Never going back. They sweep their rugs while inside and dirt and debris goes flying all through the air, getting into people's drinking cups, and on and in everything. Plus, you get to breath it while eating your ribs. When I said to the manager, "This is not the way to sweep a rub on the inside" the manager sided with the employee, who was a curly red head teen boy, who clearly didn't want to hear anything I was saying about that. He was beating the rugs with the broom so hard, his broom went above his own head. So, meanwhile, I stopped eating my food to come back in and coach. So now, I 'm asking for the manager;- food in hand. He was a Spanish guy, who said he was the manager. This guy didn't care and tried to tell me how dust doesn't travel through the air that way. We had a lot of pollen this year. It's all over this kid beating it up in the air. I suggested, take those big pieces of carpet outside if he's going to beat them like that. He just gave me a DUHH look. They have food exposed in the back, a they pull meat out and cut it, they fryer is open and all of that dirt from the rugs - stuff off people's shoes, stuff from people's oses went flying in the air. But it's ok- service was good, the cashier was super friendly so that made up for my order not being ready. lol My order consisted of Salmon with a Sadie of potato salad, green beans, baked beans, macaron and cheese and potato salad. My only complaint was everything was a bit on the salty side :/ However my Arnold Palmer was delicious! I would come here again- and with future orders would see if I'm able to take away some of the seasonings used for the Salmon...just a little. This was our first time trying Mission BBQ and we were not disappointed! This is one of the better bbq chains out there. The cashier who helped us (taller blonde lady) was very friendly and explained the menu for us since it was our first time. It was hard choosing which meats to get, and this place also gives samples to help you decide--WHAT. I sampled the turkey (which surprisingly had a little kick to the skin) but I wound up getting a sampler with the brisket and pulled pork, plus the black plate special, which is smoked ribeye. The smoked ribeye was SO delicious, even on its own without any sauces. Very, very good. The brisket was succulent and fall apart tender, while the pulled pork was good but a little dry. The collard greens were tasty with a nice kick, and the macaroni and cheese was tasty as well. The cornbread was alright, nothing special. My husband got a 3 meat sampler with brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken. The chicken was nice and moist. He got the potato salad (which he raved about) and the baked beans which were also super tasty. There are 6 different sauces at the table, not including the NC vinegar (great on the pulled pork). My favorite was by far the Smoky Mountain sauce, sooooo good. I would buy it if they're selling it! They gave us a free dessert as well!!! That was pretty cool. Maybe it's because I'm pregnant, lol. Delicious. This is the best Mission BBQ I've had so far, and the first time I had Mission BBQ I also thought it was delicious. But THIS specific location in Annapolis is definitely the bee's knees . Fast service, like, we were in and out but the food was fresh hot fresh. Personally I think the food is delicious because it's got great energy going on inside. I got the 2 Meat Sampler--Brisket (lean) & Pulled Pork. The Brisket slices were about a half inch thick in some , tender, perfectly seasoned and meaty with a thin try delicious bark. Pulled pork was perfectly seasoned wonderfully tender and they gave me a nice heap of it. Honesty the portion size in and of itself despite it not being a meal was perfect. The cornbread absolutely delicious. Definitely my second favourite restaurant cornbread. It was a nice THICC piece, dense but light and was basically the most corn tasting bread I've had before. Most of the time it's butter or sugar but this, this was yummy. The giant Mac and Cheese my husband got was so delicious that I don't actually remember if he got food or if he ate the Mac n Cheese for for the next 3 days he ate leftovers of it and while it's not like it is fresh, it definitely reheats like homemade leftovers and is just as delicious as well. Bottom Line: Consistently tasty barbecue and friendly service. I am hooked on Mission BBQ! My go to menu items are either the stack of sliced turkey or the pile of pulled chicken. Then from there I like to either get a side salad with Italian dressing or indulge in their french fries. In fact, Mission BBQ's french fries are my favorite fries so it can be hard for me to resist their salt and peppery goodness. Another favorite of mine at Mission BBQ is their Bay-B-Que sauce. I really appreciate that they have six different sauces to choose from and its fun trying the different flavors. Aside from the Old Bay inspired Bay-B-Q, I like to mix in a little sweetness from the Memphis Belle sauce. While Mission BBQ offers Pepsi fountain sodas, iced tea, lemonade and specialty bottled drinks, I sure wish they had diet Coke! Hello. I usually frequent the Greenbelt, MD location (outstanding), however I was in the Annapolis area and decided to stop in for my favorite ribs (whole rack), brisket (moist) and steak. I ordered to-go and was prepared for me and my family to feast, I got home (30 mins) and the steak was tan-ish, bland, and flavorless. I tried to doctor it up but it was missing all the flavor, smokiness, and grilled taste. Everyone tasted a small piece (family of 5) and we ended up trashing it. Very disappointed! Then we go to the ribs, which were delicious but the 6 Smokey Mountain sauces were like jelly when we opened it. Very weird and the consistency made us just throw them away. Gross! Wowsa. Somehow I had missed that Mission BBW is nearby now. I stopped for lunch today. It was fairly early, so folks were coming in & out, but it was not too crowded. The menu offers lots of options. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich (a huge portion). Sides are a la carte, and the cold slaw was excellent. They have all the sauces right at the table: six choices plus NC vinegar. I tried the Tupelo honey heat sauce, which was a good choice. There are nice indoor & outdoor seating options. Inside, they have booths, hightops, bench type tables, and two tops. Outside, they have a good sized area with picnic tables & umbrellas. The staff at this place was extremely friendly and helpful. They had someone circulating around the dining area checking to be sure everyone was satisfied. She even picked up my tray when I finished. They'll answer any questions you have and give recommendations. When you go to pick up your order, they double check your order and they're just super nice about it. My husband loves their BBQ beans and has been trying to recreate them in our kitchen, with little success. Their food is also really good. Mission BBQ is a pretty consistent establishment. The quality of their food (chicken, pulled meats, salmon, and brisket) is always good and the customer service is generally outstanding. The ribs aren't memorable to me but the selection of BBQ sauces help greatly. My favorite is the Sweet Heat followed by the Memphis Belle. Corn bread is good and a bit on the sweet side; green beans tasty with a little spice/heat; cheesey potatoes are tasty; Mac and Cheese is okay; baked beans are sweet and a bit tangy but they are okay. They have monthly black plate specials and my favorites are the smoked meatloaf (nice and firm with awesome flavor); fried chicken (yes, and it's amazing when they offer it); and the smoked ribeye. Overall, I always enjoy my food from Mission BBQ and it reheats extremely well. read more

I have been to many Mission BBQ locations and they are all very consistent. The pulled pork is fantastic, the brisket is fantastic. I like their chicken as well but I seem to always go back to the pork and brisket. Their fries are excellent and the portions quite large. It is a great value in my opinion because good barbecue is not cheap to make. They have a large selection of sauces from different BBQ regions around the USA. It was amazing until I had a hair in my mouth. Okay, never ordering Mac and cheese again because it was so gross. Now, years later, a very satisfied customer and I just stayed away from the Mac and cheese. I ordered just baby backs. They were amazing as usual until I had just 2 ribs left. Not again, on the ribs, how? A long brown hair was stuck between my teeth. It was so gross I threw up. Went back the next day and they made it right, but never going back to this location again.
