So after a failed attempt at going bowling at imperial bowling (no indication it's closed for good but it's all boarded up!) we came here to eat lunch. It's such a great diner , both in atmosphere and food. Very attentive staff. We really enjoyed our meal ! My husband got the footlong hot dog with onion rings. I got the kid's chicken fingers (so they are friendly to adults with no stomach to order off the kids menu) and they were some of the better chicken fingers I've had. When we are back in the Berskshires, we will definitely be back! read more

I came to this diner for my annual visit and am so upset over the treatment I received from the manager Bonnie and our server Kelly. I was not happy with what I ordered and when I told Kelly she said " well I'll wrap it up but I still have to charge you for it because there is nothing wrong with it". I asked to speak to a manager so Bonnie the manager came out and as I tried to explain to her she interrupted me would not let me speak and said to me " I don't want to hear your mouth I'll just take it off your bill". I have never had someone speak so rude to me at a restaurant. She really needs to take some programs on how to deal with the public. Really good. Staple diner fair with a an artificial 1950s feel. What elevated it for me was a couple of simple things. The fries were hand cut, not frozen. Really outstanding experience. As a NJ native, diners have an almost impossible standard to live up to in my mind outside of the Garden State. However, from the neon, to the juke box, to the menu and service, this place delivered. In true diner fashion, came at breakfast time. What a nice mom and pop kind of place. Wait staff are very friendly and were there to assist you if you have any questions about the menu or would like any suggestions. All their food is homemade from scratch and very delicious. I ordered the apple moon cakes which is homemade pancakes with apples, actually is one huge pancake that is the whole plate with apples on top. With it I ordered hash; which takes a few minutes to prepare since they make it right as you order, it was good but not use to fresh hash like they served it. I like my cooked with some crisp. I wanna go back and try some more fresh tasty options. It's worth a drive from anywhere. The little town or area in general has plenty of historic things to do to make a nice a trip out of it. read more

You will never have an empty cup of coffee at this diner. We were visiting friends in the area and they suggested this spot for breakfast. We had an array of benedicts between the 4 of us. I absolutely LOVE the hollandaise sauce here! I would have licked the plate if i could! My eggs were poached perfectly, and they were able to sub in a sausage patty for me. My friends and I met here on a three-day weekend Sunday. Although I anticipated a wait, we were seated immediately (around 9:30am), but when we left, people were waiting. It was more spacious inside than it appeared outside. The decor is fun and retro. All the staff were welcoming and pleasant. Service was quick, but not rushed. Although it was early, two of us ordered burgers. We were both happy. I had the Danny's Bomb Burger, ordered well done. It was well done, not overcooked, not undercooked. This is actually a pretty big deal as I rarely get the kind of burger I asked for. The burger itself was very tasty. The fries were good, too. I would have liked for them to have been a smidge crispier, but that's preference. My Coke actually tasted like a Coke and not syrup water. One of us ordered breakfast and she was pleased with her meal, too. She ordered the bacon cripsy and that's how it came. I didn't try her food, but it looked fresh and tasty. Went to Misty Moonlight Diner for breakfast and will NEVER go back. There was 9 of us that were split between 2 tables. We moved the tables together so we could all be together. An employee then told us we were not allowed to move the tables then proceeded to seperate them once again. Food was terrible, service was terrible. Waste of money. read more

The best biscuits you will ever have! I was out running errands and hadn't eaten. It was late lunchtime (1:00) and I was in the mood for a quick portable breakfast but not from a fast food place. I was able to order online. Their online ordering system is fantastic and is very detailed so you get exactly what you want, how you want it. I ordered a biscuit and sausage patties a la crate. I didn't realize the side was 2 patties - bonus! What a great sausage biscuit sandwich! The sausage patties are large and fit perfectly on the biscuit. The biscuit is so light and fluffy. Hubby said it's the best biscuit he's ever had. (I need to up my game!) My order was ready super fast and I was back on the road running my errands in no time with no mess in the car. The biscuit held together nicely and did not break apart or crumble and somehow managed to be light & fluffy at the same time. The staff was friendly and hustling as they were busy. I looked around the dining room. Customers were all happy and smiling. Great place for families, couples or flying solo. Love the vibe here. My wife and I enjoyed the food and service in this reto dine so much this morning that we wanted to buy one of their attractive mugs as a keepsake. We asked both the hostess and our waitress about the mug and were told by both that they cost $15.00. We asked to have one added to our bill. Our bill came but instead of $15.00 the price of the mug was now $20.00. When asked if this is correct, our waitress said yes the price went up and she can take it off the bill if we don't want it. We bought it but still surprised us that after being told by two employees the same price that this diner's policy could be so consumer unfriendly. To the business owner, you are telling your customers to not trust what prices you are being told or maybe not even what's printed on your menus. read more

I love the atmosphere and I love the food here. I'm in Pittsfield for 10 years, coming from Ct it hits all my diner expectations on both those fronts. That said, if I get stuck in the back down-ramp area with my kid one more time I'll never be back. Service down there sucks. I get it, he was young and you didn't want to disrupt other patrons so you assessed him as a risk, but he's well mannered at restaurants and sticking us back there with long (sometimes very long) wait times only riles him up. You're creating your own problem in that scenario. read more

I went to the restaurant with two small children for lunch. After about 10 minutes the server took our order. After another 40 minutes wait with no update I asked the server how much longer we would have to wait for our food. The server was unapologetic about the wait and gruffly responsed that the order would be "just a minute". Another 10 minutes passed. By this time one of the kids was starting to cry she was so tired of waiting. After a total of 50 minutes we put on our coats to leave. The server came rushing over and insisted that we pay for the juices that the kids had had. So I paid the bill and left for McDonalds where we had food 5 minutes after we arrived. Food should never take more than 30 minutes to get to the table in diner. And there is no excuse for disinterested and rude service. Nice little retro diner with nice clean atmosphere and pleasant staff. However I had a simple breakfast "scramble eggs" and honestly a little seasoning would be nice. Not any seasoning whatsoever.. who cooks anything without any seasoning at all . I guess that would be the cook at this diner!! I'm no chef but try a little salt and pepper. It's amazing what that will do to a simple dish like scrambled eggs.‍ I mean it's only a few ingredients eggs, milk salt pepper. If I could give a negative number I would. The lowest I could give was a one. I went with my three adult children and we ordered three burgers and one Belgian waffle the Belgian waffle came with a hair on it while the waitress was still at the table we saw the hair and send it back the rest of us ate our burgers and the waffle wasn't returned until we were done it was a full 10 minutes and then the waffle was soggy like they just put the same waffle in the microwave. Then when I received the bill the waffle was still on there so I paid eight dollars for waffle no one ate and my daughter was very unhappy. I will never go back again it was disgusting read more

this diner doesnt even deserve one star. So dirtyy i put my hand down on the table that i just sat at and jelly stuck to me. I looked around me and a lot of costumers were unhappy 2 complained that there food was taking to long. The waitress came to me with food all over her apron, my family owns many diners and that is not the way to present yourself to a costumer. But i have to be honest she was very friendly and attentive. But overall the food was horrible and it took so long at least 30 minutes and it was not busy. My mother and i ordered a burger and the fish and chips and the bun for my burger was black and my burger was so small it couldnt even fill the bun. My friend and I are are looking for the best burgers. The Misty Moonlight and Danny's Bomber Burger was one for us to add to the list. The Danny's Bomber Burger is topped with American and provolone cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing. Having no interest in coleslaw, I ordered it with sauteed onions instead. It a comes in 1/4 and 1/2 lb. sizes and a side of fries. We spent the extra $1 to get the spicy fries, which were well worth it, if your into spicy. I love spice but if it has Chernobyl or 5 alarm in the title it to hot for me. Dipping the fries in catchup cooled them enough for me. The burger is big, juicy and messy and I loved every bit of it. AND $2 of it goes to the Daniel Lennon Memorial scholarship Fund which is given out annual to a deserving Pittsfield high graduate to continue their education.
