This is a great on mountain eatery. The menu is small but what is in it is great. Highly recommended is you skiing at Jay.

This place is fantastic. Staff is kind, helpful, cheerful, and happy to take constructive criticism. You are above all extraordinarily passionate. The Ramen is fantastic! I come from New York and it certainly holds up to the Ramen places there. There is outdoor seating with a nice gas fire, but you're also welcome to take your Ramen into one of the ski lodges. We drive 45 minutes just for this. It IS worth it. Bones roasted for many hours for the authentic deep flavor you taste in the broth. Staff very friendly. Sometimes it's hard to get variety of cuisines in the NEK. So appreciate they are here. read more

So happy that there is authentic ramen in Vermont- the noodles were perfect. They even have a vegetarian option, and it has a great broth. I went with 2 others and they greatly enjoyed their bowls as well. While the food was amazing, an added bonus was getting to hang out with their shiba inu, Miso! My son's ski instructor owns it, and he told him about this Ramen noodle store. We decided to go and check it out. Now I have lived in Japan for a year, and I can tell you that this is identical to what I had in Japan. They have amazing food and it is especially satisfying after a long day of skiing or snowboarding on the slopes. The whole family ate well, and all thanks to the two amazing chefs (a husband and wife team). Third time's a charm! We live 6 hours away.. 1st attempt- closed. we didnt know the hours and arrived after 6pm. 2nd attempt- theyre in japan. 3rd attempt- success! Came here for lunch yesterday. met momo and momo's momma who are very nice and friendly. momo even helped me bring my food inside when she saw my arm was broken. much appreciated. got me some sesame soy (shoyu) ramen and the dumplings (gyoza). I met their shiba inu who is very laid back and clearly not vicious :) shoyu ramen- the broth is where its at, its bursting with flavors, with hints of sesame and toasted garlic bits. its a little on the greasy side but i think thats from the sesame oil. noodle is on the firm side, egg was cooked perfectly and the pork slices was more than enough for me. gyoza- was tasty. could use a little more meat filling and less cabbage. could also be more generous on the soy sauce/rice vinegar sauce. i only had a tiny drizzle and i think more sauce wouldve made me enjoy the gyoza more. will def come back next snowboard season for sure! read more

Was just there AGAIN tonight. This place is unbelievable. We discovered it last year when someone close to us had a bowl of their ramen and the delicious smell hit us. Since then it has been a our favorite meal and during a long weekend stay we will order from there multiple times. The guy at the register tonight was incredibly friendly. They have punch cards for repeat customers. The food is fresh and delicious and made to order. It is an awesome healthy option on the mountain. On top of that, it is the neatest set up, several guys working out of a ski gondola lol. Great photo op. So do yourself a favor and go get yourself the best ramen you will ever eat. So I just had amazing ramen with the tastiest green tea from a quaint food truck, but got to eat my soup in what felt like someone's living room in Japan, next to an adorable Shiba Inu named Miso. Hearty, savory broth with perfect veggies and a perfectly cooked egg. I could drink a gallon of that broth. I can now die happy. read more

This restaurant is horrible, if you can even call this dumpster a restaurant. 1. Fu***** retarded prices Almost 14 dollars for a tiny bowl of noodles when you can buy a 36 pack of ramen for only 18$. A bottle of water was 2$ when you could easily walk into the lodge and get infinite free water just by asking. 2. As far as gourmet ramen goes, this place is very mediocre. The location is pretty cool, in an old tram right on the base of the mountain. Folks working were very nice, although I couldn't gauge how knowledgeable they actually were about gourmet ramen. For my dish I chose the spicy miso, and I can say I've definitely had better. Coming from NY/NJ area we have many great authentic gourmet ramen restaurants, so I knew what good ramen should taste like. I suppose for a resort destination, especially in northern Vermont, this is probably as good as it gets up here. It's also very pricy for the going rate of a bowl of gourmet ramen, but I guess the price is commensurate with a resort location. Don't allow these other reviews to set your expectations too high or you'll be sadly disappointed. read more

Drove from Woodstock, VT, well for Jay Peak also, but I don't think there's a better lunch option in the area. Simple, flavorful and very well done!. We had a Miso and a Spicy, both to go, and they survived the trip very well. Ramen was perfect and broth was excellent! My son loved the perfectly cooked egg, wished there was another. This review is way overdue. These guys and gals have served me over 20 bowls of delicious miso ramen this season and every single one has been spot on. There are 3 things that any good food establishment must accomplish in order to be top notch in my book. Quality, Consistency and Customer service. These cats hit it out of the park on all three. Every bowl is prepared to order with fresh and tasty ingredients. The noodles are of a perfect consistency, the veggies fresh, the pork and egg cooked to perfection, and the hot steamy broth will bring any tired and cold skier or rider to their sore respective knees. I enjoy both regular and spicy versions. They also have some other variations and items which I have yet to try but surely will soon. Big up to the owners (hubby and wifey I think) and super big up to Leo and Austin from the Merrimack valley. I would also add an additional star if I could because they ask you for your name when you order and my name is joe and the place sings " Heeeeey Joe... where you going with that miso in your hand" each time my bowl is ready which is both witty and awesome. read more

I'm not one for writing reviews. You have to either really wow me or really make me hate you to get me to leave you a review. This couple really wowed me. I stayed across the street in the Jay Village Inn and decided to run across the road to check this place out, quite underdressed for a brisk Vt evening. As I was perusing the menu the gentleman the owned the food truck could see I was visibly cold and insisted I take the down jacket and gloves he had, while I waited. So I decided to do the basic miso ramen they offer and while his wife was preparing that he and I shared a pleasant conversation. So, as for the food it was delicious. Definitely hit the stop after a day on the mountain. The broth was rich and savory, the pork belly tender and juicy. Our ski instructor told us about this place. It's a shack in the parking lot that makes the most amazing ramen noodles. The great part is broth that makes it so delicious. And it's operated by a Japanese women. You should call to confirm hours as they often run out of broth. read more
