Very nice place. Simple yet tasty breakfast. I had the Western Omlette. It as tasty and I was able to get the toast replaced with fresh fruit.

So after a failed attempt at going bowling at imperial bowling (no indication it's closed for good but it's all boarded up!) we came here to eat lunch. It's such a great diner , both in atmosphere and food. Very attentive staff. We really enjoyed our meal ! My husband got the footlong hot dog with onion rings. I got the kid's chicken fingers (so they are friendly to adults with no stomach to order off the kids menu) and they were some of the better chicken fingers I've had. When we are back in the Berskshires, we will definitely be back!

Great little diner a little off the main road. It wasn't too crowded but people came in and it was pretty full when we left. I decided to try the Godzilla (12 eggs, 16 "fixins") and maybe got about 3/4 of the way through it, it was good with plenty of fixins (Mushrooms, Peppers/Onions, Spinach, Cheddar Cheese, Swiss Cheese, American Cheese, Provolone Cheese, PepperJack Cheese, Roasted Red Peppers, Tomatoes, Broccoli, Kielbasa, Bacon, Sausage, Ham, Sauteed Onions, Feta Cheese). My wife and parents had some of the other items off the menu and everyone enjoyed what they had.

What a nice mom and pop kind of place. Wait staff are very friendly and were there to assist you if you have any questions about the menu or would like any suggestions. All their food is homemade from scratch and very delicious. I ordered the apple moon cakes which is homemade pancakes with apples, actually is one huge pancake that is the whole plate with apples on top. With it I ordered hash; which takes a few minutes to prepare since they make it right as you order, it was good but not use to fresh hash like they served it. I like my cooked with some crisp. I wanna go back and try some more fresh tasty options. It's worth a drive from anywhere. The little town or area in general has plenty of historic things to do to make a nice a trip out of it.

My friends and I met here on a three-day weekend Sunday. Although I anticipated a wait, we were seated immediately (around 9:30am), but when we left, people were waiting. It was more spacious inside than it appeared outside. The decor is fun and retro. All the staff were welcoming and pleasant. Service was quick, but not rushed. Although it was early, two of us ordered burgers. We were both happy. I had the Danny's Bomb Burger, ordered well done. It was well done, not overcooked, not undercooked. This is actually a pretty big deal as I rarely get the kind of burger I asked for. The burger itself was very tasty. The fries were good, too. I would have liked for them to have been a smidge crispier, but that's preference. My Coke actually tasted like a Coke and not syrup water. One of us ordered breakfast and she was pleased with her meal, too. She ordered the bacon cripsy and that's how it came. I didn't try her food, but it looked fresh and tasty. The menu had a lot of options without feeling overwhelming. We really enjoyed our experience here and look forward to returning.

Shelly is behind the griddle and cooks up a storm. Tourists, keep in mind that this is not fancy with music and artwork for sale on the wall. This is a real diner with counter stools and booths. I had the Greek Eggs for breakfast, which is a delicious combination of Greek spices, potatoes, sausage and other yummy treats. Toast comes with it (sadly not gluten-free), but you need to order and home fries, etc. I like that. You pay for what you want, not some inflated plate of extras. Note: you won't see the Greek Eggs on the printed menu. Ask for the specials. Greek Eggs are always there. My wife loved the raisin French toast. She said that it did not need syrup. This may be the smallest diner we've visited (one of them, at least) but it makes up for that in quality and attention to the customers. A few booths and a few tables on the right, a half dozen stools at the counter, and the magic shop along the left wall. There's a bit of counter / bench, a sink, a prep area, a cooktop, and a grill. It's clean, efficient, and full of friendly people (staff and locals). The breakfast menu is simple: eggs, pancakes, French toast, omelettes, and the usual sides. We got 2 eggs over easy, one with bacon, one with sausage, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly (they look more done in the photo but were nicely runny) and the bacon was crisp and smoky. I didn't get to try my be wife's sausage, but (a) that itself says something and (b) she said it was really good, not the "supermarket" grade that some places serve. Coffee was good, staff were all super friendly - I would definitely go there again.

An absolute hidden gem in New Lebanon!…read more OMG, what an adorable little cafe! We were in New Lebanon and looking for somewhere to eat around 7:30 PM. Being a small town, there weren't many options still open, so we called to see if they were still serving dinner. The sweetest lady answered and told us their kitchen closed at 8:00 PM, but they would still be happy to take us. We're SO glad we called! The moment we walked in, we loved the place. It was beautifully decorated, with fresh wildflowers they had picked themselves, the tables were set so nicely, and everything had such a warm, cozy, welcoming feel. We were seated immediately and had ice water at the table right away. The service from beginning to end was seriously top-notch. Then the wonderful lady helping us, and I'm so sorry we didn't get her name, brought out freshly baked mini blueberry muffins. OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were DELICIOUS. That was the moment we looked at each other and knew dinner was going to be good. And it absolutely was! Our daughter ordered an omelette, my wife had the steak frites, and I ordered the chicken piccata. Every single dish was delicious. My wife also ordered a blueberry cosmo, which she loved! At this point we were completely stuffed, but there was no way we were leaving without trying dessert. We ordered the red velvet cake AND the chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Did we need both? Absolutely not. Did we finish them anyway? Pretty much! The food was just THAT good. We kept telling ourselves we were full and somehow kept taking another bite. What really made this place special, though, was the hospitality. We came in close to closing time, and instead of ever making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience, they welcomed us with kindness and gave us a wonderful dinner experience. That says a lot about a place. 5 stars all the way. If you're anywhere near New Lebanon, do yourself a favor and stop here. Places like this deserve all the support and business they can get. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. We will DEFINITELY be back, and next time we're coming for breakfast!

It could've been whisked/blended a bit better (separated a bit), but I was happy with it overall. Regarding the catering, I was a big fan of the avocado toast (super fresh and creamy and nice flavor) and tasty muffins (I enjoyed the blueberry muffin.) It takes a bit to make drinks / food, so be sure to allocate some time--this isn't one of the factory-like cafes that churn out drinks / whip out ready-made food. The interior is cute and has assorted offerings of general foods/supplies that were fun to peruse.

And no, I did not "tell them how to run their restaurant" as the petulant owner says below. To be helpful, since I was solo, I asked for a counter seat not a table though there were a bunch empty. The attitudinal counter person snapped "there's a waiting list." When I asked how long, she made a face and said "maybe 15 minutes." Seeing that there were at least four empty tables (and no visible line), and not really wanting to wait 15 minutes for a counter seat, I asked if a two-top were possible. Now she flips out and yells "I said 15 minutes, what do you want a job telling me how to run this place?" I've worked pretty much every restaurant job in my youth from busboy to dishwasher to waiter to kitchen prep -- including in the Berkshires -- and would have been immediately fired if I ever went nuclear on a customer over a harmless question. Instead I got breakfast at another -- friendly, family-owned -- Pittsfield diner, had a great quick meal and tipped 30%. Some people get so full of themselves and their drama. You're serving eggs to your neighbors, not working the velvet rope at an exclusive club.

It was all edible, but there were problems with every single thing we ordered. We started with the marinated mushroom & sausage flatbread: one of the better items and fairly tasty with a tomato sauce base, could have used a tart element like a balsamic drizzle to wake it up a bit. My husband got the Korean bbq burger, which at $27 was honestly a bit insane and doubly so when it wasn't good. There's not a single thing that was wrong, the whole conception is an epic fail. A beef burger should not have an intense taste of soy. Sorry, harsh but true. The exorbitant price is insult to injury. The ham and cheese croquettes should never have been offered with the cinnamon sugar dusting. Another bizarre pairing that makes no sense in your mouth and adds nothing. The dijonnaise was good if a bit mild... amp up the savory flavor and put more ham in the mix with a touch more salt please. Finally, the Public Salad was a good base but needs a bit of a vinegar component to make it sing. I'd recommend red wine vinegar, just a small splash in the dressing. Overall enjoyed it and the chicken was adequately moist. Thank you for having us.
