Having a BBQ spot so close to home will be tempting. On my first visit I ordered food to go. I ordered the sampler plate with three meat selections. The brisket and the turkey were moist and delicious. The sausage was a bit on the greasy side. Speaking of sides... I got the Mac-n-Cheese which was creamy. Truly a comfort food. I look forward to trying more of the menu next time. read more

I was lucky enough to have Mission BBQ the last time I was in MD. All I have to say is that the food is simply amazing. The baby back ribs were probably the best I've ever had, and I've have my fair share of fantastic ribs in many different parts of the country but primarily across the Southeast. From pulled pork brisket to smoked chicken to smoked ribs, this place gets it done! And did I forget to mention jalapeño and cheddar smoked sausage!? and some seriously amazing baked beans and mac n cheese?! For BBQ in MD, this is simply as good as it gets. read more

Ok so let me start by saying I'm not the type to write reviews. Quite honestly I've been a self proclaimed foodie for many, many years, however this is the first review that I have ever wrote... And here is why: I tried the succulent baby back ribs one day last week and they have been on my mind ever since. So I figured, why not give my mom a call to get her impression on the food. So there we are sitting there eating the tasty ribs and my mom says "OMG these ribs are unbelievable", thereby confirming my belief that these ribs are "off the meat rack" good. Now, I don't eat cheese but my mom was recommended the Macaroni & Cheese by (the exceptionally courteous store employee) Taylor. Lets just say my mom gave this Mac & Cheese her homecooking stamp of approval. The baked beans were awesome, but lets move on to dessert. The Caramel Bread Pudding, is the reason I'm writing this review. Words can't describe how unbelievably great the CBP was, so I won't attempt. In closing, you need to go to this Mission spot and get your eat on. I guarantee, you will leave with a smile on your face. Overall, great food, great service, my expectations were far exceeded, this is my new food craving for atleast the next few weeks. Thank you America and Good night. read more

Lovvvvveeeee this place! Good food and good value! I've never been disappointed. My go to is the pulled pork or chicken with Mac and cheese!!!! Soooo good!!!! Corn bread is really good along with the sandwich bread they use! Sweet tea mixed lemonade juice to top it off, PERFECTION read more

Ohhhh my gosh this place was so good we are from Ohio so we like to find good places to eat in other states my opinion is to definitely try this place the best brisket and pork I've ever had and the best Mac n cheese and the service was great very nice and polite the server knew it was our first time she gave us little things cup holders and such all in all a very goood place for the family or any time read more

WHO CHARGES BY THE RIB? Only reason this is not a one star is because customer service is great. I know we aren't in Carolina, Texas or Memphis but we can do better Baltimore. Brisket was dry and a single rib for 2.50 a peice is a bit ridiculous, I mean you can get a whole bag-a-ribs for 5 at the local chinese joint. Shame on you coprorate. I expected more out of Canton. read more

I always stop by whenever im in the Canton area. It's the best. I swear. My fav's would be moist brisket, baby back ribs and their half chicken. Sausages were ok. I'd give the sides and corn bread a 8.5/10. Good, not great, especially the cornbread. My cornbread were very dry on 2 different occasion. I didnt mind since the food was very good. Service is also very good and fast. Most of all, i like their cause of supporting our troops and veterans. This place is great. read more

I was trying to find a place to eat and the manager of this place approached me and recommended me this. His recommendation was correct because this place has the best tasting meat ever. When I asked for my sides they only gave me 1 of 2 sides that I asked for, but they quickly approached me and fixed the problem. I am definitely going to come back and recommend this place to all my relatives and friends. read more

The brisket is really tasty for someone who doesn't usually order it. The Mac n cheese is the best fast food Mac n cheese I've ever had. The condiment choices are awesome; I love the old baby BBQ. Great fast dining experience. read more

I love Andy Nelson's BBQ in Cockeysville, MD and I consider it the best in Maryland; So, naturally, I was hesitant to go to Mission BBQ. My family wanted to go so I figure'd I'd give it a shot. My sister recommended I try the Smoked turkey platter with two sides. I chose the turkey with Sweet Potato Mash and Green Beans. The meal cost me around $12.00 and came with a drink. The turkey was juicy and perfectly seasoned. They have many sauces on the table, like most BBQ places have, but my sister asked for this special sauce at the counter which was amazing (I can't remember the name). The green beans were great. I never eat greens, but my family recommended me trying it. The bacon bits mixed with the juice at the bottom of the cup made it so delicious. The sweet potato mash was good, like sweet potatoes normally are. They added brown sugar to the top and butter. The lemonade was tasty, but didn't blow me away. I would definitely come back again for the turkey. I still want to try the pulled pork to see if it can hold a flame to Andy Nelson's. read more

The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The greens beans, and mac/cheese was the best. The RIBS WERE SALTY. Overall the food was good. Prices very reasonable. read more

Portions are huge! You can get a nice meal for under 16 dollars with entry, 2 sides and a drink. My favorite dishes are: The chopped brisket sandwich that is smothered in the memphis bell bbq sauce that is sweet and soft. The fries are cooked perfect with the right amount of seasoning. The lean Brisket. Its tender, moist, and just melts in your mouth. All there sides are good. Each table has different flavors of bbq sauces ranging from sweet to tangy to spicy. Mission BBQ gets packed for lunch and dinner. If you go get there a little early or late if you plan on eating in. If you are patriotic, they sing the National Anthem everday at noon. They look out for the soldiers by donating funds from their earnings. God Bless America! read more

Usually a loyal customer here. Drove all the way across the city craving bbq (didn't realize they closed at 9pm) and arrived at 9:03pm to the doors locked and a mostly full restaurant inside. I thought maybe we could just get something to go but I stood at the glass door peering in and knocking and 2 servers walked by and looked the other way. Totally ignored me - super rude. A bunch of kids working that can't wait to close up shop on the dot. read more

My favorite thing here was without a doubt the baby back ribs. I got a sampler of two and wasn't impressed, the brisket was a bit dry and thin and the pulled pork wasn't as juicy and flavorful as pulled pork usually is. Our food came out extremely quickly and the array of barbecue sauces was nothing short of extensive. read more

I love you, Mission BBQ. You're there for me on days when I just can't get it together enough to cook something. And no matter how finicky my dining companion is, there is always something for everyone. Also, y'all make some great bbq sauce. That Memphis sauce is somethin' else. read more

We ordered catering from this location for 50 people about a week before our actual event date, received an invoice for nearly $1,000. It was supposed to have been delivered at 11:30 on the morning of, and by 12 noon, we had not heard from the restaurant regarding our order. After calling for nearly an hour and being transferred from person to person to person, we learned that the delivery driver just decided not to show up for work that morning, and instead of sending another driver out to deliver our food for FIFTY HUNGRY PEOPLE, they just left the food on the counter. No calls, no notices, nothing. Severely disappointed in the way this catering order was handled. Needless to say, we will be taking our catering orders elsewhere from this point forward. read more

I'm not sure if folks are familiar with BBQ but this is not what I consider it to be. The ribs were meaty but no taste at all. That spicy rub that leaves your mouth tingling and may be too hot for some is not what makes for a good, tasty rib. I also had the half a chicken and it had no taste at all. The sauces provide for a good taste and you're looking to disguise the semi-lighter fluid/kerosene flavor. The fries were delicious and the green beans would be a 5 again, without the spice. I can't recommend this place for anyone that's use to having down home, southern, country pork. Maybe we should have went with the pulled pork but we will never know as I have no reason to return again. read more

First time on 5/23/15; got 1/2lb brisket and turkey. Must ask for the brisket moist otherwise you will get the cutter's choice. Turkey was very tender and seasoned. Also got a side of the Brisket Baked beans which was awesome! I like when you can go to a BBQ spot and the sides are also smoked and flavorful. read more

Great food. Lots of American pride. At noon, everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing and stood for the national anthem. They also have reserved parking for vets. Any place with that kind of pride in our country gets 5 stars in my book read more

My son introduced me to this place a while back and today I took one of my best friends here, your staff member named Cathy could not have been more friendly or helpful. Its workers like her that make you want to come back. Thank you for honoring our veterans and first responders. Your food was delicious and we plan to come back, thank you read more

It's to corporate I want my BBQ a bit more grimy and dirty. I appreciate seeing staff get told to move out the way I can do this better in a mom and pop joint. Not to mention I get it you support the troops but I feel the sentiment is almost cheapened to a money thing because you are flashing it around. The grub was ok but I don't think I'll be running back here anytime soon. read more

If half stars were allowed, I would give Mission BBQ a 3.5. The space is huge and clean and has plenty of outdoor seating. The food is very good, but the portion sizes are pretty modest. The sides are decent, but nothing out of this world. Mission is great for takeout or dining in. I would recommend. read more

Didn't really know what to do for dinner one night while we were in Brewers Hill grabbing some brews so we opted to hit up Mission BBQ. When we walked in we really didn't know what to do, so we sort of looked around and a nice guy came over and instructed us on what to do. He even offered to allow us to try stuff! Hell yeah! Free BBQ! They had a great mix of sides and main BBQ items. I'm a traditionalist and I stuck with what I know, Carolina style pulled pork. It's my favorite and it must be topped with slaw. I also had a side of fries and beans with bacon. Once you order, you stand to the side and wait as they fire your food onto trays and then you go snag a chair. Each table had a selection of about 6 sauces and a roll of paper towels. I tried the spicy sauce with my fries and it was pretty good. Now onto the sammich. The one thing about this pork was it tasted sweet. That's unusual to me because it should be vinegary and a bit spicy. But it was sweet. Sweet? Hmmmmm. Ok, well I moved on and polished that sandwich off like a champion. The fries were pretty good and so were the beans. My wife had the brisket and that was very tasty. This place was definitely decent and the employees were super nice. I would recommend giving this place a go. I am sure I will be back. read more

Mission BBQ - NC pulled pork sandwich - Barbeque Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Had the brisket, chicken, Mac and cheese, yams and apple cobbler. Everything was delicious. I will definitely return

My favorite is the brisket. I also like the tribute at noon. Great touch and good food.

Great food and the staff is awesome. I sat outside and brought my dog along. One of the staff members came out and offered him a water bowl and took a few minutes to just talk to us. I definitely recommend. read more

Impressed! Was def skeptical... But when I saw Brunswick stew on the menu I was pumped. The meats were all delicious and they had great sides. The caramel bread pudding was phenomenal. The sauces were just ok but when you have North Carolina vinegar and pulled pork I'm all in! Will definitely be back. read more

"He' demanded that we go eat BBQ, and I always seen this place while I am at Target so I decided to give it a try. The inside is nice decorated. The menu hasd a decent selction. There was a good amount of choices to choose from. The staff was very friendly and they answered all my questions. The food was really good. But the portions were kind of small read more

I just went here for the first time and was impressed by the food and how fast they were. Pulled chicken was great!

Went to Mission BBQ for the first time last night. Ordered two 2-meat sampler combos (which include a side, a Slice of cornbread, and a drink) and it was 25 bucks. Which I think is relatively cheap for BBQ. Lots of great sauces, you can grab a beer, super quick service, lots of places to sit, and super friendly staff! I got the pulled chicken and pulled pork with a side of sweet potato mash and my fiancé got pulled pork and brisket with a side of mac and cheese. Everything was great in flavor but some of meat did seem a tiny bit dry- but all the sauces totally made up for it. Overall, probably not the best BBQ in Baltimore, but maybe the best for the money. read more

This place probably deserves 4.5 stars, but what can you do? I've been to two different locations, and both had very consistent quality. The meat is good, and the sauces interesting. The cornbread is a bit dry though. I like the decor, and the industrial feel of the place. It was pretty hard to find though- we drove around the parking lot and it seems to be positioned in such a way that we couldn't see it from the majority of the driveway through the lot. It's really close to Boston St, near the Farm style restaurant and the MyEyeDr. This is due to the confusing suburban layout of the shopping center than anything Mission BBQ has done. read more

Get the sweet tea! Just get it no questions, too good for words. Lol!! This was our first visit and it was well worth it. I had pulled pork and Momma had the brisket. Both were very yummy. She had mac and cheese which was good but the cheesy potatoes are amazing!! Esp with the addition of Old Bay seasoning. (Yes Old Bay goes on EVERYTHING!) good portions, and a variety of sauces. The ones by the sodas are not at the table so make sure you get them there if you want to try them. The Alabama White looks like ranch, it's anything but ranch. Very good when mixed with meat. Restaurant was very clean and staff was attentive. read more

We had a great lunch here. I have never been at a Mission BBQ. I loved the choices and the staff was really friendly.

As usual I'm never disappointed! Another great location. I had the lean brisket with green beans and bacon. Decided that my favorite sauces are Memphis Belle, Texas twang, and Baybque. There staff was very attentive. Two different people came over to check on us and our trays were cleared for us. I will most definitely be back to this location. read more

Good. Really good. Enjoyed a market sampler which was 1/4 lb of 3 meats - I chose brisket, pork and turkey. All were excellent in their own right. I ordered the brisket lean and it was tender, the pork was super moist and flavorful, and the turkey was incredibly juicy. I was suprised that all 3 were so good. On the other side, it came with a side of cornbread which was a little dry and needed sugar for my taste. Total for the meal was $14, no drinks or sides. A little steep. The better values are sandwiches but I wanted to try them all so no regrets there. I enjoyed it and will return. read more

The food was really good. Service was friendly and helpful. Gotta love the military gear everywhere and the 1200 salute to the flag.

Upfront I'll confess that I'm a BBQ snob. When Mission first opened in Baltimore I avoided it because I told myself (1) there's no way that chain BBQ will live up to my standards and (2) I'd be cheating on Andy Nelson's - best BBQ in Baltimore area in my opinion. I've now been to Mission a couple of times and admit they are amazing. Completely different styles of BBQ than Andy Nelson's so they really don't compete in my mind now. Mission's chopped brisket sandwich with their Memphis Belle sauce and their green beans cooked with bacon make me weak in the knees they're so good. I love that a portion of the proceeds go to The Wounded Warriors Project - my favorite charity. Because of that I don't mind the fact that they are a bit on the pricey side with their a la carte style setup. Also - a huge bonus to a Carolina girl like me - they (sometimes) even have Cheerwine soda (insert no high fructose corn syrup, caffeinated swoon here). Service has always been amazingly both friendly and efficient. Great array of house made sauces - all BBQ lovers should be able to find something they love. Even self confessed BBQ snobs. read more

Mission BBQ - Chopped brisket sandwich & fries... Yummmmmmm - Barbeque Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

I love barbecue so I showed up on opening day to try the new Mission BBQ at Canton Crossing. Great building and decoration and really good service. I got a two meat platter with brisket and pulled pork. Both meats were very tender and juicy, but lacked any discernible smoke flavor. To be honest it was kind of disappointing. However, I loved 4 of the 6 bbq sauces. I could not get enough and was torn between Texas, KC, and the Alabama, with the Alabama probably my favorite (vinegary, little spicy, sweetened with honey). To be honest, I love sauces and really good sauces can make up for just okay meat. I had a few bites of the jalapeño and cheese sausage that they had as an opening day sample while we waited in line; it was really good, better than I would think from a sausage with cheese. Sides were good. Since they were handing out samples of sides I got to taste the beans, cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. All were good but the beans were excellent and definitely my favorite. Overall it's good but not great. It is a dollar or so over priced as a meal with two meats, a side, and a fountain soda was around $12. Food is probably three stars, but service and sauces are definitely five stars. read more
