There is a ramen shop and an onigiri shop at Jay Peak!!! The ramen shop is in an old ski tram car. The cashier takes the order from one window and writes it on a piece of paper which he clips with a clothespin on a line to push to the other end of the car where 3 others are busily chopping, cooking, and assembling the noodles to be picked up at another window. The soup is a choice of shoyu, spicy shoyu, miso, spicy miso, and vegetarian. The noodles are not rehydrated, but fresh and springy, likely manufactured by Sun Noodles which produces almost all the fresh ramen noodles in the country. Each bowl (except for vegetarian) was accompanied by pork chasu, spinach, shredded carrots, and black & white sesame seeds. The spiciness is from a spicy red pepper,

I don't think I can get over the fact that they changed the recipe and removed kombu from the shiitake onigiri! It used to be absolutely perfect, but now it's just decent. Still, one of the better things to eat on the mountain, but because of the change I'm a little more likely to settle for bringing my own lunch. Bring back the kombu!!

I had ramen from Miso Hungry twice during a weekend music festival at Waterfront Park in Burlington. The people working in the truck were friendly and seemed like they were having fun even in the sweltering heat boiling all those noodles! It's also a testament to how good their food is, because normally at 80+ degrees I wouldn't even think of eating hot ramen at an outdoor concert. And yet I did it - twice! I got the miso ramen (regular) and the miso ramen (spicy). The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a great texture. The broth was super flavorful and rich, exactly what I want for a ramen bowl. The spiralized carrot was a nice addition and the eggs were perfectly cooked with jammy yolks. The bowls also had spinach which I really loved since I usually add spinach to my miso soup when I make it at home. The pork belly was a little tough but definitely still edible. The spicy ramen was not spicy at all, but luckily it was the same price as the regular miso ramen. Definitely check them out if you like ramen! They also have a kid ramen bowl and donburi.

Came here for lunch while staying at the resort. Ramen was good but small serving for price $15. Meat had good flavor. Great name and use of an old tram plus it was worth it for some culinary variety. Take out only. Only open noon to 5 pm select days of the week in summer. Friendly service.

Here at Jay Peak for spring break with our kids. The Miso Hungry stop right at the base of the lifts is a MUST! I lived in Japan and this is totally "authentic" and delicious! The owners were so friendly and helpful. My son, DIL and myself totally enjoyed our ramen bowls.

First of all, the staff are amazing and super friendly which makes the wait worthwhile. The food is perfect! I got the spicy miso ramen and added fried ramen- I wanted 3 more bowls I wanted the dumpling but the guy ahead of us bought all of them . Can't wait until I'm back in the area so I can have more of this hidden treasure

This place beats out nyc joints hands down and I don't even like miso! The crew working are super friendly and nice. They accommodated our requests with no hesitation. The broth, noodles, ingredients, etc were all top quality. Don't miss this spot when visiting! Worth every penny!

A bowl full of spicy ramen post ski day? Perfect stop on the way home from the mountain. They have both veggie broth and bone broth, spicy or regular and miso. A lot of them come with pork, but you can also get a straight veggie version which was really good - add an egg to make it more hearty (though the bowl is pretty big and full itself). Not overly salty like a lot of ramen can be. This place has big spoons and reusable chop sticks, but also has all compost- able utensils if that weirds you out. It's a cool little food truck with quality food.

Phenomenal ramen! Their broth is probably the best Miso broth I've ever tasted. Will be back tomorrow:)

I get it that ramen is not a health food, but everything felt a little on the extra greasy side. The real issue was the dining experience! Essentially, the place is a dispenser for Uber drivers and takeout customers sitting there playing on their phones. The decor inside is very basic and devoid of any real character. Think of your run of the mill cheap Chinese restaurant. The constant stream of delivery drivers and ringing bells just made it awkward to sit and wait for the food, which took way longer than expected, even though I was promised it wouldn't, again because of the constant stream of orders. The staff was slightly rude and not very attentive but they were totally overwhelmed. Each time a delivery driver comes and goes, which is practically non-stop, you get a big blast of cold wet air from outside. Also, even though I clearly stated "for here," my food came packaged up to go in a s*** ton of disposable plastic. I get it, mistakes happen or I was misheard, but it just added to the feeling that you are not supposed to sit and eat on premises. It has a similar vibe to when you walk into a $tarbuck$ nowadays and try to order in person at the counter and they give you a quizical look to let you know you are doing it wrong for not using the app or whatever. Overall, it is great that this place seems to be thriving and busy and I wish them success. I will give it another shot. Just don't eat there on person!

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. From the moment we sat down, the attitude from behind the bar set the tone in the worst way. The older woman tending bar was openly dismissive, rolled her eyes at simple questions about the menu, and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her every time we ordered a drink or asked for something basic like water or silverware. No greeting, no smile, and zero effort to be even minimally polite. At one point she dropped drinks in front of us without a word and walked away before we could even ask for what was missing. It's a shame, because the kitchen clearly cares, but the experience at the bar completely overshadowed how good the food was. If ownership ever addresses the front-of-house attitude, this could be a fantastic place, but until then, be prepared for excellent plates paired with some truly miserable service.
