh mussels should taste. It was an excellent dish. The garlic bread would be a great vessel to soak up the mussel broth, but I felt that the bread was a little thin and slightly over-toasted to really soak up the broth. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the overall experience and it does feel like a local spot.
